Toadette starts on the third floor of a gazebo. The Star is on the second floor, but there's no direct way to reach the second floor. Drop down from any side to the terrace, where you'll find white and brown fences, as well as those Piranha Sprouts, that spit rocks at you. The fences will form a maze with the hedges and allow you to reach some places. Hitting the P-Switch will determine whether the white or brown fences are up. If you climb the ladder onto one of the hedges, you'll find the second gem. The first gem is in one of the corners. The third gem is in a gap between two hedges. Pick up a Piranha Sprout on a hedge and carry it, then toss it at the gem to get it. There's a door at the front of the gazebo. With the brown hedges up, walk across the hedge in front of the door and hit the P-Switch nearby to raise the white fences. When the white fences raised, the door to the gazebo opens. Drop down between the two white fences near the door and walk through the door, then go up the ladder to the Star.
Special Challenge: Clear the course using switches three times.
To do this, hit the P-Switch to raise the white fences. While on the ground, go near the gazebo's door and hit the P-Switch in the corner to raise the brown fences. Climb the ladder and hit the P-Switch on the hedges to raise the white fences. Drop between the white fences near the gazebo's door and go inside the gazebo for the Star.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- Episode 2-9. Draggadon's Revenge
You need 55 gems to unlock this level. I have 78.
Toadette finds herself in a cave that's different from the one Captain Toad met Draggadon in. Walk around and Draggadon will appear, with a bump on his head from tangling with Captain Toad. Drop down under the platform you start on and you'll find a hole to the first gem and some coins. There are several gears in the level you can spin. These will spin some shields around so you can protect yourself from Draggadon's flames or progress through the level. Past the first gear is another gear that will spin a bridge into alignment. It has a plant with multiple coins. Use the fan to go up, then drop down towards the wall. There's a plant there with the second gem. The lava starts rising. There's a gear to spin that controls two shields. You'll have to leave yourself open to attack with the first shield in order to pass the second shield. Fireballs will start raining down and leaving lava pools, so be careful. Just up ahead is a fan that is level with the ground. Move it out of the way and drop down to find some coins and the third gem. Walk to the right to find a ladder to get out of that area. Up ahead is a shielded elevator. Spin the gear to make it rise, but do not spin it once you reach the top. Use the fan to cross the lava, spin the gear, and cross the lava on the other side with another fan. This will take you to the ladder to the Star, which will fall and hit Draggadon on the head again. Get the Star on his nose.
Special Challenge: Do not take damage.
After you get the Star, you can control Draggadon. Use the directional pad to change height, then press (A) to breathe fire, which turns brick blocks into coins. After a while, you'll go to the next level.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 18. Wingo's Watch Tower
Captain Toad has finally tracked down Wingo, the giant bird that stole the Star in the beginning and took Toadette along with it. She's still clinging onto Wingo. Wingo will teleport around his tower and flap his wings, creating huge gusts of wind that can push you off the area and move some crates. There's a handle to the right which contains a lot of coins. Go around the corner and you'll find a handle with the first gem. Go around the corner again and there's a handle that will allow you to reach some plants, which have coins. There's a handle near an area where you can drop down. The handle allows you to reach the next level. There are some moving crates here, so wait for Wingo's gusts to move the crates where you need them to be. Keep climbing and you'll see some stacked crates with ladders on each side. Let Wingo move the crates so you can reach a higher level outside the tower. The third gem is here. Wingo will move the crates again so you can reach a doorway that's high up. It leads to a tall ladder and a pipe cannon, which launches you through the clouds.
You'll land at the top of the tower, on a pile of treasure. Wingo will make giant turnips appear and fall on the tower. Keep moving to avoid them. Pick them up and throw them at Wingo. He may teleport, so trying to hit him when he summons more turnips, as he'll hold still and not try to blow you away. After two hits, Toadette will throw you a Mushroom or a 1-up Mushroom, depending on your health. After the third hit, the turnip will end up in Wingo's mouth. He'll swallow it and drop out of the sky. Toadette and the Star will fly up, then land in the treasure, getting stuck in the process. Pull Toadette out to free her and the Star.
After a little dance, the two adventurers take a mine cart back home while the credits roll. Afterwards, the book closes. You'll get the message: Episode 2 is now open!
Special Challenge: Collect 70 coins.
You'll have to grab every coin in the level.

