Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 23: The Keeper of Zzzs

The bros have all of the Somnom Stones, allowing them to enter Pi'illo Temple. Go north twice from the tracks. Take the elevator to the temple's entrance. Past the Save Block is the temple. Heal and save. The area has a strong dream aura. Dreambert says this temple is their gateway to the Zeekeeper. There is something in the center of the temple that is preventing them from placing the bed. Hit it with the hammer and the temple will shake. The statue in the back crumbles, revealing Pi'illodium, a defense weapon created during the Pi'illo Kingdom era. It attacks.

Pi'illodium scans the bros, predicting a 120% chance of victory. It will send out many smaller Pi'illodium weapons into the background. It will shoot lasers at the bros, signaling which bro with pink rings on the ground. Jump to dodge. Pi'illodium will turn into a hammer, then count down until when it will attack. Counter with a hammer. It will also go into the background and volley the smaller weapons at the bros. Volley back with the hammer repeatedly. The remaining weapons will heal Pi'illodium. Pi'illodium will chase the bros, firing off weapons at the bros. Jump to dodge. Use Bros. Attacks on the wings. Once the wings are broken, it will fall to the ground, saying its chances of victory are slim. Its attack and defense are lower. Aim Slingsniper at its center to do critical damage throughout the fight. This is a difficult fight.

After the battle, Pi'illodium explodes and they set up the Ultibed. In the dream world, Bedsmith appears and floats away without noticing the bros. To the right, Bedsmith tells them there are in the inner reaches of Dreamy Somnom Wood, the most sacred area of the most sacred of dream worlds. Only those who sleep on the Ultibed can reach this place. The Zeekeeper is at the top of the tree. The tree is so tall, Bedsmith doesn't know how tall it is. He says it is easy to get lost and what looks like a dead end may not be an end and that there are many hidden paths.

Return to the left, go through the trees, and you'll see a pipe. It will take you to an area with a sign saying, "Look back and the path is lost." This means continue forward without turning back. The sign above it says, "Coins lead ever forward. Monsters point treasureward." Go to the right if you hear a buzzer for an item and a pipe returning you to the area with the signs. Follow the coins to more forward. Follow the monsters to reach treasure. The coin route will take you to an area to the right of the tree, which has an Attack Piece to the far right. Go left to reach the right side of the tree. Go through the pipe. Hit the orange ! Block to create a shortcut to the left side. This makes Bedsmith happy in his own special way, but he says he's joking and it's just a Pi'illo expression. Go to the right.

There are two Attack Pieces here we can't reach just yet. Go through the pipe on the right, then through the pipe on the left for an Attack Piece. Go through the pipe on the left from there, then drop down on the right pipe below. Go through it. This will take you to another part of the lower area to the right of the tree. Go right. There are Propeller Works here. Activate the Works, then push the crates to reach the ! Block. This will create platforms leading to the exit to the upper right. This leads to an area with a Red Coin Block. Activate the propellers, then hit the block. Ride the rising air currents to reach the Red Coins. Hit the ! Block that appears to make a platform appear. This allows you to reach an Attack Piece. Go left.

Use the tower and cone to reach items and coins. Use the Ball Hammer and ground pound to break the crates. Go to the lower left for an item and the lower right for an Attack Piece. Return, then go through the pipe on the bottom. Use the Tornado Work to clear away the leaves so you can see. There is an Attack Piece here. Hit the ! Block near the top so you can go farther to the left. Go left and through the pipe to reach another Attack Piece. Walk to the left to return to the tree. Hit the ! Block to make another shortcut. Go through the pipe in the tree, then go left. Use the Hookshot to reach the middle exit on the left. This leads to an Attack Piece.

There's a branch Work here. Use it to reach the exit on the left that's the second from the battle to reach an Attack Piece. Return and climb to the top for an Attack Piece and a ! Block that gives access to the pipe in the lower right corner. Take the pipe to an area with an Attack Piece. You can reach it by walking on the top ledge. This will unlock the Luiginary Attack Luiginary Typhoon. Press (B) to wind up and (A) to whip up the rope of Luiginoids to whip up a typhoon, then steer it with the Circle Pad into the enemies. Repeatedly press (B) to do extra damage. Go through the pipe on the left, then walk to the right and break the rock. Activate the propellers and climb up the walls. This will take you to a pipe on the right side.

There are clouds Mario can ride after activating the propellers. Grab coins as you cross the gap. If you fall, you'll land in the area just below. Go left to reach the pipe to this area again. On the other side of the gap is a pipe that will take you to the tree again. Go through the tree's pipe to reach Bedsmith. He says the bros are near the top of the tree, but must not let their guard down. He asks Dreambert for a reward for constructing the Ultibed. Dreambert freaks out and runs away. Hit the ! Block to lower the gate. Heal and save.

Activate the propellers to go to the upper left, walking on the trees. There's a rainbow-colored egg in the center. Hit it with the hammer. Light spills forth from it. Breaking the egg reveals the Zeekeeper in his colorful glory. He asks who disturbs his rest. He protects the Pi'illo Kingdom and will get rid of those who stand in his way. Dreambert tries to explain, but is blown away. Luigi starts cowering again. Touch the "L" and Luiginoids start swarming to protect the bros. The Zeekeeper finds this irritating. He tries to blow the Luiginoids away with his wings. The Luiginoids join forces to form giant Dreamy Luigi. The Zeekeeper chases Mario around, saying he is brave and nimble, but should give up. Just then, Dreamy Luigi drops down on his head.

The Zeekeeper accepts Luigi's challenge and flies off. Dreambert says to chase it. While chasing it, Luigi must duck or jump to dodge when the Zeekeeper swoops around. Dreambert says to grab the Zeekeeper and hold on. The Zeekeeper will drag Luigi, so slide down repeatedly to drag it down. Luigi will let go of a leg, so tap it when it's in range to grab again. After a while, Luigi will slam it into the ground. It will be dizzy, so attack now. You can do two attacks before it will take flight again, saying it underestimated Luigi. It also says it has yet to reveal its true strength. It will fly off and as Luigi chases it, it will cross dimensions. It will shoot energy beams at Luigi. Cross to the other side by tilting the 3DS to dodge. It will charge up for another attack that Luigi must dodge, then counter by ramming. The tilting can take a little while to get used to. After a couple of rounds of this, the dimension traveling will stop and they'll return to Dreamy Somnom Woods. It will summon an energy ball, and Luigi will throw tree stumps at it. Tap the energy ball to hit it, then do the same for the Zeekeeper. It will keep flying and toss bombs at Luigi. Touch the circles to hammer back the bombs. It will cross dimensions again, then will dive-bomb Luigi in Dreamy Somnom Woods. Some of its maneuvers will be more complex. Get his health low enough and use Finishing Bros.

The Zeekeeper says the bros fought well. He asks if things are going badly in the real world. Dreambert appears, which makes him change his tone completely. Dreambert says this is how the Zeekeeper really is. Mario explains what happened and the Zeekeeper is not thrilled that Antasma's up to no good again. He also says Bowser sounds like a nut job. Dreambert asks for his help, but he refuses, saying he's retired, old, and tired. He might be persuaded with a certain something. Dreambert thinks he means coins. He says if the bros can return to normal, Mario will give the Zeekeeper every coin he has. Since my current total is over 60,000, that's a pretty substantial amount. Mario silently disagrees. The Zeekeeper's considering it, but goes over the expenses: labor costs for dealing with a flying castle that needs a barrier smashed, a travel budget, hotel bill, complimentary robe, high-end meal, in-flight snacks, stipend for massages and leisure, and insurance. When he's done itemizing things out, it will cost approximately 80,000,000- that's 80 million- coins. Dreambert says this will be a piece of cake. I hope for his sake that Dreambert has a considerable amount of wealth in treasure stashed somewhere. Mario agrees to the price. The Zeekeeper's ready to imprison Antasma again and restore peace to Pi'illo Island. The Zeekeeper says to hop on his back and he'll waive the fee for the ride.

The Zeekeeper flies out of the portal. Starlow was picturing a more humble guardian. The Zeekeeper says he smells the foul stink of evil over the island. Dreambert asks him to blast the barrier, which the Zeekeeper says will take two seconds. He's going to check out the castle first. He'll wait for the bros at the woods' entrance.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 22: Master Quest

The buildings have assembled into a robot that chases Luigi throughout Dreamy Wakeport. Dreambert notices the sea in the background, saying Luigi should drive it into the sea, then attack it, much like Bowser's battle with the Tower of Yikk. Luigi notices he's not too far from the sea, either. Dreambert says to focus. An Excellent Hammer Uppercut will send it into the water. Dreambert says to hit it repeatedly while it's in the water. When it emerges, slide the stylus down quickly and repeatedly to damage it. When it rises out of the water, slide the stylus sideways to hit it away. It will rise out of the water and fly back on land. The robot will put on some armor. Dreambert mentions breaking it. An Excellent Jump will break it. The robot will temporarily split up and the pieces will circle the core with the nightmare chunk. Knock away the pieces with the hammer. The remaining pieces will hit Luigi. If you hit away all the pieces, you can hit the core. The robot will assemble buildings into a ball. Slide up to jump on it, then tilt the 3DS to attack. Hitting the robot with an Excellent Hammer Cut now will not send it into the water. Use two to send it into the water.

When its health is below half, it will say, "EARTH-A-WAKE!" and get full-body armor. Dreambert says it will take too long to break it off piece by piece, but another attack could destroy it at once. Drill Spin works nicely. It will say, "BAD-DAMAGE! DAMAGE-BAD! BAD-STACHES! MUST DEFEAT!" A wall of buildings will appear in front of Luigi. Use Hammer Chop on them. It will throw the remaining buildings at Luigi and use some to heal. Jump or duck to dodge. It will form a hammer and attack. Duck or hit it back. Other times, you'll have to hit the hammer back from the side or above. Finish it off with Finishing Bros. This is a difficult battle.

Defeating the robot will free the nightmare chunk. Bedsmith is delighted to be free. He's also still ready to fight Antasma. He's happy to see Dreambert, in his own special way. Dreambert explains the situation and says he needs his help. Bedsmith thinks that Dreambert means to destroy Antasma with raw artistic beauty. Dreambert clarifies that he wants Bedsmith to construct the Ultibed. With all the parts, Bedsmith will construct the Ultibed in his shop in Somnom Woods. After everyone leaves, Pi'illoper has no idea what happened, but is super excited to have been a part of it.

