Tall Trunk Galaxy - The Flotacious Blimp Fruit

Nice and easy! Power up! -Transmission 12

Welcome Back to the Galaxy!

The galaxy name is very descriptive. We land on a planet with a very tall tree. The music from Yoshi Star Galaxy plays here. We can walk under the tree to the dirt below. There is a 1-up on the underside in crystal, and we also find a Yoshi egg. Back near the tree, we get 2-up from dealing with 8 Piranha Plants in the Bonus Area. The inhabitants of Tall Trunk are people made out of carved wood- the Whittles. We are told "Tree top. Good." and "Blue fruit. Delicious." We approach the aforementioned blue fruit, which looks like a large, bulbous berry. Yoshi eats it and automatically inflates and starts floating upward as he exhales in a whistle. Yoshi runs out of air and lands on a platform branch of the tree. There is a sign that says we can make Yoshi hold his breath to float and hover in midair. Another sign says to shake to land. On a higher branch, we get a Life Shroom. Looking out from near the top of the tree, we can see two more planets in the distance. One is cylindrical and the other is very long and sometimes spiraled. We reach the Launch Star and launch to the cylindrical planet.

We reach the midgate which has more of the blue Blimp Fruit. We use it to get the Comet Medal near the ? Coin. We also collect the coins from the ? Coin for a 1-up. Nearby we find Launch Star Chips. We know the drill-collect all 5 to reform the broken Launch Star. We have to make the cylindrical nature of the planet work for us so we can collect all of the Chips when our Blimp Fruit runs out. To complicate matters are Paragoombas and the red spiky plants. We take a hit from a red spiky plant, but recover Yoshi and launch once we get all 5 Chips.

We land near the midgate in a spiral 2D planet. The path moves in a spiral and we must float upwards towards the Star while dodging the red spiky plants and Paragoombas.

Interlude

The music has changes slightly on S.S. Mario. Lubba says we have another hungry mouth to feed. There is a new pipe in the left ear. There is a new friend with something special for us. There are shooting stars in the background. We go into the green pipe and find a plush red room with a blue Luma waving around dice. We can trade 30 Star Bits for one spin, but I decide I can get my own 1-ups much more cheaply. I get a 1-up from the die outside the pipe.
