Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- Episode 2-8. Spooky Spectors at Shadow Manor

Toadette finds herself in a large mansion. It's pretty dark here, so keep your headlamp on. Look behind you into the dark corner to find Blue Toad, who will give you a 1-up Mushroom. Once you drop down to the floor below, Boos will appear. There are some holes in the wall on the dark side of the mansion. Go through the left one and you'll find a ladder. Climb up it and walk to the left along a narrow path to the first gem. Once you get it, Peepas will appear and circle around you. Walk back towards the ladder, but drop down away from the wall a short distance. Walk towards the nearby ladder to the third floor and you'll find the second gem in an alcove. Go to the first floor so you can return to the second floor, then climb the ladder to the third floor. There's a gear at the top you can spin. Rotate the gear so that the third gem is on the opposite wall to you. Carefully walk across the narrow path to the third gem. When you get near where the paths cross, Big Boos will appear. Stay where you are and shine your light on them to defeat them. Walk to where the paths cross, then go left, then towards the Star. Drop down and avoid the Boos to get it.

Special Challenge: Collect the 1-up Mushroom.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -- 16. Bizarre Doors of Boo Mansion

Captain Toad finds himself on the walk up to Boo Mansion. It's a maze of doors. Near the front door is a Goomba. The plant to the right has the first gem. Some of the doors are part of touchstones. Move the touchstone above the front door, then go through the front door. Move the touchstone back, then cross the bridge, which drops partially to become a ramp. In the backyard, there are four doors. Move the upper right one in front of the second gem and go through the lower left door to reach it. Move the upper left one back, then go through the lower right door to land on the lower left door's touchstone. This will allow you to go over the fence. Boos will appear here. You can use your flashlight to defeat them. Move the top door's touchstone, then go through the door at ground level when the stack of Goombas with the third gem are near the wall. You'll drop down on them to defeat them and get the gem. If you walk around to the front of the house and go through the door at ground level, you can get a Mushroom from a plant. Move the touchstone door back, then go through the same door. You'll end up in a corridor to another door. The door will take you to the roof, where the Star is. Once you drop down from the door, two Big Boos will appear. Go through the door in the corner once the Big Boos approach you a little. The door will take you to a door behind them. Run to get the Star.

Special Challenge: Clear in four touches.
To do this, you'll move the first touchstone (over the front door) twice. Next, touch the upper left and lower left doors when you're in the area with the second gem. Everything is in place from there.

Super Paper Mario -- Chapter 2-4: The Basement Face-Off

The mysterious handmaid Mimi disappeared in a bizarre explosion... What exactly was her plan and why did she try to enslave Mario and friends? After the incident, Princess Peach noticed stairs going down. "Here we go!" she said. "I wonder if Merlee is down here?" thought our heroes as they traded worried glances... The two solemnly made their way down, knowing there was no other path to follow.

In Merlee's Basement, Tippi says that the Pure Heart is nearby, as she can feel the tremors more strongly. Someone starts speaking faintly in rhyme, thanking them for looking for her. A faded image of Merlee appears. She's glad to see them, as she's been waiting a long time for them. They can't meet right now as an evil one is pursuing her, so she's not safe. Merlee says the basement is like a maze. With her power fading, she says to trust nothing, be it foul or fair. The image disappears and Tippi wonders if that was really her and why they have to be so careful.

Go down the stairs and you'll find a Mushroom to the left in an item block. To the right are two doors. From this point forward, the basement is like a maze. The door on the left leads to Room 01. Check the signs in the middle of the room to check the number. Go through the upper left door, which leads to a room decorated like the rest of the mansion. Flip and you'll find a couple of flip blocks. Bring them into 2D, noting that there are two tiers of them. Go up to the second level and Merlee is there. She says she's like the sun to those whom fate brings her. She knew she would see them soon. Tippi asks her for the Pure Heart and Merlee says she'll gladly give it to them for 10 million Rubees, a bargain according to her. She asks them to sign on the dotted line. Refuse and she'll allow a small loan. Refuse again and she'll throw in a free gift: a Super Mega Ultra Shroom. Refuse and she'll offer Breadward, a Pixl made of oats and lard. Refuse one more time and she yells, saying none of them have a clue. This is there last shot. Refuse and Merlee's faded image appears, saying this Merlee's a fake. The fake Merlee says, "Mimimimimimimimimimimimimi!", then says there's no point in trying to fool them anymore. She turns into Mimi, saying the girl that they thought was a handmaid or Merlee was an imposter and a faithful servant of Count Bleck She's the master impersonator, Mimi. She wanted to settle things peacefully, but it's too bad that the heroes refused. She assumes her true form, her head crackling and spinning. Spider-like legs appear. Merlee says she's protected by a barrier, so attacks are useless. They must flee and find the real Merlee, who can use her magic to weaken her.