Dreambert says Somnom Woods is east of Mushrise Park. Warp to Mushrise Park's entrance, then go due east. Send Mini Mario to hit the switch to lower the drawbridge, then go east. Bounce up the walls, then go east. Somnom Woods is darker and quieter than Mushrise Park. You'll find Bedsmith here. He starts to open up access to his shop, but the switch he needs is too high. Step on the platforms and Side Drill into the screw to make the tree trunk move aside, revealing the path ahead and some enemies. Follow Bedsmith.

There are new enemies here called Beehosses. Don't jump on them. They'll spew out bees that will fly at or over the bros. Jump over them to dodge. Do not counter. Fire does critical damage. Go northeast. Bedsmith's shop is here. The bros hand over the parts and Bedsmith takes them into the shop and closes the door, saying he must work in absolute privacy. On the outside, the bros watch Bedsmith's silhouette, which alternates between working and dancing. When he's done, he says it was a success and hands over the Ultibed. Dreambert says they should go to the dream world to find the Zeekeeper. Bedsmith says that cannot be done here. They must find a place within the woods where dream power swells. Dreambert suggests the Pi'illo Temple, somewhere in the woods. Bedsmith says there are many traps guarding the temple and that he's rooting for the bros. Go east.

There are Boomerang Bros and Lakitus here. The Lakitus will signal with flags which bro to hit with a boomerang. Counter with the hammer. There's electrified purple water ahead. Jump from platform to platform to stay out of it. Feel free to Spin Jump over it. You'll need it to reach farther platforms. Break the rock at the top of some ruins to find a pillow. In the dream world, there's a new enemy called the Spritzbloom. It'll hop around Mario, then blow poison gas at him. Hit it with the hammer when it's right in front of Mario to counter and have it blow poison in the other direction. Pelicrumps are also in the dream world. They'll fly overhead, some with eggs. Hit the egg out of their talons. They'll also throw bombs at Mario, but may hold onto them too long. In the real world, hit the ! Block to lower a gate, then go east.

A purple creature in the next area tunnels underground and leaves to the east. There's the sound of rushing air periodically. Walk to the north and you'll find a fan, which is making the noise. Spin Jump into the air current to reach new areas. Side Drill through the tunnel of thorns and get an Attack Piece nearby. Break the rocks and go southeast. Side Drill through the thorns, then Spin Jump to reach another Attack Piece. To the south is a camera block. Go north through the path on the right.

Ahead is a pillow. Dreambert says it's a Pi'illo Master. The bros need to save the Pi'illo Master to enter the temple. Walk onto the ruins in the water, then Spin Jump east. Side Drill the rocks, then walk to the east side. Walk to the north side and Spin Jump twice to the west for an Attack Piece. Stand in front of the fan to reach the pillow. On the south side of the area is a pillow under a rock.

In the dream world, walk all the way to the left to find another Luiginary Work. It's a propeller. Spin Luigi's nose to activate the propeller. Have Mario approach a wall and he'll stick to it. Mario can now climb walls. Touch Luigi's nose to stop the propeller. Also use the wind to cross larger gaps with jumps. Use these techniques to reach the nightmare chunks. Once the Pi'illo Master has been saved, he gives the bros a Somnom Stone. He says there are other Pi'illo Masters to save. Go west from the top of the ruins.

Hit the ! Block to lower the gates. There’s a pillow near the south exit. In the real world, Bandits with Golden Eggs may appear in the background. Use a Taunt Ball to bring the gold egg onto the battlefield. It will give you a some money. Side Drill into a screw to open the path ahead. There’s an Attack Piece to the right. At the top of the ruins, something stirs in the plants growing there. Three purple creatures appear, asking who the bros are. Mario says they want to go deeper into the woods. Starlow says they're on a mission and they think the bros are there to steal the treasure, called Nom Pi'illo. They disappear, saying the bros will never have Nom Pi'illo. Dreambert says they are Nommons, creatures that have lived in the woods for ages. He doesn't know what they mean by "Nom Pi'illo". He says to move on. Step onto the panel in the back, which acts as an elevator.

To the left is a warp pipe to activate. There is a pillow to the right. This one is another Pi'illo Master. The bros get another Somnom Stone. They are the keys to the temple, and the bros will need lots of them. Ahead is a talking stone tablet. It says they must insert Somnom Stones to create paths that will let them into the temple ahead. Use the two Somnom Stones to reach paths to the left and right, one at a time. Once you've placed the stones, stand on the platform and it will move along the newly created track. To the first left are enemies called Eyepi'illos. They'll approach and fire lasers or hover over the bros' heads in circles. Counter both attacks with hammers. Nom Pi'illo is here, a Pi'illo Master petrified into a pillow. Use the tubes on the west side to reach the pillow. Take the Somnom Stone and get the Attack Piece in the northwestern corner. Return to the tablet and create a new path.

The first path on the right leads to more than one area. In the second area, there are two Nommons blocking the way. Dreambert appears and they call him "Nom Pi'illo". The Nommons call pillows and Pi'illos "Nom Pi'illo". They have a pillow with them. Dreambert asks for the pillow, which they will give him, but only after the bros play with them. The bros will have to jump through rings. Each time they land on a square, the number will count down from a predetermined number. They must go through all rings before the number reaches zero. The slates they'll stand on will break after two jumps. The bros also can't stomp on any Nommon on the field. The bros will have to clear three of these challenges. Once you beat the challenges, the Nommon will hand over the pillow and an Attack Piece. In the dream world, I found the Gold Beanie and finally defeated it. Luiginary Wall works well. You get a lot of coins, some gear and 4800 experience points. Push the crates while the fan is blowing so you can reach the nightmare chunks. The Pi'illo Master says the Zeekeeper once lived in these woods.

There's a gate puzzle to the second left. You'll have to move the diamond piece into place through the area that the X piece is in, then move the circle last. There are Skipdrill Rs in the dream world. It's difficult to see where things are in the dream world due to the thick trees. There's a giant Tornado Work to clear things out. This Pi'illo Master says Antasma was just a bat living on the island, but he somehow consumed a Pi'illo's nightmare and developed a taste for dark dreams. The bad dreams he ate transformed him. In the real world, Pi'illodactyl Rs may appear in the background. Slingsniper does critical damage. The third path on the left leads to an Attack Piece and a pillow that a Nommon keeps moving. Spin Jump against the fans to reach the Attack Piece. Stand on the nearby log to reach the ledge to the southwest exit. The pillow is there. This Pi'illo Master says all the other Pi'illo Masters have been saved. Go west into the cave for an Attack Piece. There's another Attack Piece to the third right. Have Mini Mario get it.

There are more Nommon here. They still say the bros won't get Nom Pi'illo. They treat the pillows like toys. They aren't Pi'illo Masters, but the bros will save them nonetheless. Starlow plays hardball, saying the bros won't play with the Nommon if they don't give them the pillows. They agree and it's the same game as before, but the challenges are much harder. Once you complete the challenges, they'll place the pillows on logs. You can play the game any time now.

Now that you have all the pieces, go to the temple. Here, you'll find the last Attack Piece, unlocking Jet-Board Bash, initiated by Mario. Press and hold (B) to paddle, then press (A) just before attacking the enemy. Hit the nearby switch to make all available tracks appear. Go north into the area in front of the temple.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 21: Wakeport Buildings Assemble!

The last part of the Ultibed is somewhere in Pi’illo Castle. Go to the northeast of the room with the tracks to the hidden ancient area of the castle. Ball Hop up and go north for some items. Go south of the warp pipe to find the camera block. Go to the Battle Ring. Dreambert says winning Battle Class 1 will give the bros the Zeekeeper’s Feathers, the last part of the Ultibed. You must defeat Grobot X in under six turns. Use Bros. Attacks. The prize includes 600 coins and the Zeekeeper’s Feathers. Dreambert says if the feathers tickle someone, they’ll fall asleep instantly. The sleep is so comfortable that many people never wake up. Now that they have all the pieces of the Ultibed, they must find the Bedsmith in Wakeport. Dreambert says the master bed crafter’s name is Bedsmith. Dreambert thinks he may be trapped in a nightmare chunk or in the last place they expect him to be. Warp to Wakeport.

After decrypting the pictures, go back to where Popple is in the ruins. Heal and save before you reach him. He says they've stolen some good loot and gained some experience, so they're his lackeys now. He still likes to team up. Together, they're going to deal with Wiggler. The bros refuse and Popple says they're only going to talk. They approach Wiggler, who says they can't just walk in here like that because he's growing a garden. Popple hides behind the bros saying they'll battle him. He calls him a moth, which makes Wiggler rage. The battle starts.

Popple attacks first, pulling the flower on Wiggler's head. Enraged, Wiggler slams the ground, creating shockwaves that will reach the bros at different times. Popple will fly off, then fall to the ground. Knock him into Wiggler with the hammer. Use Bros. Attacks. Wiggler will charge one bro, then come back for the other. Popple will cling to the second bro to be targeted, making it harder to jump, so jump early. Popple will stand on the battlefield. Attacking him will make him back off and stay behind the bros. Wiggler will chase the bros and Popple. He'll attack each bro, so jump to dodge. Also beware of Popple, who'll bump the bros out of his way and into Wiggler's path. After you defeat Wiggler, Popple will fight the bros so the treasure will be his alone. He'll approach a bro and try to steal their hammer. Counter with the hammer. If he's successful, he'll attack both bros with the hammer, then throw it away so the bro can retrieve it. He'll lay out a soccer ball, a brick block, and a coin, then kick each at the bros. Kicking the brick block will break it, revealing a soccer ball or coin. Hammer everything but the coin back at him.

After the battle, Popple's seeing stars and Wiggler wonders why they were mean to him. Popple comes to his senses and realizes they were fighting over a flower garden. Wiggler is insulted that Popple would say that about his flower friends and chases him away. Popple decides to leave Pi'illo Island. Starlow's relieved Popple's out of the picture and thinks the Pi'illo collector, Pi'illoper, whom Popple was trying to rob, may know about Bedsmith. Climb onto the column in the center, then Spin Jump to the left to reach an orange ! Block. This will allow you to reach this area more easily. Walk on top of the ruins to a set of rings. The signs says to keep moving after clearing a ring, as they will fall. The platforms that appear under the bros are brittle, so keep an eye out for the next ring. They will become normal after you reach the other side. Walk along the east wall and you'll see a pillow on a pool lounger where the wall is newer. Follow the east wall back into town. Walk into the house from the wall.

