Freezeflame Galaxy - Conquering the Summit

We land on a ring of ice where the Ghostly Galaxy music plays. The ice is slippery, but we can gain effective control by shaking to skate. Should we desire, we can skate backwards with [Z] and execute triple axels on command with (A). We see a penguin, who says, "Hey, old man! Are you practicing how to skate too? Well, why don't we play a game? Can you catch me?" He starts sliding around the ring on his belly, saying, "How could one penguin move SO fast?" We stay toward the inner edge and skate to the underside when he does. While we were skating backwards, we caught him. He says, "Not bad, old man! With skating skills like that, you might have a chance. A small chance, maybe, but a chance!" A Launch Star appears, and with that ringing endorsement, we take off for the main ice planet.
We land at the top of the slide that leads to the base of the mountain. The ice version of the Freezeflame music plays. We hop over platforms bobbing in the icy water. As in Super Mario 64, if we stay in this water, we'll lose health. Over a large ice platoform is a ? Coin, which makes an Ice Flower appear a couple of platforms away. We can now safely cross the icy water. We get the Ice Flower and jump onto blue and orange water spouts to create temporary platforms. We hop up those above the water and go to the right to find more. We hop up these and find a Sling Star. We fly around the mountain and land on a ledge with a couple of snowmen with buckets for hats. There is a Fire Flower in a nearby crystal. We get it and a message: "You transformed into Fire Mario! Shake to shoot fireballs." The Fire Flower music is a slight variation on the Ice Flower music. We can now destroy the snowmen and the ice bats, which will freeze us on contact. We remove the snowman on the other side of the gap with a couple fireballs, making sure they bounce off the ledge we're standing on so they hit it. We climb up the pushing walls and take out the snowman on top for a Sling Star. (The Fire Flower will reappear where you found it in case you run out of power. We sling around the mountain and take out a giant snowman with fireballs (there's a Fire Flower nearby). We have to climb down the slope, dodging bats and boulders. I died twice from the boulders. I also died from an ice bat. We walked around, climbing a pushing wall and reaching a higher part of the summit. We used a Sling Star in a snowman to go higher, walking around a narrow path and dodging an ice bat. We wall-jumped in front of three stacked pushing walls to reach the summit and the Star.

We caught the penguin for the Launch Star, got the Ice Flower and went to the right for the Sling Star to reach the summit. We get the Fire Flower and the message: "You transformed into Fire Luigi! Shake to shoot fireballs." We take out bats and snowmen, sling around the mountain, destroy a giant snowman. I tried to backflip and wall-jump up a pushing wall, but died from a boulder.
Take 2- I backflipped and wall-jumped up to reach the higher snowman with the Sling Star. I wall-jumped up the pushing walls to the summit with the Star.