Go through the right door. Mimi will chase you, so if you stay in a room long enough, she'll appear, throwing Rubees. Going through the right door will lead you to Room 05, where you'll find Swoopers. On the right side, flip sideways with Slim and you'll drop down to a door. This door leads to Room 06, which has a Cursya. Flip to reach the top right door. This leads to Room 08, where there's an Ice Cherbil. Blow up the crack near the sign for a Shroom Shake. Go through the top right door to Room 07, which has a Boo. Blow up the crack in the upper right area and flip to go through it. There's a door in this tunnel, leading to Room 09. There are a couple of Shlurps here. Go through the top left door to an unnumbered room with an Atomic Boo. It has 10 HP and 2 attack. Use Boomer to defeat it. Use Tippi's power to reveal an invisible staircase in the middle of the room. Take them to the top right door.

This door leads to the basement's bathrooms. There's nothing of interest in the men's bathroom, other than some graffiti. In the women's bathroom, you'll find more graffiti and Merlee in the third stall from the left. A fly is buzzing around her. She says that she was too weak and Mimi too robust, so she hid the Pure Heart where Mimi would never look. She and the heroes should combine their powers to teach Mimi a lesson. Mimi doesn't think so, however. She appears, then transforms into Merlee. They both call each other fake and bump into each other. They ask the heroes to tell them apart, which starts up the 66th Annual "That's My Merlee" Show. The host says that the heroes get to ask five questions, then pick the real Merlee. Pick any questions you like: the answers don't matter. At the end, the fly starts buzzing around Merlee #1, the one hiding in the bathroom. Pick this one, and she'll says that no one could copy her. Mimi counters that she mimicked Merlee perfectly. She'll congratulate the heroes by tearing them apart. She assumes her true form and attacks. Merlee leaves the bathroom to cheer in safety.

Mimi has an unknown amount of HP and 1 attack power. Peach is good for this battle as she can hover and protect herself with her umbrella. Mimi will be throwing Rubees at you, as well as sending a wave of Rubees from the floor. Initially, you can't attack her while she is glowing. After a cheer from Merlee, you can start doing damage. Merlee's cheer is magical and destroys Mimi's invincibility barrier. Use Thoreau to pick up a Rubee and throw it at Mimi. This will stun her so you can jump on her. After a couple of jump attacks, a leg will fall off. She's finished when all of her legs have fallen off. Mimi says this is impossible and explodes, revealing her normal form. She says she's not beaten for good and the heroes won't be so lucky next time. She flips out of the mansion.

Merlee says they did a fine job. The tenants of the mansion guarded the Pure Heart for 1,500 years, waiting for the hero. Now, their duty is done and she's ecstatic. The Light Prognosticus says she and her ancestors waited by the Pure Heart, but there's something else not written in it. In another prophecy, it is written that a heart of chaos can only be beaten by four of mystery, united. Peach and Mario are the first two heroes and they must find the other two. The other two may be known to them. Merlee gives them the yellow Pure Heart.

End Of Chapter
Count Bleck's servant Mimi had laid a nasty trap for Mario and friends... But with the help of Merlee, faithful defender of the Pure Heart, the day was won. But who were the other two heroes mentioned by Merlee? With five Pure Hearts yet to be found, Mario knew this adventure had only begun...

Super Mario 3D World: Flower-6 -- Shiftier Boo Mansion

This ghost house is desaturated, in that most of the color has been drained away. This ghost house is a bit more complicated. There's a Big Boo to the left, and behind it, in front of the door, is the first Green Star. You'll have to be quick to get it, or use fireballs from the nearby Fire Flower to make it temporarily transparent. To the right, the path splits. Down the stairs is a fake Mystery Box. Up the stairs is a couch. Stand on it and it will take you to a fake 1-up and some clouds. The clouds lead to the second Green Star. Drop down to the door, near a fake 1-up.

The door leads outside to a flagpole. There's a trail of coins leading to it. Three Big Boos will appear. Go past the flagpole and through the door. Inside, take the couch up to a fake pipe. The couch up there will take you over the area with many Boos. There are coin rings along the way. It will stop over some 1-ups. The last one is real. Keep going to the left and you'll find the third Green Star near some Big Boos and the edge of the floor. Quickly grab it and go through the door. The door leads outside to a fake flagpole. Go past it and you'll find another fake flagpole. To the left of this fake flagpole, under the bridge, is a warp box to the real flagpole.

There are no stamps in World Flower.