Inside, a Beanbean resident wearing a mask recognizes a smell. The smell is of Pi'illo stuff. This is Pi'illoper, the foremost expert on Pi'illo culture. Before the bros can see his artifacts, he wants to see theirs. He doesn't think he'll be impressed, until Mario pulls out the Pajamaja Rock Frame. The bros show off the parts of the Ultibed. The excitement is wearing him out. He says he hasn't been this excited since he found an old pillow. He will show them his collection and opens up the entrance on the first floor. Drop down to find the green pipe uncovered. Wander down the stairs, hitting item blocks on the way. His collection is very nice. Surprisingly, Dreambert hasn't appeared, but that would probably make Pi'illoper pass out from shock. Starlow says that he has stuff seen in Pi'illo Castle and none of what he has is what they're looking for. He's in disbelief. Fortunately, he hasn't shown the bros his ultra-rare pillow. It's different than the others the bros have encountered. Dreambert appears and knocks him away, saying this pillow is Bedsmith. If they free him, he'll assemble the Ultibed. Pi'illoper freaks out even more when he sees Dreambert. Pi'illoper says they can keep the pillow. Luigi takes a nap and Pi'illoper freaks out when Mario goes through the portal.

Dreambert says Bedsmith must be trapped in a nightmare chunk. He says there's only one nightmare chunk in this part of the dream world. Go to the right to find the nightmare chunk behind a gate. Dreambert doesn't have any suggestions, so just go to the lower left twice to find the Tornado Work. Use it to blow away the green platform and blow the red ones from the background so Mario can reach a new platform. There are Attack Pieces in this part of the dream world. One is in this area. Go left. There are more Attack Pieces here. Stay on the platforms while blowing them away and Mario will swim to the incoming platforms. To get to the Attack Piece under the arch, stand on the red platform in front of the green platform, in the gap that arches over. Blow the green platform forward and you'll drop down and you can reach it. Go left.

There are new enemies here. Cocoknight Rs are like Cocoknights. Krubbishes are robotic trash cans. They will eat Cocoknight Rs and spit them up. Counter with the hammer. Sometimes, they'll spew toxic gas. Take enough damage from toxic gas and Mario will shrink, rendering him unable to use Luiginary Attacks. Run around and jump to dodge. They malfunction and explode when they take enough damage. I found the Gold Beanie again, but it got away. There's an Attack Piece in the upper right corner. Return, then go to the upper right. Get the Attack Piece in the lower right corner, then go to the upper left. Use the gravity Work to reach an Attack Piece, then go to the upper right. This will bring you back to the previous area, but you can bounce on the umbrellas to reach the Attack Piece and upper right exit.

Go up and to the left to reach a switch that opens an umbrella. Get the Attack Piece and go right. Get the Attack Piece here. Go through the pipe in the upper right corner. Form the tower and go over the crates to reach the switch. Hit the bombs into the crates to uncover the pipes. The left pipe leads to the last Attack Piece. This unlocks the Luiginary Attack Luiginary Wall. Hit Luigi into enemies repeatedly, like a game of pinball. Move around with the Circle Pad to change Luigi's angle. The pipe on the right takes you to an area with lots of closed umbrellas. Go through the lower pipe on the left. There are switches here that will open the umbrellas in the previous area. Cross the spikes, using the Tornado Work to move platforms to and from the background. Do the same on the upper level, lining up platforms when changing them. The orange ! Blocks rotate the large green platforms. Return and bounce from the umbrellas to reach the higher pipe on the left.

This takes you to the room with the nightmare chunk. Cross the conveyor belt and you'll see Pi'illoper. He's excited that there's a Pi'illo in the nightmare chunk. The bros announce their presence and Pi'illoper says he likes to observe the nightmare chunk. He tells the bros about it, saying the Pi'illo dwelling within is a Pi'illo unlike any other. Mario asks how to retrieve it. Pi'illoper thinks hitting the two ! Blocks nearby would do that, but would also unleash a terrible guardian. All who have tried to get to the nightmare chunk failed. He leaves. Heal and save.

Hitting the right ! Block will drench Luigi with water, then a bucket drops on his head. A voice says, "WARNING. UNAUTHORIZED. EXIT NOW. OR ELSE!" Hit the other ! Block and a security alarm goes off. Pi'illoper says they've brought about doom and the guardian approaches. A voice says, "INTRUDERS. EXPEL. EXPEL. BAD MUSTACHES. ENGAGE WRATH!" Pi'illoper leaves. The nightmare chunk is locked down and the building starts moving. It rises up and flies around, saying, "SYNCHRO OPTIMIZED... BOOT TRANS-MODE 1..." Other buildings in the area rise up towards it and assembles into a giant robot. "EARTHWAKE SYNCHED! ERADICATOR ONLINE!" It chases the bros and Luigi cowers in fear. The "L" is shining again. Hold it down and Luiginoids will swarm to Dreamy Luigi. It's time for another giant Luigi battle.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 20: The Mattress of the Hinterlands

The bros obtained the Mushrise Tree Board from Boss Brickle and saved the remaining Pi’illos in Mushrise Park. Another part of the Ultibed is in the Dozing Sands. A Shelltop says that Britta has a new job that’s not going well. Go east of the Dreampoint. There’s a camera block here. Go east to find Britta. The Shelltops working for her are trying to break a rock wall with hammers and think it’s impossible to break through. She suggests going over the wall, then tells them to go work elsewhere. She doesn’t like the dead end they’ve hit and she senses treasure on the other side. She leaves to work elsewhere. Ball Hop over the wall.

There are Bandits in the area. On the field, they’ll throw smoke bombs so they can sneak up on the bros. They’ll run into the bros and steal coins. Jump to dodge or counter. They’ll also create a decoy bomb for the bros. Do not counter with the hammer until the actual Bandit is in front of you. Defeat them before they can run away. Any coins they stole will be returned upon defeat. In the northeast corner is a pillow. Go east. Activate the warp pipe. Jump on the ledge west of the tube and Side Drill into the tube. The tube will raise and lower. When you’re three levels higher, fire to reach the green pipe. Take the pipe underground.

There’s another elevating tube here. Use the second level to reach. Use the third level to reach the ledge that leads to the Save Block. There’s a pillow here as well. Save, then go east. Starlow notices a shiny rock ahead. It’s a stalactite of a mysterious color. Dreambert says it’s a rare mineral called Dozing Ore. Water leaks into the ore and is distilled. The drops that leak out are called Dozing Drops. When the Dozing Drops solidify, they become the Dozing Mattress, a part of the Ultibed. This means it’s likely below the stalactite. Either drop down or take the pipe to the lower level of the area. There’s a new type of tube here. Use (B) repeatedly to elevate the tube to the correct level and keep it there when the timer runs out. It will fire when the timer runs out.

Below the stalactite, there’s a Dreampoint. There’s a log underneath the Stalactite that doesn’t look like a mattress. Dreambert says it must be around here somewhere. Mario notices it’s a Dreampoint and Starlow says something may be off in the dream world. In the dream world, Dozing Drops are dripping down. The ground is far below where Mario lands, so he ends up stuck in the sand. The bros look up to where the Dozing Drops drip and see the Dozing Mattress. That was easy. Too easy. But the portal’s way out of reach. Go down the pipe.

Here, I found the Gold Beanie. It will repeatedly ram Mario. Counter with the hammer. Do not use Luiginary Attacks, as they have no effect. The Gold Beanie will chase Mario, along with other Beanies. It will hide behind Beanies as they rush towards Mario. Try to stop the Beanie the Gold Beanie is hiding behind. It will run around in circles to attack Mario. Jump to dodge or counter. Beware when it trips on a rock, as that will adjust the timing needed to dodge and counter. Jumping is the best attack. This is a strong enemy and the battle will take a while. After several rounds, it will run away, so make every attack and counter count.

Ahead is a gravity Luiginary Work. Have Mario walk on the ceiling to reach the pipe. Go through the east pipe. Hit the Red Coin Block and walk on the ceiling to get the Red Coins. Collecting all eight will make an orange ! Block appear. This will make a pipe accessible. The pipe will take you higher in the previous area, near a pipe on the left. This pipe will return you to the portal.

The bros explain that they found the mattress and that the Dozing Drops petrified into the mattress in the dream world. Now, there’s only one more piece of the Ultibed to find. Before we move on, there are two more Pi’illos to save here. From the Dreampoint at the top of the sand flow, go south three times, then east. The pillow is to the east. From there, go west twice, then south. The pillow is to the southwest. Check in with Eldream, as we now have 38 Pi’illos. He gives the bros POW Gloves DX. His next gift is for when the bros save 52 Pi’illos.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 19: Mushrise Manual Labor Board

Mario and Luigi have retrieved the Driftwood Jellyfish Sheets from the Fly Guy Rs after sneaking up on them while Dreambert and Starlow created a diversion. There are three more parts of the Ultibed to collect, so let's go to Mushrise Park, which is close by. There are only a few areas the bros haven't visited yet. Go south twice from the park entrance. Boss Brickle is pacing around, wondering what to do. He decides to ask the bros, but doesn't know where they are. Approach him. He wants the bros to help him, but they're looking for the Mushrise Tree Board. He knows where it is, but tell them only once they help him. The bros agree and he says he wants them to clear rocks. He says his staff wasn't equipped to handle the monsters that showed up when the castle in the sky appeared. He shows them on the map where the rocks are. He recommends starting on the south end. The bros should talk to him when they're done.

Go south and try to go east. Some Brocks say they've cleared the tree that blocked the path, but there are monsters where they should clear rocks. The bros explain they're there to clear the rocks and the Brocks leave. There are 35 rocks to clear in total. In this area, there are Fly Guy Rs. There's a rotating tube in the center of the area. Stand on the circle on the ledge to the south, then Side Drill into the tube. Fire with (B) at the rocks to destroy them. This can be used to destroy rocks you can't reach with the tube. On the north side are some cylindrical ledges. The bridge on one of them leads to a pillow. On the map, you can see how many rocks left to clear in that area. Move on when you finish.
From here, go west, north twice, then east. Talk to the Brock near the bridge to reach the rocks. There are three rocks you can't clear immediately, so go south.

Here, there's a complicated system of tubes for destroying rock. You can reach the tubes from the south. The tube system is a little tricky, so make sure everything is lined up for when you want to transfer tubes. Use the hammer platform to break the rocks to the north. Return using the hammer platform. When you're done destroying rocks, return to Boss Brickle. Follow him towards the Maintenance Hut. Follow him to the south from there. This is where they keep the Mushrise Tree Board, or so Boss Brickle says. He doesn't know for sure. He found it while tilling the soil when the park was still a muddy field. Dreambert confirms its identity. Dreambert mentions that the Mushrise Tree grows in this area, but the board is the only thing remaining when the tree decays.