Walk to the left to get out of the water. Climb the ladder and cross the bridge. The bridge will partially drop, creating a ramp down to a plant with the third gem. Walk back up the ramp and either dodge or defeat the Piranha Creeper circling the Star.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 10. The King of Pyropuff Peak
You need 12 gems to unlock this level. At this point, I have 27. Captain Toad is in a cave with a large pool of lava in the center. Walk around and a large, fire-breathing dragon will appear. It's name is Draggadon. His fiery breath spreads out in an arc. Use the walls along the rock path and metal plates as shields. The first gem is in front of a shield, so go after it after Draggadon breathes fire, then run for cover. You'll go up a ladder, and the lava rises, as well as Draggadon, so he can aim for you. Go past the next ladder and you'll find another one behind the rock formation that moves. Climb onto it and it will take you to some coins and the second gem. Go up the other ladder and you'll find a plant with a Super Shroom, as well as a row of four plants. The last plant has the third gem, so time your movements carefully. Go up the next ladder, which has a moving shield. At the top is a rock formation shielding a single plant that will give you ten coins. It will also show you the Star on the other side of the cave. Just past this point, the path starts to fall apart and fireballs drop down, leaving temporary pools of lava. Navigate the narrow paths carefully. You'll find another plant with ten coins ahead, as well as a very tall ladder that leads to the Star. As you climb it, the rock it is up against breaks apart and everything falls over onto Draggadon's head, leaving a large bump. Captain Toad lands on the bump and the Star lands on Draggadon's nose. Walk to the Star to get it.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 9. Spinwheel Bullet Bill Base
This base is surrounded by lava. There are Bill Blasters in a couple of areas. Approach the first gear and spin it. It will make the staircases spin. Rotate them so that you can access the doorway under staircase near the lone Flaptor. You'll find the first gem in there. Spin the gear again so you can go up the stairs. With good timing, approach the gear in the path of the Bullet Bills and spin it. It will rotate the Bullet Bills so you can aim them. Have the break the bricks behind them, then aim them at the bricks near the other staircase. Once all four of those brick blocks are broken, aim the Bullet Bills in the opposite direction. On the other side of the Blasters is the second gem. Return to the first gear and spin it so you can go up the other set of stairs. Drop down and you'll see two Flaptors circling three item blocks. Stand near a block to make the Flaptors hit them. One has a Super Shroom and the others have coins. Walk down the stairs to a platform in the lava. There is a Bill Blaster down here. Carefully cross along the Bullet Bill's path to another gear. Aim it on a diagonal at the moving platform with the bricks. You can't let go of the gear. Once the bricks are gone, rotate the gear so that the small set of stairs you walked down are in the position the Bullet Bill originally was. Take the platform to get the third gem, return to the rotatable path, then walk up the stairs through the doorway in the larger staircase. There is a fourth gear here. Rotate it to move the part of the base you started on. You'll see the Star, but if you keep rotating the gear, you'll find an alcove under the Star. This contains a Gold Mushroom. Rotate the Star into place, then walk to get it.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 8. Mine Cart Tunnel Throwdown
Captain Toad is a dark cave. Drop down into the mine cart and it starts moving. Look at the GamePad for a first-person view so you can aim your unlimited turnips at things. You can either use the joysticks or tilt the GamePad to look around. Look behind you immediately so you can toss a turnip at the first gem. As the cart moves on the rails, you'll see many POW blocks that will trigger other blocks for coins. There are also many Para-Biddybuds. Past the bridge, on the left, is a large set of brick blocks with a POW Block. Hit the POW Block to destroy the brick blocks, revealing the second gem. You'll go around a corner and see some Para-Biddybuds flying in a circle around a stack of rising and falling blocks with the third gem. Use the POW Block in the stack of blocks to get the gem. After a while, the mine cart will go downhill and stop. Slide down the slide to the Star.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 7. Spinwheel Library
Captain Toad is in a library. At the top is the Star. To the left is a gear. Spin it to make part of the library rotate. You'll find the first gem in a small book case that rotates into place if you rotate the floor to the right. The next part will allow you to reach the Star, as well as go into the bookcase underneath it. To the right of the stairs is a golden mushroom. Go under the star for some coins. Spin the gear again and you'll be able to reach the second gem, below and to the right of the Star. Rotate the floor back into its original position to enter the lowest part of the bookcase. There's a purple pipe back there that will take you to the underside of the library. You'll find the Toad Brigade here. Blue Toad will give you the third gem. Return and spin the gear so you can reach the Star.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 6. Shy Guy Heights