Super Mario 3D World: Mushroom-3 -- Deep Black Jungle Drift

It's very dark in this level, making it hard to see. Grab a Light Box, which will be useful in dealing with the Peepas and Boos. Shine your light on the purple water so you can see when the raft appears. Climb up the first grate as a cat for the first Green Star. There are Big Boos ahead. After passing all of the grates, you'll come to an open area with many Boos. Defeat them, and get back on the raft. You'll see the second Green Star to the left. There are invisible clouds leading up to it. Soon, the raft will go down a waterfall. At the bottom of the waterfall are three Big Boos. Kill them all with the Light Box to make the warp box appear. Before you go through the warp box, climb up the wall for the third Green Star. Once you go through the warp box, go past the flagpole to find Captain Toad with stacks of coins. There's a horizontal grate in front of the flagpole. Use the invisible clouds on the side to reach it.

There are no stamps in World Mushroom.

Super Mario 3D World: Bowser-6 -- A Beam in the Dark

This level is a Ghost House that introduces the Light Box. You'll want Luigi for this level. Shine the light on Boos and ghosts for a long enough time to defeat them. Stand on the circular platforms on the floor to make it move. Shine the light to clear the path ahead of you. To the left is a Luigi switch with the stamp. Get back on the platform and it drops down when a giant Boo appears. You'll land in front of a mirror. The first Green Star appears in the mirror, so walk towards the screen to get it. Up ahead is another circular platform. Ride the platform and hit the POW Blocks for more light for a short time. It will also temporarily stop the Para Dry Bones. There's a Red Coin Ring ahead if you like. At the end of the ride is a door to the midpoint.

Go to the back wall and take the elevator up. This takes you to a hall of Bowser statues. The platform will quickly move forward. There's a gap in the statues on the right side, about halfway. Jump to the right to find a Mystery Box. It will take you to a room with six Boos. Kill all of them with the Light Box to get the second Green Star. Take the door behind you to reach the back wall. There are several doors here. Go through the right door, which takes you to the upper level. Take the middle right door to move forward. Once again you have to ride a platform, but it is broken into more of an hourglass shape. Do your best to survive all of the ghosts and Para Dry Bones without falling off. At the end is a giant Boo guarding the third Green Star. Either kill it with light or lead it away. Go through the door to the right. A platform will drop you right in front of the flagpole.

The stamp is of small Mario tripping and falling.

Super Mario 3D World: 5- Toad -- Captain Toad Plays Peek-a-Boo

Time for adventure! There are five more Green Stars to collect in this ghostly area. Go through the door to reach the other side of the fence. Touch the touch platform to raise it to the donut lifts to reach the first Green Star. Walk down the slope and go through the left door to reach the second Green Star. Take the top right door, which leads to the top door. There's no floor below, so you'll drop down. Walk around to the left and drop down. Boos will follow you. Touch the touch platform to move it out of the way, walk toward the two touch platforms. Drop down to the first one, then raise it to the second. Raise the second one, then cross the donut lifts to the touch platform that was previously in your way. Stand on it, then touch it to move it to the third Green Star. Stand on the touch platform again and let it move back into position. Go through the hallway to where the ghosts are circling the fourth Green Star. Get it and the Super Mushroom if you like. Walk up the purple ramp across the donut lifts. You will be chased by Big Boo. The fifth Green Star it at the end.

Super Mario 3D World: 3-3 -- Shifty Boo Mansion

It's time for the first Ghost House. You can see Big Boo outside, peering through the windows. There are lots of Boos here and the floor and furniture move. There are some moving triple item blocks. Use them to reach the triple item block above for a Fire Flower. Fireballs won't defeat the Boos, but they'll become temporarily transparent, allowing you to walk through them. Go up the stairs and you'll see a portrait of a Boo. Jump into the portrait, which has a Mystery Box behind it. It takes you to a rotating room with ghosts. Wait until the room rotates far enough that you can get the first Green Star. Keep going and you'll see a couch. Stand on it and it will float up to the stamp. At the end of the hallway is a door to the library.

The shelves of the bookcases move when you stand on them. In the lower left corner of the bookcase is the second Green Star. It is hidden behind one of the shelves. Stand on the shelf above it and they will slowly move out of the way. Go up the bookcase shelves to reach the midpoint. There is an invisible block on the back wall so you can reach the item block with another Fire Flower. Go to the right, then go toward the front wall (towards the screen). There are invisible clouds that lead to a 1-up. On solid ground, Big Boo will chase you up the moving steps. Go to the right and pass the pipe, which is fake. Go up the left stairs for a clock. To the right, there is a door near a gap. In the gap are invisible clouds with coins. The door takes you outside.

There are many ghosts out here moving around. The 1-up is fake. Go through the door to go back inside. The floor is moving to the left. There's a clock nearby if you ant to risk it. Keep going to the right and you'll find another couch. It will float to a fake pipe which contains the third Green Star. The door will take you outside again, but the floor is moving to the left. Two Big Boos will chase you, so run quickly. Go past the flagpole, as it is fake. The Big Boos will leave you alone and you'll soon come across the real flagpole.

