New Super Mario Bros.: 2-6
This level starts out with you going over quicksand to a red pipe. This takes you to the sky, where you land on a long platform, which starts moving. This level is an automatic sidescroller. As we move along, Piranha Plants on other moving platforms will appear, and may land on your platform. If you have fireballs, take them out. The first Star Coin is past the green pipe. A new platform appears, moving in parallel with yours. You can switch to it at any time. The second Star Coin appears a while after, before you reach the giant Piranha Plant. After a while, the platforms will go off screen, so you'll have to use the platforms moving up and down. This is where you'll find the third Star Coin. At the end, there will be five Piranha Plants and some land. There's a pipe plugged up with a Piranha Plant. Nearby is a blue and yellow pump that we must jump on a few times to make the cork pop off from the pipe. We go through the pipe and ride one last platform to the flagpole.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii: 2-6 Replay -- Easy as Bread Sandwiches!
I get the first Star Coin this time and find a pipe above the swinging blocks. I get the 2nd Star Coin and see a Propeller Block. I reach the midgate and kill all of the Fire Chomps. I get the 3rd Star Coin and a 1-up from 8 red coins. I get a 1-up at the goal. Mushrooms appear in the gorge to allow passage to the castle. I skip the explosions, so I don't have to rescue Toad. Later, while doing the QSC, I found the red goal by bouncing off of a Fire Chomp near the end of the level and flying with the Propeller Suit into a red pipe overhead. It leads to the red flag goal which opens up a path to the cannon which blasts you to World 5.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii: 2-6 -- A Change of Scenery
On the map, this level is a mushroom in a canyon of quicksand. Is this some sort of oasis? It's not an oasis, but is it a break from the desert. There is a rotating block on a line path, with coins swinging above it to the music. I unfortunately miss the 1st Star Coin that was right above me. This level requires you to keep moving, because the block is constantly turning, trying to throw you off. It's kind of like some of the secret areas in Super Mario Sunshine. Past some Piranha Plants is the midpoint. I get a 100-coin 1-up, and then find myself face-to-face with a Fire Chomp. Fire Chomps appeared in New Super Mario Bros, so I know what they're about. They have a tail of fire, and use up one flame to spit at Mario. When they use all of them up, they explode. This is how I lost my Helishroom. I got it back from an 8 red coin ring, which I then used for another 1-up at the goal.
On the map, stones appear in the sand to mark the path to the castle and Star Shroom House. Right in front of both are areas that periodically have explosions. I'm a little worried to go near them, but I won't progress if I don't.