Captain Toad finds himself in a hedge maze full of Shy Guys. The red ones will patrol in a set path and the blue ones will spin around. You'll want to avoid their detection or they'll chase after you. Defeating them is fine as long as they don't see you. Go up the ladder, past the first Shy Guy, then down the ladder. Climb the tall ladder and walk over the hedges, then drop down to get the first gem. There's another Shy Guy patrolling this area. Wait until it passes to drop down. Climb the nearby tall ladder and cross over the hedges to the gear. You'll want to spin it so you can reach the area in the middle, but still cross to the other side. Sneak past the blue Shy Guy to reach the bridge with the Flaptors. There are coins and a Mushroom in the middle. On the other side, avoid another patrolling Shy Guy. On the other side of the building are some Flaptors and plants. One of the plants has a pickax. Use it to break the bricks on the building so you can go inside. There are some coins inside, as well as Blue Toad, who'll give you the second gem. Go up the ladder to where two Shy Guys are patrolling around a couple of Shy Guy hedges. Go up the ladders and into the building. You'll find the third gem inside. Climb up the ladders and avoid the Shy Guys to get the Star.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 5. Double Cherry Palace
Captain Toad starts off at near some palace gardens. There's a Double Cherry to the left. With it, Captain Toad gains a clone. Move them towards the P-Switches to split them up. This makes a wall to the gardens drop so they can go explore. Use the hedges to split them up. There's a creature wandering around underground with a plant-like structure on its head. Corner it or stun it with a turnip, then pull on the plant to pull it out of the ground. It will give you the first gem. Be sure to pull all of the plants. Keep the clone separated from Captain Toad and carefully navigate the hedge maze so they can hit the P-Switches on either side. This will make walls appear that divide the hedge maze in half and drop down the walls in the back. Move towards the back and drop down. They'll enter a 2D area with P-Switches and Shy Guys. Alternate hitting switches, which will allow them to drop down and stomp the Shy Guys. The coins will trigger the appearance of more coins. On the left side is a doorway that doesn't exist on the right. Go through it to find the second gem. A little lower, you'll find two doorways. Go through both and you'll find another plant creature. Pull the plant for third gem. Walk back through the doorway so that one of the Captain Toads steps on the P-Switch. This will allow them to reach the bottom of the palace. Have them step on the P-Switches at the bottom, which will remove the wall between them so they can join up. Grab the coins on the way out to an elevator that requires two people to activate. This will take you to the Star. You'll get 10 coins for getting the Star with the clone.
Special Challenge: Collect 70 coins.
You must collect every single coin, from the coins you get from the clone, plus coin plants, plus turnips.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 4. Mushroom Mesa
There are Shy Guys and Flaptors, birds who'll fly around and dive-bomb if Captain Toad gets too close, here. Walk down the ramp and you'll see a couple of holes in the side of the hill. Go through the left one for the first gem, as well as coins and a Mushroom. Stand inside the touchstone and touch it to raise it. Walk up the ramp to the level of the Shy Guys. Kill them all with turnips for the second gem. Drop down the ladder by the Flaptor for a 1-up. Walk around and you'll find more touchstones. Touch the third one to drop it so you can reach the third gem under the grass. Stand on the fourth touchstone's ramp and touch it to raise it to the level of the Star.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 3. Touchstone Trouble
Captain Toad finds himself on some touchstones, platforms that move when you touch them on the GamePad. There's a pink one and a blue one. You'll start on the blue platform. Touch it to raise it and drop down onto the pink touchstone and touch it to make it slide over, revealing a doorway to the first gem. Go back through the doorway and touch the blue touchstone to make it lower. Cross over to the blue touchstone on the other side of the wall. Move the pink touchstone so you can enter the doorway. Ignore the plant for now. Touch the blue touchstone and leave the doorway. You'll be on a lower level of the blue touchstone, where the second gem is. Move the touchstones back so you can reach the plant. Pick it to get a key. Move the pink touchstone so you can reach the ramp leading to the blue touchstone. Drop down there and move under the Star to find a locked door. Use the key to unlock it to find the third gem. Walk back up the ramp and go to where the plant was, move the blue touchstone so that the area where the plant was is level with the top of the pink touchstone. Cross over from the blue touchstone to the pink touchstone, then touch the blue touchstone to form a ramp to the Star.
Special Challenge: Clear the stage in three touches.
To do so, you will not be able to collect the gems. Raise the blue touchstone and cross to the pink touchstone on a diagonal. Lower the blue touchstone, then shift the pink touchstone to form the ramp to the Star.