The stamp is of a Boo.

Super Princess Peach: Bowser's Villa -- 8-8

The first area is dark. Blue Podoboos will appear and follow you. Lead them to torches. This will open the door to the far right.

In the next area, pound the ground to make the spring drop. Spring up, then run past the fire bars to the pipe.

The pipe leads to a rotating room with a Big Boo. Carefully jump across the gaps or fly to the pipe.

Be prepared to run when you go through the pipe. Boos will chase you over donut lifts, so use the Gloom vibe. This can be quite difficult. Level 10 of Toad Tote is just in front of the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Bowser's Villa -- 8-4

The first area is a rope course. Avoid the Podoboos and go through the pipe. The pipe leads to a Subrella course. There are fire bars, Blurps, and Torpedo Teds. Take the pipe on the right.

The pipe leads to an area where two purple claws will periodically appear. They'll surround Peach, then try to pin her. Jump or duck out of the way or you'll take damage. Go through the first pipe.

This leads to a room with Angry Boos and rotating blocks. The pipe in the lower left corner (only rotate the room to get coins) will take you to a room with lava.

Go past the Hammer Bros and drop under the ball and chains to find a Toad. The pipe leads to a door over the top of a room.

The door leads to a room with lava and donut lifts. Go up and over, then left, past a Hammer Bro, to a puzzle piece. The door is to the upper right. But before you go through there, backtrack to the room with the purple claws. Go through the pipe on the far right.

The pipe leads to a rotating room with an Angry Big Boo. Go through the pipe to the upper left.

This leads to a rope course with a Toad just above the pipe. The pipe at the end of the course leads to a hot-air balloon. It's the same room before the rom with the donut lifts. Now go through the upper right door.

The door leads to a room with three fire bars and the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Shriek Mansion -- 3-6

Break out your stylus for the first part of this boss level. Peach will free-fall to the sparkling circle below. There are Boos and Big Boos that will get in her way. Tap them repeatedly to make them go away and to get coins. The Boos may overwhelm you, so focus on the ones most likely to hit Peach. If a Boo hits her, you have to start over.

Once you get past the first stage, the Perry Block will tell you that Boos don't like light. Go through the pipe. This will take you to a room with four lanterns and a Toad in a bubble. Suddenly, the lanterns are extinguished and King Boo makes the Toad disappear. To hit him, make sure all four of the lanterns are lit. After the third hit, King Boo will start crying, which will extinguish lanterns as he follows you around. If you need to restore your Vibe Meter, pound the chandelier. Two more hits and he's finished. The Toad appears and dances with Peach.

After Peach and Perry set up camp, Perry has another dream. "Hrm? That dream again..." His grandpa says, "Oh, my! You'll catch a cold sleeping out here! Come on!" Perry thinks, "But why am I away from my grandpa? Where'd he go?! Huh? OH! YOU! I know you! Whoa... STOP!" Perry is turned into an umbrella and taken away. He's starting to remember what happened, but they have to keep going. They proceed to Fury Volcano.

Super Princess Peach: Shriek Mansion -- 3-5

This level starts out in a room with water at the bottom and giant springs. Spring up to the top, then drop down following the arrow of coins to a Toad. Go back up and go through the pipe. This leads to a room with Bob-ombs and Angry Boos. They'll move towards you when you face them, and leave you along when your back is to them. Climb up and go through the pipe on the left. This leads to a room with lanterns and donut lifts. Light the lanterns to open up a door below. The door takes you to the Toad below. Return to the room with the Angry Boos.

Take the higher pipe on the left to a room with a group of Boos chasing you. Go through the door at the end, dodging the Dry Bones, Lil' Sparkies, and Hotheads on the way. The next room has lots of donut lifts. Drop down and you'll find a couple of Angry Big Boos, a puzzle piece, and lots of doors. The ninth door from the left (third from the right) will take you to a Toad. The others will take you back to where the donut lifts in the room start. Cross them and go through the door on the other side.

This door leads to a dark room. Use your Rage Vibe to plow through the enemies and stone blocks. The pipe at the end will take you to a room with some unusual blocks. They will rotate the room 90 degrees with each hit. This will allow you to reach other areas of the room. You'll find your way to the pipe at the end. It will take you outside.

The Perry Block here will tell you to hold [R] or [L] while walking near a sleeping enemy so it won't wake up. You can either sneak past it or launch a surprise attack. There's a sleeping Fishing Lakitu nearby. Fire will get rid of it. The goal is just ahead.

Super Princess Peach: Shriek Mansion -- 3-4

This area of the level is very dark. You increase the area you can see by using the Rage Vibe. There are several large crystals to allow you to do this. Climb up the wooden platforms to find a Toad. Drop down and go through the pipe.

