It's that time of year again where we hear what's coming our way from Nintendo at E3. This is the Nintendo Direct for the United States.
Pokémon X and Y- These games will take place in the Kalos region. The game will feature new Pokémon and new battle sequences. A new type of Pokémon will appear, called the Fairy type will appear. It is super-effective against Dragon types. Sylveon is part of the Fairy type, as well as Gardevoir, Marill, and Jigglypuff. A new feature of the games is Pokémon-Amie, a way to bond with your Pokémon. Use the Touch Screen to pet and feed them. Launches worldwide October 12.
Super Mario 3D World- This new game for the Wii U features a new bell power-up that turns Mario into Cat Mario, which allows him to pounce to scratch enemies and climb walls. He can also go through clear tubes. Each level has a time limit and flagpole. Luigi, Blue Toad, and Peach will be playable characters, each with their own abilities and personalities. This will be a multiplayer game, featuring cooperative elements and 3D puzzles. Wii U- December
Mario Kart 8- Bikes make a reappearance. Karts have the ability to tilt and drive on two wheels. Karts and bikes both have gliders and the ability to drive underwater. Some tracks allow you to drive upside down or on the sides of walls. Antigravity will be a new feature. There will be new multiplayer modes online. Wii U- Spring 2014
Wii Party U- Features board games and party games, with 80 new minigames. Some are tables games you can play with just the Game Pad. More time for development is required, so it will be released in October.
Wii Fit U- New features will be added, so more time for development is required. It will launch in December.
Art Academy- Developed so that Miiverse artists have more drawing tools to work with. A special version will be available from the Wii U eShop this summer. It will allow you to post directly to Miiverse.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD- Rendered in 1080p. It uses shaders to refine expression and textures. Some adjustments to the tempo of exploration have been made. The Tingle Tuner is now compatible with the Wii U. You can also post on Miiverse by sending messages in bottles, which will wash up on the shores of other players, allowing you to send text and snapshots. October
The Wonderful 101- An action game where a team of heroes defend Earth from a space invader. The heroes can morph into giant weapons. Draw the weapon on the Game Pad to use the ability. The game allows up to 5 players to cooperate. September 15
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze- Donkey Kong's home has been overrun by Vikings. Donkey Kong will go to five other islands to save his home. It will run in 1080p. New camera angles will be utilized. Two players can cooperate. Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Dixie Kong are playable. November
Bayonetta 2- Bayonetta has shorter hair and a new costume and can summon monsters. She has new abilities. 2014
X- From the creators of Xenoblade Chronicles comes a new open-world game. The main character can control human-shaped robots, which can fly, battle, and transform into other vehicles. 2014
Super Smash Bros- New stages with your favorite characters. Villager, from Animal Crossing, is a new combatant. Megaman will also be playable, as well as the Wii Fit Trainer. The website and Miiverse communities are available. Wii U and 3DS 2014