There's a camera block two areas south of the entrance. There's one more pillow in the park. Go east of the camera block to find it.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 18: Mario's Devious Plan

The bros learned a new move called the Ball Hop that allows them to jump higher. They used this new move to reach the first part of the Ultibed, the Pajamaja Rock Frame, found on Mount Pajamaja. They also rescued the remaining two Pi'illos on the mountain. After making a quick detour to the Blimport to pick up a picture and from a camera block, the bros continue to look for other Zee Parts of the Ultibed. Since they're already in Wakeport to decrypt the image, the bros check out the tour center area, where the next Zee Part of the Ultibed is supposed to be.

Starlow notices Popple's in the area as well. He says he found something: the secret to the Pi'illoper's house. The second floor entrance is hidden in a strange way, in plain sight. He's fine that the bros know, which won't stop him. He's going to leave as soon as he gets the loot. He leaves. Starlow thinks a Pi'illo collector lives in the house in question. Go up on the wall near the tour center and bounce up the wall. Walk to the north along the wall to reach a new area. It's full of ruins and no new development. Popple's hiding behind a pillar. He sees something else wandering around. It's a Wiggler, who likes traveling, but not crowds. He likes gardening and wants to start one here. Popple thinks Wiggler is on security patrol, hired by the collector.

Walk down the wall and you'll find Viruses. You'll also find Hermite Crab Rs. On the left, you'll find a pillow. Approach Wiggler and Popple freaks out. He tells them not to go near Wiggler, until he recognizes them as the two who keep getting in his way. He then thinks they're thieves. He thinks he can use the bros to get rid of Wiggler for him, then he'll steal the treasure. He offers to team up with the bros. Before they can get into the house, they need to get rid of Wiggler. He tells them to get more loot and experience. Let's try to find loot elsewhere.

Warp to Driftwood Shore Beach, then go west to where the Mole Hunt game is. Check out the door to the north. The bros and Starlow can't figure out how to open it, so they decide to ask around. Use the warp pipe to reach Broque Madame quickly. There's something she wants to show them. It's a stone she found on the beach. The stone has Pi'illo characters on it. Dreambert reads it and says pirates once sailed the seas in this region. The stone contains information on the pirates' treasure. Starlow suggests it may be a part of the Ultibed. It is located in a hidden cave on the beach. There's a code to open the cave. Broque Madame lets the bros keep the old lithograph. There is one pillow on a rock east of Broque Madame’s shop. Warp back to the Mole Hunt game. There's more Pi'illo text on the arch, saying, "Utter the code if you wish to enter." Dreambert says the code: Pi'illo willow armadillo, but nothing happens. Then, the rings in the door start spinning until the Zeekeeper panels line up, then lower to reveal an entryway. Someone notices that they've entered the cave and that they're treasure hunting. Others decide to follow them.

Inside the cave, walk to the west. Go to the northeast, smashing the rocks. Send Mini Mario past the hole and to the west to hit a switch. This lowers the drawbridge. Cross the drawbridge and go west. A sign says that if one passes through the rings ahead as a ball, they will get all the treasure. You must bounce through them in a certain order. Doing so will only allow the bros to cross the gap for now. Walk to the west, where there are more rings. This will take you to the other side of the breakable rock. Heal and save. In a clam shell are the Driftwood Jellyfish Sheets. A voice interrupts the party, saying the bros led them right to the treasure. The Fly Guys take the sheets and fly off. Go east to follow them. There's a pillow here in the cave. Spin Jump from the nearby high rock on the left. The Fly Guys fly farther east. Exit the cave to find the Mole Hunt Shelltop face down in the sand. The Fly Guys knocked him over. He thinks he can make more money off the bros because they want information on which way they went. He'll tell them if they can win the Mole Hunt game. He's finished tweaking the game to make it a little harder.

The Mole Hunt game's price hasn't changed (10 coins), so playing it isn't a bad idea. The score you need is 250 in a minute . He tells them he didn't see which way they went because his head was in the sand. He did hear them say something about catching a flight, so they may be at a blimport. If you keep playing, from here on out, he'll keep track of the bros' scores and award prizes for good scores (300+). Warp to the Pi'illo Castle lobby and go west from the castle. They'll find the Fly Guys before they reach the blimport. The Fly Guys think they'll get away with it. It seems they work for Bowser. The bros want to fight them, but they'll need a plan to get the sheets without them being damaged. Mario comes up with a plan that Dreambert calls devious. The bros sneak up behind the Fly Guys while Starlow and Dreambert create a diversion. They start a rumor of Bowser having a birthmark of a certain shape somewhere. The bros successfully retrieve the sheets just before the Fly Guys notice. They call the bros thieves. Of course, they're going to battle for them.

They are Fly Guy Rs. They have the same attacks as Fly Guys, but are faster and stronger. They battle alongside Goomba Rs. Slingsniper works well. After the battle, Starlow and Dreambert are thankful that they have the sheets. Starlow thinks the sheets look soft, considering they're made of jellyfish. Dreambert says to ignore that fact, as the thread count is off the charts.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 17: Bouncing on the Bed

The first part of the Ultibed, the Pajamaja Rock Frame, is somewhere on Mount Pajamaja. Use the warp pipe to reach the base. A Shelltop greets the bros, saying there's a new tour for the mountain. The guides are the Massif Bros and it's only for the brave. The tour guides are waiting at the midpoint of the climb. The Shelltop says the tour stinks, though. Keep going north until you reach the blue Shelltop in the designated area. He says the Massif Bros are up ahead and that the footing is unpredictable. The Shelltop leaves. The Massif Bros are pleased to see the bros here for the Massif-Vert Pajamaja 2: Beef Steak Beef Steak Treasure Tour. The word "treasure" piques the bros' curiosity. The Massif Bros don't know where the ultimate treasure is, but they've heard the rumor. They walk off, saying the tour is full. Popple appears, saying there's loot on the mountain, but he's not the climbing type. The Massif Bros won't bring him along. As revenge, he's going to a house in Wakeport. After Popple leaves, Li'l  Massif announces the start of the tour. Follow them east.

The ledge ahead is too high to jump over. The Massif Bros teach the bros a new technique called the Ball Hop. The bros roll into a ball with [R] three times, then either (A) or (B), both of which will work. Once in ball form, use the Circle Pad to move. Press (A) or (B) to return to normal. Ball Hop up and over the spikes (regular jumping works with the spikes), then up the small platforms. Meet them up ahead. They're impressed that the bros mastered the move so quickly. Follow them to the north.

The Massif Bros are approaching the snowy summit, on the east side. There are new enemies here, called Viruses. They will change color in the order yellow-red-blue-yellow. Hit them to make them change color. If other Viruses nearby are the same color, they will be defeated as well as the one you just struck. Jumping will make them change colors twice, hammers only once, so be strategic. They'll parade around the bros a couple of times. Smack each one with a hammer to make them pile up. Try to make sure Viruses of the same color end up next to each other, if you can. They'll also walk towards the bros. Jump on them to dodge or counter. Catch up to the Massif Bros, then go east.

In this area, you'll find Monolift Rs, similar to the Monolifts, but faster and stronger. Keep climbing and you'll find a warp pipe. Activate it. To the east, the sign says to be careful, as it's a long way back up. The walkways are narrow, so proceed slowly and cautiously. The drop's not that far, only two areas back. Be very precise when steering Spin Jumps. There's an item block with lots of coins, a piece of gear, and a bean over here. If you collect everything there, save.

Return to the previous area, then Ball Hop to the north to find the Massif Bros. They're having a difficult time solving a puzzle to open the door ahead. They must jump through a ring without touching it. They offer to let the bros keep the treasure if they can solve the puzzle. Use the Ball Hop to jump into the ring, and the other rings that appear after it. The door will glow, so Ball Hop into the circular area in the door to open it. There's a dark corridor ahead. To reward the bros, Big Massif gives the bros 10 Attack Pieces at once, unlocking the Bros. Attack Slingsniper, initiated by Luigi. When Luigi is in the slingshot, hold the Circle Pad back, then hold (B) to bring up the crosshairs. Aim by tilting the 3DS, then release (B) to fire. Aim quickly and fire.

Follow the Massif Bros past the door. It's a dark cave, like the area under Mushrise Park. The Massif Bros are going to do some research in the areas, as they've never been to this part of the mountain. Go to the back, then Ball Hop up, and Spin Jump across. At the top, the mountain's treasure, the Pajamaja Rock Frame, basks in the glow of a Dreampoint. The Massif Bros are impressed the legendary frame exists. They have reached their pinnacle in mountain climbing and being tour guides. Starlow wants to take the frame and leave, but Dreambert says it's petrified by a nightmare chunk. Dreambert says sleeping on it (and going into the dream world to smash the nightmare chunk) will cleanse it.

Inside the dream world, go to the left. The nightmare chunk is below, but it's huge and inaccessible. Go to the lower left. Hit the ! Block and you'll have 30 seconds to reach the one above you, after crossing slippery ground with fists punching at you. Jump over the fists, one bro at a time, to move quickly. This may take a few tries. Hitting the other ! Block will open the path to the upper right, back to the nightmare chunk. A constellation is here. Use the Ball Hammer to break the nightmare chunk. Return to the real world. The Pajamaja Rock Frame has been restored. Dreambert explains the nightmare chunks flew everywhere when Antasma broke the Dark Stone and one must have landed on the frame. The bros leave the Massif Bros. While we're here, we can save the last two Pi'illos in the area. There's one in the area of the shop. The second one is on a gray platform to the north, then west of the shop. There's an unexplored area to the north of where the bros jumped off the cliff.

The area has a door similar to the one to the Pajamaja Rock Frame. Open it the same way. There's an item block with lots of coins and a piece of gear. Take the warp pipe at the base to where you want to go next.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 16: Return to the Depths

The bros have returned to the real world after finding out that Peach has already been kidnapped and the one they've been dealing with is a fake. Broque Madame informed them that the proprietor of Pi'illo Island, Dr. Snoozemore, has returned, so they return to Pi'illo Castle. Broque Monsieur tells the bros that his promotional tour has ended and that he is in the underground collection room. Go south from the warp pipe, down the stairs, and through the doorway at the bottom.

Dr. Snoozemore is here and welcomes the bros. He falls asleep from time to time. Dreambert says the island is in chaos. Snoozemore is amazed to see a Pi'illo. He receives an explanation and understands. They want to infiltrate Neo Bowser Castle and take down Antasma, but can't right now. Snoozemore mentions the Zeekeeper. He says the Zeekeeper lived in harmony with the Pi'illos and protected the kingdom from danger. Snoozemore says to find the Zeekeeper somewhere in the dream world and convince him to help. Dreambert says the Zeekeeper possesses a beam that could shatter the castle's barrier. Snoozemore asks if Dreambert has seen anything Zeekeeper-related in the dream world. Dreambert mentions seeing a strange statue of the Zeekeeper in Dreamy Pi'illo Castle. It might have a clue. Luigi takes a nap and Mario enters the dream world.

