Welcome Back to the Galaxy!
We land back in Melty Monster and spy a green pipe just to the left of the main platform. We find the Chimp has set up a new game and wants us to try it. We get a Rock Mushroom and trip the midgate. We roll into the Chimp and off the level. Let's try this again!
Take 2- The Chimp wants us to use the Rock Shroom to bowl into the Pinheads- the bowling pin shaped enemies we met much earlier. Each one gives us 100 pts and we need 5000 or more. I got 600 before rolling off the level.
Take 3- We progress a little further and find that the Pinheads are arranged in clusters, with ramps to the next platform. Some of the platforms have challenges, including gaps and rotating platforms on which the Pinheads sit. There is also a blue area where Mario cannot step over or he'll get a foul and be returned to the start of that platform. His score will not diminish. He can go over the foul line, but he has to be a rolling rock. This time I got 3300 pts before rolling off.
Take 4- 2000 pts.
Take 5- 2300 pts.
Take 6- 1100 pts. At this point, I gave up to try and get other Stars.
Take 7- I returned to the game and got 2200 points.
Take 8- 4300 points. So close! I rolled off on the rotating platform.
Take 9- 5100 points. You don't have to hit every Pinhead to get 5000+ points. I reached the last platform before being returned to the start. The Chimp is amazed that we beat his score and has to acknowledge us as his greatest rival. We will get a Star to prove it. We should come back to try and beat the score, but I don't think I will.