The pipe leads to a rope course. This will take you to the Toad under the door in the first area. Go through that door. This leads to three doors. Take the middle door, which leads to three more doors. Take the middle door, then the right one, then right, right, then left. This will take you to the top of the room. The pipe to the left will take you to a hazy area.

You can remove the haze with a cyclone. Platform through this room and cross the donut lifts to a pipe. This pipe takes you outside. Go past the Big Boos and the Happy Swoopers to a door. Platform up the disintegrating platforms and you'll find a puzzle piece past the stone blocks. Cross the next set of disintegrating platforms or fly to the right for a Toad. The goal is just ahead.

Super Princess Peach: Shriek Mansion -- 3-3

There are spikes on the ceiling here. Fly up to the lowest ledge, then jump up. Go up the right side first for a puzzle piece. On the left side are Lil' Sparkies circling the platforms. Leave them alone. Hop up the narrow platforms to the door. Through the door, you'll find Happy Swoopers. The easiest way to beat them is with fire. Go up the ladder for a heart and a crystal. Drop back down, then run and duck past the walls. Cross the gap using the purple platforms and you'll see some Bob-ombs. Jump up to the upper right corner and hit the ! Switch. This will allow you to reach the Toad nearby. Fly up to get it. Drop down and go through the pipe.

The pipe will take you outside with the Fishing Lakitu. Go through the first door you see. There are two crystals to the left. Collect them if you need, then drop down. You should land or pass a lantern. Light it. There are two more below it, each a little more to the right. Below the third door is a door that opens when you light the lanterns. This door leads to a Toad. Go back and drop to the door below. It will take you to the top door. Go through the top door again to go outside.

The door at the end of the outside path leads to a room with a caged Big Boo. Hit the gray ! Switch to unlock the cage. The Big Boo will chase you when your back is turned. Navigate the platforms until you reach the light. The Big Boo will lay down in the light and leave you alone. You can't fly up due to the little blue circles floating around the light. If you see them, do not try flying. They will gather around you and make you fall out of the sky. Stand on Big Boo to reach the pipe.

The pipe takes you outside where Hotheads and Lil' Sparkies circle the platforms. Jump carefully. Go through the first door you see. You'll be slowly chased by a pack of Boos with black bands around their eyes. You can't beat them, so run away. Dodge the Dry Bones and Koopas and jump over the pipes. You'll reach the Toad in front of the door. The door takes you to the door you just went through. Keep going to the right.

New Super Luigi U: Frosted Glacier- Ghost House -- Peek-a-Boo Ghost House

This is a tricky ghost house. When you start, the floor will disappear. Grab some coins on the way down. Go to the right and jump on a floating crate. Grab an Acorn from the item block. You'll approach a wall that will disappear when you get close. Ahead is a Boo ring with the second Star Coin. Boost over the Boo ring to get it. From the platform above the Boo ring, jump left and run until you drop down. This will take you to a hidden door. The door leads to the first Star Coin, which is high up, near the red goal. Boost to get the Star Coin. The red goal opens the path to Frosted Glacier- Fliprus.

To reach the regular goal, continue to the right from the second Star Coin. Wall jump up when you can to dodge Big Boo and get some items. There's another Boo ring ahead. Stand on a floating crate through the Boo ring to reach the third Star Coin. It's hidden in the platform surrounded by the Boo ring, and the only way to reach it is to jump from a crate when you pass through the platform. Stay on the crates and you'll see Luigi in a web. At the end is a door to the regular goal. This opens the path to the castle.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon -- Treacherous Mansion - E-4 Ambush Maneuver

Gadd routed the pixelator to the tiny camera in the Train Exhibit. Strong signals are still in the area and are not moving. We can pixelate there with the element of surprise, defeat King Boo, and save Mario.

Train Exhibit
We land in the train model and it's quiet. We can't cross the train tracks. There's a bunch of balloons on the track, as well as a train missing its engine. Restore the train engine and it moves towards the balloons and pops them. A bunch of Boos notice and conglomerate into Big Boo. It's somewhat like the Big Boo battle in Luigi's Mansion: we have to pop Big Boo into smaller Boos and defeat them. Big Boo will bounce around the inside of the train tracks or dive into the floor and move around. If he dives into the floor, try to lure him into running into the train engine's drill. If he bounces around, he'll eventually stop and let his tongue hang out. Pull it and aim him so he hits the drill. The train is constantly moving, so this is a little difficult. When you do, he'll burst into smaller balloons and a couple of hearts. At this point, the tops of the train cars will open. Grab a Boo by the tongue and aim it at the train cars. This will trap each Boo in a cage. The Boos will reform Big Boo after a short while, so be quick. It may take a while, but you must put each Boo in a cage. Gadd calls, saying that our plan to ambush King Boo was used against us. As there is no sign of Mario, Gadd will bring us back, after a victory dance, of course.