Dreambert mentions seeing a Zeekeeper statue behind the Pi'illo symbol door. He opens the door for the bros. There's a light coming out of the floor, like the light that leads to Dream's Deep. Follow the light back into Dream's Deep. This part of Dream's Deep has a Zeekeeper statue. Dreambert learned here how to summon the Zeekeeper long ago. He says it's not easy to call him and he doesn't remember how. He says to look around for clues.

On the right wall is a switch. Hitting it makes one of the circles on the Zeekeeper light up. Follow the dotted lines to either the left or right. To the right are Dark Blocks, which are enemies. Some may transform before you hit them. Hit them from above if you can. In battle, they will hover over Mario. Hit them from below to count down from a certain number. They move around, making this difficult. Once they count down to zero, they change appearance. If they don't count down to zero, they'll transform and attack. They'll also fly overhead with spikes and brick blocks. Try to hit them or they'll transform. If they change appearance and you hit them as part of your attack, they'll turn into item blocks and give you something. They can transform back into Dark Blocks if they are not defeated quickly enough.

There's a constellation Luiginary Work to the right. Dreambert did not think one would appear and doesn't think there's a lot of room to maneuver. Dreamy Luigi says his mind has opened to another shape. Send him into the Work, then press [R] twice to make the Luiginoids form a ball. Use the Circle Pad to roll around. Build up enough speed while going to the left to reach new heights. Roll to the right. Roll around and you'll eventually reach a dead end. A Luiginoid says they can form a chain to grab onto stuff, like the loop floating around. Press (B) to make a chain of Luiginoids pop out and aim, then (B) again to fire. If you attack to something and want to let go, press (A). This new move is called the Hookshot. Grab onto the loop to the upper right that's on a track. The loop will be target when the bros are aimed correctly. It will take you up to a higher part. Roll to the right, off the ledge, and drop down. Roll to the left, remove Luigi from the Work, go up the stairs and you'll find another switch. This makes another circle on the Zeekeeper light up. Go to the lower left.

Walk to the left and the area will wrap around to the right, but a little higher than before. Walk to the left for a coin, then walk back right to wrap up even higher. Walk to the left to reach the Work. There are wheels overhead to Hookshot to, allowing you to climb up. Wait for the right wheel to be target to Hookshot to it. Go to the left twice. Walk over the rocks, then drop down between them. Form the ball and the bros get an idea to have Mario swing the ball around like an Olympic hammer. This breaks the rocks. In ball form, just press (A). Pressing (A) again will make Mario throw the ball and it will come back. You can aim with the Circle Pad. Dreambert calls is the Ball Hammer. Return to the right. Swing the Ball Hammer at the lower set of rocks without throwing it to destroy them all as they fall. Hookshot to the loop. Destroy the rocks at the top to reach the switch. Now that all three circles have lit up, go right to return to the Zeekeeper statue.

In the light, symbols appear. Dreambert says they're Pi'illo characters. They say, "All those who seek the Zeekeeper's powe, you must make the Ultibed. It is constructed of five parts. The Pajamaja Rock Frame... It rests on Mount Pajamaja. The Dozing Mattresss... sleeps in Dozing Sands. The Mushrise Tree Board... rises in Mushrise Fields. Driftwood Jellyfish Sheets... drift on Driftwood Shore. The Zeekeeper's Feathers... An heirloom of Pi'illo Castle. All five parts must be assembled by a Bedsmith. The Bedsmiths will gather on Wake Isle. Find the five parts and give them to a Bedsmith. Only then can the Ultibed be completed." And you thought "making a bed" entailed tidily arranging pillows and sheets. Dreambert mentions some of the names may have changed slightly but refer to the same location. Something drops down. It's a pamphlet of what Dreambert just translated. He says if Luigi sleeps on the Ultibed, they should be able to enter the dream world where the Zeekeeper is. The manual can be found in the menu under "Guide". It suggests the bros go to Mount Pajamaja first.

Exit Dream's Deep and Broque Monsieur calls to someone to wait. A Gold Beanie runs past the bros through the door. Broque Monsieur drops in, saying that was the rarest of monsters. He says there's a nice prize for beating it. Dreambert says it only exists in dreams and those who defeat it reap great rewards. Maybe it only appears in dreams on Pi'illo Island. It flees the moment it is seen. The bros accept the challenge, but Dreambert reminds them their priority is the Ultibed. If they find one on the way, they can battle it. Return to the real world. Dreambert brings Starlow and Snoozemore up to speed. While you're here, you can explore new areas of the castle from the room where the moving platform into the depths of the castle is. One of the rooms has a wrestling ring in it. A Brock outside says there's a rumor of a place where one can fall asleep and battle champions. Dreambert says this place hasn't changed. He says it's the Battle Ring, a Dreampoint where you can dream about fighting foes you've already encountered that are even stronger. Prizes are awarded for victory. When you're ready, head for Mount Pajamaja. If you're traveling by warp pipe, select the base of the mountain, as we don't know where the Rock Frame is.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 15: Expansion Packs

Seadric used a Dream Egg to expand Dreamy Driftwood Shores. Cross over into the new expansion, then go to the right. The gravity Luiginary Work is here. Use it to reach the pipe on the ceiling and go through it. There are Piranha Plants here. They'll spew seeds to create Nippers, then spew a fireball at the Nippers, who'll juggle it, then send it to Mario. Counter with a hammer. The Nippers may also fire their own fireballs. The Piranha Plants will fire off a fireball and a Fly Guy in quick succession. Jump over the fireball and stand still for the Fly Guy. The Nippers will disappear when the Piranha Plant that created them is defeated. Walk all the way to the right for an Attack Piece. To get it, go onto the ceiling so that you are directly over an item block, but not the Attack Piece block. Flip gravity so that Mario falls towards the floor and get it. Go through the left pipe. There are platforms that look like umbrellas here. Use the left one to reach the Attack Piece high on the left. Use the right one to reach the maze above it, which has another Attack Piece. Return and go through the right pipe.

There are new enemies called Bloopurns. They are jars that contain Bloopers and release Mushrooms and Spinies. When they take enough damage, they'll release Bloopers. Sometimes you'll counter with a hammer, other times with jumping if they don't fly over Mario. Go to the right and hit the orange ! Block to reach the lower pipe on the left. Above the orange ! Block is an Attack Piece. Go through the lower pipe on the left. They'll find a gravity Luiginary Work and a maze with Pi'illo symbols. Dreambert thinks they'll have to use gravity to bring the symbols together. Use gravity to send the symbol to the right, up, right, up, left, down, right, then down. The symbols are united and the maze lowers to reveal a pipe.

Through the pipe is a purple pipe with Broque Madame's symbol on it. Someone calls to the bros from the left. Going through the purple pipe will lead to a ! Block that removes a barrier between the pipe and Broque Madame's shop. Return and walk to the left. Seadric appears. He asks if the bros brought the second Dream Egg and enjoyed the loot. Mario says there are monsters in this area, which Seadric says there shouldn't be. He says that something evil must have lured the monsters here. Considering most of the monsters are familiar to the bros, it's probably a safe bet as to who this is. Seadric says something bad got in the dream world and they need to hide Peach deeper in the dream world. Seadric expands the dream world further, then goes ahead to leave some loot. Peach appears, saying it's sweet that Mario expanded the dream world for her, while Dreamy Luigi gets no such compliment.

Cross over into the new expansion. Go through the pipe on the left. Use the gravity Work to hit the orange ! Blocks. Grab the Attack Pieces along the way. Go through the blue pipe when you can reach it. Go through the green pipe in the ground. At level 26, the bros will rank up to Star Rank. Pick a bonus, which now includes boosting the healing power of items in battle and reducing the cost of Bros. Attacks and Luiginary Attacks. In this area, get the Attack Piece in the upper left corner. Return, then go through the pipe on the side using the umbrella. This will take you to another area with umbrellas. Go through the other green pipe by using the umbrella.

In this area, the bros will look over the ledge and see lots of spikes. Hover Jump, following the coin trail. To the right are more coins over the spikes. To the left is a couple of pipes. The upper pipe leads will take you over the pipe that you used to enter the area. The lower one leads to an Attack piece and another pipe.  To reach the pipe, stand on the umbrella and flip upside down. This will move the umbrella into position. Move gravity to the left wall and enter the pipe.

The last two Attack Pieces are here. You'll need to hit the left ! Block to reach one of them. This gives the bros the Luiginary Attack Luiginary Flame. Fire Luiginoids will pass off a flame to Mario, who'll send it down the line, getting bigger and bigger. Press (A) and (B) to keep the fireball going. Press (A) at the end to hammer it at the enemies. The right one makes the blue pipe accessible.

The blue pipe leads to a yellow pipe and Seadric. Go through the yellow pipe to remove the barrier, then return. Seadric says the last Dream Egg will maximize the dream world. The dream world expands. Seadric says the deepest part of the dream world should be through there. Mario says that Bowser and his minions might be luring monsters into the dream world, so Seadric will keep an eye out for them. Peach arrives, a little worried about someone letting monsters into the dream world, but will be fine waiting by herself. Cross over into the expansion.

Go through the green pipe on the right. Spring Jump up, then spin the nuts and bolts to reach other parts of the area. Go to the upper right. Ground pound through the rocks, then go to the lower left for an Ultra Candy, then return. Spring Jump up, then ground pound through more rocks. Spring Jump to the right to reach the pipe on the right. Use the Luiginary Flame attack on the Piranha Plants for critical damage. Go through the blue pipe after hitting the ! Block.

Here is another gravity maze puzzle with Pi'illo symbols. Move the symbol up, right, down, left, up, right, then down. This reveals a green pipe. Peach wanders in. She was worried and decided to check on the bros. Peach wants to go through the pipe as well, thinking that they've come so far that Bowser won't find them there. She says, to be safe, that the bros should save. Take her advice, and heal as well.

The bros go through the pipe, and it's immediately blocked off, as well as the other pipe leading to Broque Madame's shop. Peach says they can probably relax and they won't be interrupted here. She's acting strangely. Someone laughs, but it's not Peach. It sounds like Kamek. Peach's voice changes, asking if the bros still don't get it. Peach pulls off her disguise to reveal Kamek. This is the second time he's masqueraded as Peach. He pretended to be Peach to smuggle monsters into the dream world and bring the bros to the deepest part of the dream world. There's no mention of what happened to the real Peach. Mario suggests that he might've also wanted to wear Peach's dress. He thinks it's pretty cute. He thinks his blue robes are drab, before realizing what he's just admitted to. He says the bros should surrender, and lifts up the dress to reveal Private Goomp, Corporal Paraplonk, and Sergeant Guy. Kamek leaves the three to battle the bros. Private Goomp thinks this is their big chance to prove themselves. Corporal Paraplonk thinks they'll get a promotion for defeating the bros. The two call a time-out to discuss their career path trajectory. Corporal Paraplonk likes the fact that they're honor guards, but thinks they can get more executive positions by winning. Goomp likes the idea of being Kamek's superiors. Paraplonk comes up with the crazy idea that they might become Bowser's superiors. Sergeant Guy remains silent through all this. They return to the bros and thank them for waiting. Luigi's been drawing in the sand, which upsets Goomp. The battle starts.

Besides the three, there's a Banzai Blaster, and an army of Goombas, some in the background. The Goombas you defeat will be replaced with the Goombas in the background. The Goombas will form a stack and attack Mario a couple of times. Either dodge or jump on them, but jumping on them is better. They'll then rush back from behind. Jump to dodge as many as you can. Periodically, Sergeant Guy will have the Banzai Blaster loaded. Paraplonk will bounce between blocks, aiming for Mario. Counter or dodge by jumping. If you counter, he'll take out part of the Goomba reserve army. Sergeant Guy will turn the Goombas into Shy Guys like him. They'll approach Mario, so counter with the hammer. He'll be the one with the flag with Bowser's emblem in red. If Goomp or Sergeant Guy fall in battle, Paraplonk will revive them. They must be defeated at the same time. The Banzai Blaster will fire the Banzai Bill at Mario. It will chase it, so jump to dodge. The three will bring out a giant Bob-omb and chase Mario. The Goombas and the three will charge at Mario, so run around and jump to dodge. The Bob-omb will eventually explode, hurting the three. Use Luiginary Attacks as always, mainly the Luiginary Ball, as the Luiginary Flame doesn't hit Paraplonk. Keep at it until all three are defeated with a single attack.

Kamek calls the three pathetic and asks if a bunch of weaklings can guard Bowser. They are fired from their position as leaders of the honor guard and put on KP duty to clean Bowser's Castle. They beg for forgiveness. Kamek uses magic to send them out of the dream world. He says having the three battle the bros wasn't as fun, but the battle was merely for sport. Bowser kidnapped the real Peach. Kamek says they're probably in his new castle now. He doesn't need the bros anymore and leaves. Dreambert's upset at being deceived. He says they should return to the real world to formulate a new strategy. The pipes open up. Go through the pink pipe to go to Broque Madame's shop, so you can reach the portal quickly through the blue pipe.

Toadsworth asks how the mission went. Mario explains that Peach was an imposter. Starlow and Toadsworth freak out. Starlow suggests returning to Broque Madame's store, and she might be able to help them. Broque Madame is calm, but amazed that Peach was a fake. Toadsworth is embarrassed that he couldn't tell, even though he's know her all her life. Starlow suggests going to Neo Bowser Castle, but it's high in the sky and guarded by a barrier. Broque Madame mentions that Dr. Snoozemore, the proprietor of the island who invited Peach and the bros, has returned. Dreambert says they must visit him, as he's interested in meeting someone who's studying the Pi'illos. He also thinks Dr. Snoozemore may have ideas on dealing with Neo Bowser Castle, which was created by the Dream Stone. He is in Pi'illo Castle, so the bros should head there.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 14: Seadric's Strange Siblings

The bros have left Peach in the dream world while they go search for Seadric the Seadring's siblings. There are enemies in Driftwood Shore, including Fly Guys and Goombas. They'll team up for their attacks, like Fly Guys dropping Goombas on the bros, or flying over head while the Goombas attack from the ground.

Go east via the middle path. Dreambert spots another pool lounger Dreampoint. Stand on the blue elevator, then, at mid height, Side Drill through the rock. Break the rock so you can move more easily.  You'll encounter new enemies called Durapurls. They'll launch from their shells after closing them three times. Counter with the hammer. They'll also leave their shells and roll around. Counter by jumping. To reach the orange ! Block, walk to the south and Spin Jump from the blue elevator to an orange platform that moves. Transfer to the other orange platform. This will go around in a circle. Pick up the Attack Piece, while you're at it. The ! Block will activate another blue elevator. From this elevator, Side Drill through the rock, then smash the rock just to the south. Hit the switch to make the bridge appear. Go to the dream world.

Go east, then go through the pipe to find the Luiginary Work. Hover Jump over the spikes and spin the nuts and bolts. Go to the upper left to find the Seadring Seabelle. She has a Dream Egg prepared for them, but her false eyelash slipped and it will take her about an hour to redo her makeup. She runs off, but Mario brings her back and explains they need the Dream Egg. She says once she redoes her makeup, she'll be an aquatic supermodel. The bros don't want to wait and she interprets this as her looking like a supermodel as she is now. Dreambert mumbles about whether Seabelle is serious and she demands that he say, "Seabelle is a total supermodel even with a janky false eyelash and no makeup!" He complies, quietly. She wants him to say it louder. He yells. She's not sure if he was sincere, but he makes up for it in enthusiasm, so she hands over a Dream Egg. Rather, she spits it out. Her suggestion to meet up when she's wearing makeup is met with silence. She calls Dreambert an ice cube, then says she has a dream about a knight on a white horse coming for her and he's the opposite of the phony cushion prince, known also as Dreambert. She says she can tell the bros find her annoying. Mario denies this while Luigi pleads the fifth. She doesn't care and is going clubbing. She leaves. Take the pipe on the left back to the portal.

Go west and you'll find an Attack Piece and a pillow. There are Lakitus and Spinies here in the dream world. Using a hammer attack will flip the Spinies over. Jump on them to do critical damage. A Spiny will walk over to Mario with others in a line that may move. Hammer the Spiny twice to send it into the other Spinies. You can change directions with this counter. If you miss one, it will attack from the sides. Lakitu will fly into range solely to attack. He'll either throw Mushrooms or Spinies. Counter with a hammer to damage him. In the real world, go west.

Go on the wooden docks to the south to reach a warp pipe. Side Drill to the north to reach an Attack Piece. Use the blue elevator to reach the taller rock, then break the rock on it. Send Mini Mario through to hit the camera block. Side Drill to the right, then walk south and jump to reach the switch to make a bridge appear. Spin Jump from the rock in front of the bridge and go east. Spin Jump from there to reach an Attack Piece. Return and go west.

Dreambert notices a Dreampoint in the southern part of the area. Go approach the Shelltop on the dock, who's happy to see people. He set up a business, thinking it was a hot spot, but hasn't seen anyone in a long time. Mario says they want to cross the bridge and the Shelltop thinks it's a money-making opportunity. Before letting the bros cross, they'll have to play a game called Mole Hunt. The bros will hunt crabs while digging around like a mole. He wants to charge ten coins, but the bros play hardball. He makes a nice deal of an Attack Piece if the bros clear the game. The game still costs 10 coins. Dig underground, then pop up under the rustling sand to catch a crab. There are three different types of crabs, each worth different amounts of points. 10 points for a brown one, 20 for silver, and 40 for gold. The bros need to get 230 points in the time limit of one minute. If you see an orange block, hit it to blast nearby crabs out of the sand. Once you beat the game, he'll give you use of the bridge and the Attack Piece. He's going to revamp the game, so it will be open later. Grab the other Attack Piece in the area, then cross the bridge to the Dreampoint. If you go east of the Dreampoint, you can reach another Attack Piece and clear some rocks.

At the Dreampoint, enter the dream world and go west through the pipe. There's a new Luiginary Work. It has an arrow on it. The pool lounger Luigi's lying on also has arrows. Use the stylus to rotate the lounger, which changes the gravity in the dream world to flip 180 degrees. Go through the pipe on the ceiling. Walk on the floor, then walk on the right wall by rotating 90 degrees and hit the orange ! Block. This makes the pipe on the ceiling accessible. Go through it. Go through the pipe on the floor to reach the Seadring called Seatoon.

He recognizes them, calling them the superheroes, the Super Seadrings. He watches their show every week. The characters are Red Seadring, Green Seadring, and Orange Seadring, who likes to snack on cheese. Seatoon wants them to transform into their super forms. Dreambert decides it is best to humor him and play along. He says they need the Dream Eggs to defeat the evil Biggidy-Bowser. Seatoon buys it hook, line, and sinker. But he still wants them to transform before he hands over the Dream Egg. Dreambert says they still have to play along. Mario strikes a pose, but it's wrong, being Green Seadring's pose for after his special move. Both bros try and fail. The poses were wrong, unsynchronized, and without transformation. Seatoon starts to think they're imposters. Mario explains that they're the ones Seadric called about. Seatoon assumed due to the description that they'd be the Super Seadrings. He does appreciate the bros tried to make him happy and calls them nice. For being nice to him, he spits up a Dream Egg. He says it's just like the Super Seadrings to protect a damsel in distress, to the point it's a line in the theme song. The bros try posing again, but Seatoon tells them to stop. He says he's got some new heroes to root for. Go through the pipe on the left to return to the portal.

Go back east and cross the bridge you formed earlier. Dreambert says there's another Dreampoint nearby. Go to the west side and hop on the blue elevator, then go to the orange platform. Hit the orange ! Block to activate another blue elevator. Transfer to the orange platform and Side Drill through the rock on the right. Hit the switch to make the bridge appear. Walk up the rock you just Side Drilled through and destroy a rock. Send Mini Mario to get the Attack Piece. Use the Dreampoint.

In this part of the dream world, you'll find Dreamcap Rs and Dreamcap Captain Rs. They'll stack up and charge at Mario. Hit each stack with the hammer. They'll also attack in lines from the background. Counter or dodge with a jump. Go west. To the upper right is an orange ! Block that raises a stone so the bros can go further west.

The last of Seadric's siblings is here, Seabury. He mentions food, including berries and mushrooms. He says he got them seats in the Porridge Parlor, because it's a mush room. He thinks he's a comedian. He also explains that they're called Seadrings because you can "see 'd' rings". Luigi chuckles. Before he can crack another joke, Mario asks for the Dream Egg and he spits it up. Dreambert says to return to Peach. Seadring makes one last joke that falls flat, then says the bros and Dreambert need to loosen up and live a little, as they're in the dream world. Go west to the pipe and return to the real world.