Clear Time: 7:36
Ghosts Captured: 0
Health Lost: 225
Treasure: 0
Bronze Rank

Gadd can't believe King Boo tricked us. He thinks King Boo staged the security image to lure us into the trap. The Boos in the train remained trapped until Gadd routed them to the Vault with the pixelator. Gadd wonders how King Boo escaped his portrait, but did mention selling it at a garage sale. Still, how he was released is still a mystery.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star -- 4-3 The Enigmansion

The Enigmansion is a large mansion in the snow. I wouldn't be surprised if we found Boos and Luigi here. It looks like Luigi's Mansion covered in snow. There's a Toad sitting outside on the steps. He is the steward of the estate. He's impressed with us making it up here and would like to invite us in, but cannot. A book with terrifying things sealed within was opened and the terrifying things escaped. They scared him out of the mansion. We get the Book of Sealing, where the terrifying things were kept. We must seal the terrifying things within the book and return it to the basement so we can get some royal treatment. Kersti thinks that such a seal breaking so easily may be the result of a Royal Sticker and thinks that stomping out terror inside a haunted mansion sounds fun. She should spend some time with Luigi when we finally catch up with him. Kersti's way more enthusiastic about exploring the mansion than Mario.

We venture inside and hear what I hope is the wind howling. There are a Save Block and a Heart Block in the far right corner. There are three doors on the first floor and a portrait of the master on the second floor. We can paperize and remove the portrait. The left door on the first floor is locked. The middle door is unlocked and leads to the dining room. There is a cake on the table. We approach the table and lightning flashes. The mansion foyer goes dark. A faint Boo wanders into the kitchen. Suddenly, there are many Boos flying around the table. The music from the Haunted Mansion in Ghostly Galaxy plays. A Boo bumps into Mario and freaks him out. The Boos disappear. Kersti thinks the Boos look more fun than terrifying. She says that they may be shy as they can hide really well. We have to find all of them and seal them away. I think there may be more than 50 this time.

There's a Scaredy Rat scurrying in the kitchen. In the kitchen, we pick up the Oven. We open the refrigerator and find a Boo. This starts a battle. They have 18 HP. After you defeat them, they will turn into a sheet of paper and go into the Book of Sealing. We can now pick up the Refrigerator.

We leave the room and find a Boo behind the stairs. In the room on the right, the furniture is floating around. There's something missing from the wall and it's on the top of the bookshelf. We try jumping from the stacked books to reach it, but we can't. We can read a tale of the Book of Sealing. A once-famous ghost-hunters single-handedly defeated a horde of ghosts and sealed them in a book. If the book is recklessly opened, the ghosts could be unleashed. Another book says winning the Battle Spin is easy if you press (A) with rhythmic timing. Coins are most common on the spinner, so matching coins has the greatest odds. There's a book about the Sticker Fest, where Six Divine Sticker Beings grant the wishes of the attendants. We can't do anything in here for now, so we go through the door in the back.

This leads to a long hallway. There's something sparkling in the back. Pass one of the windows and it blows open, leaving the Stapler on the floor. The shiny thing is a Shiny Hopslipper. There's a hallway to the left with a Scaredy Rat. They can steal stickers from you. One of the bookshelves describes the master of the mansion as having operated the ski lift in White Valley. The right door leads to an upside-down bookcase. It speaks of an Infinijump sticker, which may be stuck to the bookcase. Peel off the bookcase and you'll find it doesn't belong there. Place the bookcase in the hallway and get the Flashy Infinijump sticker. The door on the left leads to a small hallway with two doors. Peel off the back wall. This place is scrambled! Go through the door and peel off that back wall. The wall with the door goes here and the wall with the sticker goes in the room to the right. We go towards the screen in the room with the door to go outside. The item block has a Shiny POW Block.

We go back inside and through the door to the greenhouse. Hit the shelf for the Watering Can. There's a Boo in the greenhouse. We go up the long hallway in front of the door near the bookcase with the Infinijump. It's a large, dark room, with something sparkling in the picture on the left wall. Hit the wall to release the Mansion Safe scrap. We go through the door on the right. This brings us back into the foyer. Back in the room with the floating furniture, hop on the table while standing on the furniture below the picture frame with the sticker. This allows you to reach the candle in the corner. Hit it to turn off the lights and reveal the three Boos holding the furniture. They drop the furniture after battle so we can reach the scrap. We go through the long hallway to the back and go all the way down the hallway this time.

Go behind the staircase to find a couple of Scaredy Rats playing with a Boo. We have to battle all three of them. The stairs have stickers on them. At the top is a door drawing. The Secret Door leads to the other side of Decalburg. We're in the Sling-a-Thing area of town, next to the shop where the Toad sells Things. In the foyer, at the top of the stairs, we place the Mansion Door scrap where the Master Portrait was. This leads to an area overlooking the kitchen. Go to the middle of the room, then jump down to land on the table. You might be burned by the candles. Grab the Cake.

There are three doors at the end of the hallway: blue, purple, and red. The red door's mat has a Shiny Mushroom under it. The red door leads to a room with three Boo portraits. Check the portraits and five Boos come out, along with a disco ball. They then fight you and the disco continues.  The purple door leads to a bedroom. There's something missing on the wall and something's wiggling in the trash can. We knock over the trash can and Mario cautiously approaches the wiggling scrap. It's a crumpled Boo with 1 HP. Easiest battle ever. This is where the Master Portrait goes. The blue door leads to a room with a cabinet full of papers. These rooms have the same layout as the houses in Decalburg. Hop on the cabinet and hit the invisible block for a 10-Coin. There's a Boo hiding in the clock face. Opening the cabinet makes many Boos come out like the Toads did. Jump to start the battle with the Boo Stack, with 82 HP. Each Boo in the stack has 1 HP. Flower stickers are not effective. The Hopslipper is very effective. After beating them, we find something glowing on the cabinet door. It's the Big Bookcase.

We place the Big Bookcase in the room with the floating furniture. It slides over to reveal a hidden room. Before we go through, we place the Mansion Safe in the room where we found the bookcase with the Infinijump. Open it to reveal a Gold Boo, with 18 HP. It gives us several coins after battle. The bookcase leads to a room with a mop and Bowser tape. Peeling it reveals stairs to the basement. It's foggy down here. To the right is a room with large barrels. There's a stand in the middle. Kersti thinks the Book of Sealing goes here. It won't stay on the stand because we haven't sealed all the Boos. We've been all over the mansion, so there's only one place to look.

The steward has built himself a fire, but he still feels chills. Put out the fire with your hammer and a Boo appears behind him. Back in the mansion, in the master bedroom, there is a Boo hiding in the Master Portrait. Approach the portrait to start the battle. We go back to the room with the floating furniture and check out the bookcase. What appears is what Kersti calls Ancient Stickerish. It says, "PAPERABLESTICKERROBBLE DERRSTICKER STICKARONISTICK PAPERDAPERDOOPER STICKITYSTICKITYSTICKITY PAPEROOSKI PAPERDOODLE STICKERPAPERRAWK". It looks more like what the enemies wearing the Royal Stickers were saying. Kersti translates, "When the Royal Stickers are found and the five lights illuminate the wall... Only then shall the truth be revealed." I hope the truth is why there are 3D objects all over the place. From the foyer, go into the left door, then through the back door. One of the windows is slightly bent. Hit it to make it fall out. The Boo we could see from the window is outside. That's the last of them. We place the Book of Sealing on the stand and it floats, flashes, then rests on the stand. The lights come on.

Someone says, "Well done." It's Kamek again, praising our diligence. Guess who broke the seal. He says the book holds a lot of power, so he decides to unleash it. The Boos come out and form a large paper Boo. It's Big Boo, with 100 HP. We get to use two stickers from the Battle Spin. He pick up Mario and chew him up. The lights will go on, so you can't hit him. Bring the Squirt Gun sticker to put out the lights, and hit him as well. That and a few Shiny Hopslippers should finish him off easily.

The steward is thrilled that the ordeal is over and wants to meet us in the room to the left of the foyer. Everything is back in order. The steward invites us to sit down and tells us to feel at home. Check out the picture that was behind the curtain. It was painted by the steward who came before him. He gives it to us, so we now have the Forbear's Portrait. Now there's a comet piece outside the window. The path to 4-4 opens up.

Super Mario 3D Land: 4-4

It's time for a Ghost House! The ghostly waltz music from Super Mario Galaxy plays. There are Boos here, some that will appear from thin air. We approach the edge of the floor to make checked platforms appear. We hit the P-Switch to make coins appear that show us the way. We fell off.
Take 2- We hit the P-Switch and follow the coins to an orange Mystery Box. The first Star Coin is floating around a few ghosts. We hit a Boo and use a red ! block to reach the midpoint. We hit the blocks for a Starman and destroy the Boos for a Tanooki Suit. We walk to the lower right corner and run into a cutout pipe to make a green pipe appear. There is an optical illusion room with a clock and the second Star Coin. I jumped off the lower left corner and died.
Take 3- We get the Tanooki Suit and the second Star Coin. We go to the upper right corner to an orange Mystery Box. We take two lefts to reach the third Star Coin. Afterwards, we are followed by a giant Boo and we fell off.
Take 4- We get a Tanooki Suit and the last two Star Coins. We avoid the giant Boo and get a Starman to take him out at the end, near the purple door. We go out the door and get a 1-up at the flapole.