Go east and get the last Attack Piece by Spin Jumping. This Bros. Attack is called Bomb Derby and is initiated by Mario. Luigi tosses bombs at Mario with the Circle Pad, then Mario hits them at the enemies with his hammer using (A). Toss the bombs quickly or they will explode while Luigi holds them. When you're ready, return to Seadric's Dreampoint. Seadric activates the Dream Egg and Mario jumps on his head three times. Seadric spews forth more of the dream world, creating a background the bros can enter. Seadric also add coins and other presents to the new area. Peach will stay put while the bros explore further.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 13: Surf, Sand, and Seahorses

The bros defeated Mount Pajamaja, which reopened the portal to the real world. Dreambert explains the situation to Starlow and Bowser and Antasma appear. Antasma says the Dream Stone has been restored. They take off to start their conquest. Starlow says that Peach is in danger and wants to go to the castle immediately. Dreambert says to wait as he remembers something. He pulls out a block from behind a rock. It's the Warp Pipe Block. Mario hits it, sending out golden warp pipes all over the island. Dreambert says they'll make traveling on the island easier. He hid the block before battling Antasma and forgot about it. He says there's on in the cave on the left and another in Pi'illo Castle. Unfortunately, new warp pipes will not activate until you use them at least once, so if you see one, use it then. Go into the cave and stand on the warp pipe. You can only choose the Pi'illo Castle Lobby for now.

You'll wind up in one of the back passages of the castle, where there's a Shelltop scrubbing floors. He's awake, so either people are waking up or the Dreambeats didn't reach him. Go up the stairs and into the lobby. Everyone else seems to be awake in the castle. A Brock says Peach and Toadsworth went to Driftwood Shore, thinking it would be safer while waiting for the bros to return. The bros leave for Driftwood Shore.

Meanwhile, at the summit of Mount Pajamaja, Bowser, his minions, and Antasma return. They're ready to conquer the world, but need ideas on what to do first. Corporal Paraplonk suggests stealing the world's food, then eating it. Sergeant Guy thinks of a fan club with rewards. Antasma says they'll need a castle, a new castle for just them as a base from which to conquer the world. Antasma wishes for the castle and one appears in the sky. It looks like a Bowser-style castle with lots of purple. Bowser likes it and wants to call it Neo Bowser Castle. Antasma wants to test out the castle, so he fires energy beams, destroying the smaller surrounding islands. The castle protects itself with a force field. It's Bowser's turn to make a wish.

People rush out of Pi'illo Castle, panicking about Neo Bowser Castle's appearance and the destruction of the surrounding islands. Starlow says they must hurry to Driftwood Shores to protect Peach. Before we do so, we open some more Warp Pipes and check in with Eldream. We've saved 26 Pi'illos so far. For saving 18, he gives a Birthday Ring. For 26, he gives Golden Wear. He'll give a gift at 37 Pi'illos next time. We also decrypt the image from the Camera Block. The fastest way there is to warp to the Dozing Sands Entrance, then head west.

Driftwood Shores has some lively, fun music. It also has Attack Pieces. Go south and a couple of Brocks will halt the bros' progress. Luigi tries to get past with no avail until one of them says Mario exudes justice and mustache. Mario and Luigi are recognized, but poor Luigi is deemed completely inconsequential. They said Peach came to the beach to escape Bowser, so they closed the beach down to keep suspicious types out. They let the bros through, saying Peach is waiting for them. Go east for now, ignoring the Attack Piece. This will take you to the shop area, where there's a warp pipe. Activate it and return. There's a building nearby with familiar architecture. A Brock employee takes them into the shop, saying Peach is waiting for them in the back of the store. It's a very nice boutique. To the left is the Silver Shop. It has new gear that can be a little expensive. When you're ready, go to the back room.

On a bed, a female Brock is getting a massage. This Brock has a French accent. She notices the bros and tells them not to tell anyone about her back therapy. As expected, she is Broque Madame and she owns the shop. She was waiting for them so she could show them something. Her masseur and masseuse are really Toadsworth and Peach. Peach really packs a punch in her massage. The two of them have been hiding since the Dream Stone was restored. They are fine, but Peach is rightly afraid of going outside with Bowser's new castle hovering about. Broque Madame says her shop isn't so safe, as Bowser could attack at any time. Toadsworth asks the bros to help find safer lodging for the princess. Broque Madame suggests the dream world, which eerily parallels a concept from somewhere else. She says there are many places on the beach where Luigi could fall asleep. Unless they're indoors, it sounds a bit risky. Broque Madame says there's a Dreampoint close to the shop. Toadsworth sends the bros to find the Dreampoint, then call for them when they find it. If you talk to Broque Madame, she'll ask the bros to enter her dreams and liven things up a bit, as she's bored. She's serious.

In Broque Madame's dreams, you'll battle with her using Luiginary Attacks, trying to get high scores. It's an endless mode challenge. She'll give you prizes for beating the rank scores.

When you're ready, leave the shop. Walk to the right to find an Attack Piece. To the right is a pillow on a tall rock. In the southeast corner, a tour group is meeting, with Popple in attendance. The tour guide mentions that there are many seahorse statues along the beach. Their purpose and their creator's identity are unknown. So little about them is known that they're one of the Seven Wonder of Pi'illo Island. The tour group gets some free time to wander before the tour continues. Popple's upset because he heard something really rare was here. He leaves. You can't cross the water using the Side Drill or Spin Jump, so go up on the rocks and send Mini Mario to the moving blue platform to the left. Hit the switch to create a bridge between the beach and the small island. The statues move and start spewing water. The tour guide ends the tour to tell everyone about the major discovery. Cross to the island and go west.

There are two Attack Pieces here and a Dreampoint nearby. Hit the orange ! Block to activate an elevating platform. From it, Spin Jump to the left, then cross to the right on the taller rocks. Hit the switch to form the bridge. Cross to the other side and you'll see the Dreampoint. It's a circular inflatable pool lounger, like an inner tube with the hole filled in. Starlow tells Luigi to take a nap while she retrieves Peach. Toadsworth entrusts her care to Mario. Starlow suggests sending her as deep into the dream world as possible. He picks her up and carries her through the portal.

Once in the dream world, Peach takes a look around, saying it's mysterious. She's surprised when she sees Dreamy Luigi, wondering how he got here. Mario explains and she understands. Mario and Luigi will scout ahead, so Peach should stay put. This may put her in a vulnerable position so close to the portal. Dreambert offers to keep her company, but she politely declines as there isn't any danger in the area... yet. To the right is an Attack Piece next to a blue pipe. It leads to Broque Madame, running another shop. Return to where Peach is and go left.

Aside from something blowing bubbles, there's nothing here, not even another path. Check out the bubble blower and Mario pulls it out. Press (A) repeatedly. What emerges from the sand is a coiled seahorse. It recognizes Mario and says it's been waiting for him. The seahorse knows what goes on in the real world, as it's a Seadring, a dream genie. His name is Seadric and the statues in the real world are modeled after him. He says this part of the dream world is small, but doesn't have enemies. Peach walks in because she got a little scared. She asks if the place will be safe and Dreambert voices his concerns over the proximity to the portal. Seadric says that a Dream Egg would expand the dream world, as there isn't much more to this part of the dream world. Dream Eggs hold more dreams. Seadric lays them, but it takes about 6 months for him to do so. For a quick fix, his brothers could help out. The bros can reach his brothers and sister by using other Driftwood Shore Dreampoints. He alerts his siblings that Mario and Luigi will be over to pick up a Dream Egg from each of them. Seadric warns them his siblings can be annoying and chatty. Seadric disappears, so Peach is on her own over here. Return to the real world to find the other Dreampoints.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 12: It's a Twister!

Mario has escaped to the dream world after Bowser and Antasma used the Dreambeats to put the entire island to sleep. Dreambert says Mario can't leave until the Dreambeats stop playing, so he must lie low here for a while. Walk to the right. The ground starts shaking and Dreambert stars panicking. The portal starts closing and disappears. Dreambert thinks the Dreambeats were too powerful and that Luigi's sleep became so profound that the portal ceased to exist. He says they must find a way to reopen the portal. Go right.

Up ahead, the Massif Bros are running a shop. Go right to start climbing Dreamy Mount Pajamaja. This is Base Camp 1. There are Attack Pieces here. Go right. The ground is slippery and there's a new Luiginary Work in the area. Activating it makes Luigi shiver. Starlow's worried and wishes she could help. Touch the button near Luigi's head. This turns on some hot rocks, warming Luigi up. This thaws everything in the dream world, including melting ice. Touching the button again turns off the heat and everything in the dream world freezes. To reach new areas, time your button pressing so pillars of ice freeze at the correct height. There's a bit of a delay in the temperature change and pillars of liquid water don't rise when you stand on them. On the right side, let the pillar drop down with Mario on it to reach an Attack Piece. Go right.

This is Base Camp 2. On the right side, push the block of ice over to the left, then thaw it to reach some platforms. There's an Attack Piece up above. Move a similar springy block over to the right to reach a switch, then back left to reach the platforms. Grab the Attack Piece, then go right. This will take you to Base Camp 3. There are punching fists, which you can stand on. Avoid being punched, which is like falling on spikes in that it will move you back to a safe point. On the right side, you can reach the higher platforms for an Attack Piece. Go right to reach some lava. Luigi gets too close to the lava. Dreambert surmises that Dreamy Mount Pajamaja is an active volcano. Mario wants to start an eruption to open the portal. Dreambert says they should go to the crater to do that. Form the cone to cross the lava and go up using an air current. Go right to Base Camp 4.

Here, you'll find enemies called Lob-omb Rs while battling other enemies. They behave like Lob-ombs. There is an Attack Piece at the top of the area. To the right are some items. Go up and left from Base Camp 4 to reach Base Camp 5, where the Luiginary Work has reappeared. There's an Attack Piece on the left side. Go to the upper right to find another Attack Piece at the top of the area. Return to Base Camp 5. There's a puzzle here with the Luiginary Work and the springy material. Thaw the area, then stand on the first pillar until it the other pillar reaches the bottom. Get off the pillar then so the pillars will move in sync and will be level with the springy material so it will slide across when frozen. Spring up, then go left.

Here, form the cone and Hover Jump to the left. There's a snowdrift ahead. A gust of wind picks up and removes the snowdrift, carrying Dreambert along for the ride. He returns, covered in snow. Mario thinks they can blow snow away like that. Mario and the Luiginoids unleash a powerful tornado on the next unsuspecting snowdrift. While in cone form, press (A) to whip up a tornado, move Mario around with the Circle Pad, then stop the tornado with (A). It's called the Luiginary Tornado. Drop down to the right to find more snowdrifts and unleash the fury of the tornado on them. Hit the switch on the left to open the path to the left.