Big Boo Battle - Red Coins and Secret Star

This mission is unique to the Nintendo DS.
I started this mission as Mario, entering Big Boo's Haunt on a later mission. (Any mission but the first one will work.)
The first Red Coin is across from the entrance in the carousel. The next two are in the second room. It will take some time to get all of the Red Coins, as some of them will send you on the incorrect path. The next two are in the third room. As Mario, use the Power Flower to get the one floating high in the corner. Two more are in the fourth room. Pick up the Wario cap here. In the fifth room, the entrance to the battle, there is a black brick block with the 8th Red Coin. The Star will appear in the same room, nearby.
Star Get #90, 35 Coins, 6 Lives
I returned later to get the Secret Star. In the room with the entrance to the battle, you'll see a Star on the Touch Screen Map. Despite searching for it, it doesn't seem possible to reach. In the room with the Power Flower, there is a Luigi cap (if you're not Luigi). As Luigi, with the Vanish Cap, run through the rooms, long-jumping to the doors you need to go through. The Vanish Cap does not last long. Run across the fallaway bridge, or long-jump if need be, then jump into the Boo painting. There is a hidden room behind the painting wiht a secret Star.
Star Get #93, 0 Coins, 5 Lives
Just exit the course afterward.
The next Stars are the Red Coins and Secret Star in Chief Chilly Challenge.

Big Boo Battle - The Key to Luigi

This mission is unique to the Nintendo DS.
It's time to save Luigi! We have to be Mario for this mission. We go into Big Boo's Haunt and go up to the third floor using the Power Flower. Through the door we find the painting of Luigi. We jump inside and find ourselves on the carousel. We continuously hear Big Boo's laughter. A sign says "Big Boo's Haunt Eee hee hee... There are no exits. You may as well wander in here forever... Listen carefully. Can you hear me? If you find me, you're history. Eee hee hee..." There is a Red Coin in the carousel room. We will leave it alone for now, because we can't get all 8 at this point. There is a Red Coin mission in Goomboss Battle, but we can't them at this point either. There are four doors to choose from. If we choose correctly, we will see another area through the doorway and continue. If we choose incorrectly, we'll be sent back to the carousel to start over. In the carousel, take the door to the right. We walk into a gray room with four doors and a Mr. I. There are disappearing bridges to the center of the room and the other doors. We take the door to the left and find ourselves in another room with four doors. In the center is an item block, which we don't need right now. The floor tilts, so don't stand on it too long. We take the door on the right into a room with checkered platforms that move when we step on them. We get a 1-up on the way. We take the door on the left to continue. If you listen closely, the laughter seems to be coming from one side of the room, either the left or the right. We find ourselves in a gray room with a large dropaway bridge and three Boos. We run across it quickly, getting a 1-up in the process. At the end are a painting of Boo and more checkered platforms. We ride the checkered platforms to the top of the room, where there is a hole in the floor. We drop through to a room with a rug, checkered floor, a large mirror, and curtains. We can see Lakitu in the reflection. We approach the mirror and our reflection turns into Luigi! Big Boo, wearing a crown, appears beside us with a laugh. He says "Eee hee hee! I am Big Boo, the spookiest of all the spirits! I locked up the wimpy green mustache man. And I'll do the same to you! Eee hee hee! Since I'm a ghost, I can turn invisible in the mirror's reflection. You'll have to attack me from behind to defeat me. But you'll die of fright before that ever happens! And then you'll be one of us!" The battle starts. We take a hit from him, because he was invisible, but had a reflection in the mirror. We lined up the shot and ground-pounded him for the first hit. He fades into a blue flame and appears to us a little later, with no reflection. We easily get in the second hit. His reflection appears in the mirror and his shadow on our side. We get in the last hit and he vansihes, saying "Eee hee hee! You can never really kill a ghost! We always come back! See you again. Eee hee hee!" The key appears and our reflection turns back into Mario. The key is like the key we used to free Mario, but with Luigi's cap and an "L" in the head. We get the key and pose.
19 Coins, 6 Lives
Time to unlock the door to Luigi! We leave the courtyeard and go upstairs into the room with the locked doors. We approach the green door with the "L". We unlock the door, Mario walks in, a drum roll starts, and out flips Luigi, who flips his cap onto his head with a fanfare. We get a message: "You've rescued Luigi! Now he can pummel the enemies with panache! You'll see green caps everywhere. If you grab one in the course, you can turn into Luigi on the spot. As Luigi, you can run over water and slip through wire fences with agility." Welcome aboard, Luigi! You'll be a great addition to the team!
The next Star is Switch Star of the Bay.