This is Base Camp 6. There is a fountain here. If you drink from the fountain and press (A) after the bros fall asleep, you can keep going. The dream is different here. The bros wake up with an unusual power within them. They are so powerful that they can crush anything in their path. Bowser and Antasma are on the run, but their capture is inevitable and all they can do is blame each other for failing. They still have the Dream Stone and wish for the bros' defeat. Luigi, the superstar, gets his time to shine by taking back the Dream Stone with a graceful leap and otherworldly agility. Bowser and Antasma fail, Dreambert revives all the Pi'illos and welcomes scores of tourists to Pi'illo Island, making it famous. The party never ends. Pi'illo Island wakes up from its nightmare. Game Over. With health fully restored, the bros wake up and continue on. Take the lower left path to descend.

You'll want to descend the mountain to get an Attack Piece. Return to Base Camp 6. To the right, on a higher level, you'll find the last Attack Piece. The new Luiginary Attack is the Luiginary Hammer. Repeatedly press (B) to make the Luiginoids form a hammer, while using the Circle Pad to keep Mario balanced. Tilt gently in the same direction the hammer is falling. When approaching the enemies, use the Circle Pad to line up the cross hairs, then press (A) to swing the hammer. When you're done practicing, climb up higher, then go right twice to Base Camp 7.

There's a yellow block between two gray blocks. Use the tornado to pick up the yellow block, then move Mario so he can push the block into the switch to the right. This opens the gate ahead. Spring Jump up and you'll find more yellow blocks, but the switches are blocked by punching fists. Hit the blocks in the tornado with good timing. This will open two gates below. Go right, Hover Jumping over the spikes. Go up and to the right for some items. Return, then go to the upper left.

This is Base Camp 8. The temperature Luiginary Work is here. Send the frozen springy block to the left to reach the switch. Send it to the right to hit a black ! Block, which raises a bar to stop the block when it's sliding. Go to the upper left. This is the Base Camp. There's a blizzard ahead, which will obscure your vision. Use the tornado periodically to clear up the snow. Go to the middle right through a pipe. The summit is near. Go to the right side of this area, then heal and save at the Save Block. To the right is the summit.

At the summit, Luigi looks up, confused. Something's strange about the ceiling. Then it moves. It's not a ceiling, but a nose, over some giant teeth. It blows the bros away. They climb back up, Dreambert appears, and the creature yawns. It asks who woke him up. Dreambert says they need to make it erupt by goading it. Use the tornado to send a yellow block at the volcanic creature. An infinite stream of yellow blocks will appear, with spikes on either the left or right side. The spikes won't hurt Mario. Aim the yellow block at the pimple-like bulb on its nose. Do this repeatedly until it bursts. The creature is enraged and erupts. In the real world, Starlow notices that Luigi isn't sleeping as deeply. In the dream world, Dreambert panicks and says they must escape quickly. The bros run off as volcanic rock rains down. They trip and start rolling, forming a snowball. The monster follows and catches up, wanting to teach the bros a lesson. It charges the bros. In the real world, Luigi's "L" is shining. The Luiginoids gather to form giant Dreamy Luigi.

The monster, Dreamy Mount Pajamaja, approaches Mario and Dreambert, but Dreamy Luigi knocks him away with his hammer. Mario rides on Luigi's cap. Mount Pajamaja has his guard up, so Dreambert asks if there is a way to break it. He suggests the Hammer Uppercut. Select the hammer, then the Hammer Uppercut. Slide quickly in the arrow's direction to swing the hammer vertically. This will launch it backwards. Dreambert suggests a Bros. Attack. There's a new one called the Drill Stomp. Make circles in the arrow's direction to make Mario spin faster. Doing so will allow you to continue the attack again and again. Be sure to check the arrow's direction, as it changes. At the end of the attack, Mario will need to rest for a while. Mount Pajamaja will volley a volcanic rock with Luigi. Slide in the arrow's direction to hit it back. It will eventually land in Mount Pajamaja's crater, causing some damage. While battling solo, use Hammer Uppercut to knock the enemy backwards, then jump on it. It will charge at Luigi, so slide repeatedly to push it back. It says it will get superheated. It will sit in the ground, then form a tower from the rock below. It will spew rocks at Luigi. Stop them by touching the circles they're headed for to knock them back with the hammer. A volcano behind the will start erupting. The rock it throws at Mount Pajamaja will heal it slightly. Use the hammer to knock it off its base. The base can be used to plug up the volcanoes. Keep attacking until the it's health is low and Dreambert announces it's time to use Finishing Bros. Aim the star cursor with the star on Mount Pajamaja's nose for an Excellent attack. The bros get four presents. Dreamy Luigi returns to normal.

As predicted, after dealing with the volcano, the portal reappears because Luigi sleeps less soundly. It seems the Dreambeats have stopped. What awaits the bros in the real world?

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 11: Tribal Lullaby

The bros have reached the lower part of Mount Pajamaja's snowy peak. Ahead are two more giant pillows and a Mighty Gate. The bros are near the peak. Go east twice. Here snow and lava coexist. There are spikes in the way, so the Massif Bros ask the bros to Spin Jump into them. This allows them to break through the spikes. Use this to clear a path to the Attack Piece and the exit to the west. Hit the switch to lower the draw bridge, then go west. Spin Jump across the gap, then hit the orange ! Block to the north. Spin Jump across the gap to the west, then follow the path to the west.

Spin Jump into the Massif Bros as before. Up ahead, a gust of wind blows through periodically. Time your Spin Jump so the wind doesn't blow the Massif Bros into the lava. Before you reach the next wind gust, Spin Jump south and around the corner to the right for the last Attack Piece. The new Bros. Attack is Dropchopper, initiated by Luigi. The chopper will hover over the bros. Tilt to move it over each bro, then have each bro jump to hold on. Steer the chopper by tilting, then line up the sight with the enemies. Press the button when prompted to drop down on the enemies. Keep going and Spin Jump into them so they can cross the lava. Hit the switch to lower the bridge. Go east.

Hit the orange ! Block to make a platform appear, allowing you to return more easily. Go east and Side Drill through the rock to open the path for Spin Jumping over an air vent. This will take the bros to the giant pillows. To the east is a bean spot, if you're interested. Luigi takes a nap on a giant pillow. Dreambert's amazed that Luigi can sleep so much. The ground is slippery in the dream world. There are new enemies called Magmads and Iceads. They can change types. Use hammer attacks on the Magmads. They will approach Mario and attack. Counter with the hammer.  They'll also surround Mario and breathe either fire or ice. If the others are hit by an attack that is the same type as them, they'll be healed. Go right. Try to go right again and a giant ice fist will block the path. An orange ! Block appears. You have 30 seconds to hit the blocks counting down from 5 to 1, but the ground is slippery and the other blocks have upside-down numbers. Have one bro take the top set of platforms while the other is on the ground. The nightmare chunk is on the other side of the fist. Once you return to the real world, go through the green pipe. This will take you back down to the base, so you can hit the switch and return to the summit more easily. For the other Mega Pi'illo, go right, then form the cone to Hover Jump over spikes. Go right, the let the air currents take the bros to the lower right corner where the nightmare chunks are.

The Mega Pi'illos Cush and Shawn do a dance, then destroy the Mighty Gate. Dreambert asks if the other Mega Pi'illos this odd. The Massif Bros think these Mega Pi'illos are the same Muscle Lords from before. Heal and save, then continue to the summit. Ahead is a sleeping creature that looks like an elephant made of bricks. The Massif Bros say it is Mammoshka, the guardian of the mountain. They decide to avoid it. The bros try to follow, but Luigi's nose twitches. He has to sneeze, which wakes up Mammoshka and turns the Massif Bros to stone. Mammoshka attacks.

There's an X on Mammoshka's head, which is its weak point. Hitting it will do critical damage. Use Bros. Attacks like Dropchopper and Bye-Bye Cannon. Mammoshka will roll a snowball into a bro. Counter with a hammer. Block Monolifts will appear, holding a helmet in ice. Some are made of rock, others have spikes. Destroy the Block Monolifts immediately. Mammoshka will get enraged and chase the bros, trying to inhale them. Jump over the air currents. Mammoshka will also throw a giant rock the bros will have to volley with their hammers at the same time, repeatedly. Sometimes, Mammoshka will chase one bro, who'll run into the other. Either jump over or onto the other bro. After Mammoshka takes enough damage, it will shed its red brick layer and reveal white bricks. The bros will chase Mammoshka and stomp when prompted, which will remove layers like matryoshka, or nested dolls. Underneath, Mammoshka is fuzzy and will be defeated when attacked in this state.

The Massif Bros drop in, saying the guys at the peak were evil looking. Since they've reached the peak, the tour is over. Walk up, then Spin Jump in the air current to reach the top of the summit. Bowser, Antasma, Kamek, Sergeant Guy, Corporal Paraplonk, and Private Goomp are there, admiring the Dream Stone. Antasma is going to use it to realize his dreams. He changes into his true form, something he can only do in the real world. To activate the Dream Stone, they must gather some energy for it so it will grant their wishes. Antasma wants to conquer the world, instead of not screeching, as Bowser suggested. Bowser says he'd better change his wish, as that is what Bowser is doing. Antasma will give Bowser the world as long as he has the freedom to spread his wings and do whatever he wants. Bowser's fine with this. The bros show up, and Bowser can't remember Luigi's name. Starlow wants Bowser to hand over the Dream Stone and Dreambert will return Antasma to the dream world. Antasma says they should get the energy for the Dream Stone and deal with the bros later. Private Goomp tells the bros to listen to something and turns on the speakers. Antasma says all things must sleep. Dreambert thinks the music might be the Dreambeats, which makes anyone who hears them fall asleep. This include Sergeant Guy, Corporal Paraplonk, Private Goomp, and Kamek. Bowser's covering his ears, Starlow is unaffected, as well as Dreambert and Antasma. The bros are nodding off. Starlow smacks into Mario, waking up, but Luigi is easily lured by the music. Dreambert suggests retreating and leaving the Dream Stone for now. Dreambert can handle Antasma, but not Bowser if Mario falls asleep. Everyone runs off, except Luigi, who sleep runs.

Everyone runs to the left. Luigi falls over and rolls into a ball that rolls down the ramp. He's asleep at the bottom of the hill, despite Starlow trying to wake him up. Dreambert says there's a Dreampoint nearby. He says to let Luigi sleep and everyone else escapes into the dream world, where the Dreambeats can't reach them. Mario and Starlow set Luigi up to sleep on the Dreampoint, while the Dreambeats echo over Pi'illo Island. Everyone on the island hears it and falls asleep, releasing Dream Orbs. They flow into the Dream Stone, which will allow Antasma and Bowser to absorb energy from anyone who's sleeping. They are the Dream Stone's power source, as Antasma explains. Bowser can understand some of what he's saying, even with his ears covered. They'll be able to use the Dream Stone soon. Meanwhile, Mario is safe in the dream world.
