Before taking the pipe underwater, stand on the ledge to the right to make coins appear. There are coins trailing the Cheep-Cheep as well. There is a random item block, so try your luck at getting a Gold Flower. That or a Fire Flower will be very helpful, as there are man-eating giant Cheep-Cheep in the water. Throughout are blue pipes with currents pushing you to the right. Above one of them is a yellow pipe that takes you to the first Star Coin. It's in the middle of a current pushing up. Jump out of the water and pound the ground to reach it. Before you reach the midpoint, there will be a random coin block and a giant Cheep-Cheep. To the right are Red Coins and, below them, a yellow pipe blocked by brick blocks. If you have the Gold Flower, you can access this pipe. It leads to a room with brick blocks that can be turned into quick cash. The pipe to the right takes you directly to the second Star Coin, but you can't quite reach it. Go to the right, up the left side, then the right, go left, and down to reach it. There will be a giant Cheep-Cheep waiting for you at the top, as well as a Starman in the middle item block. After you take out the Cheep-Cheep to the right, go through the green pipe below. The current from the blue pipe prevents you from getting the third Star Coin, so hit the ? Switch above. Leave the area and go through the green pipe at the end for the flag.
Coin Total: 24,865

New Super Mario Bros.: 4-5
We take a pipe to go underground. We land on a mushroom and find the path blocked by some stone blocks shaped like stairs. Above them is a pipe with an endless supply of Bob-ombs so you can blow up the blocks. We'll be doing a lot of that here. We pass the midpoint without finding any Star Coins. The first Star Coin is encased in stone blocks, so have a Bob-omb destroy the blocks so you can reach it. Be careful not to blow up too much of the floor. Next is a series of drawbridges. The second Star Coin is surrounded by brick blocks above the second drawbridge, so hit the brick block under the Bob-omb walking around, and let it explode some blocks. Then use the drawbridge as a ramp and jump up through the gap to get it. Under one of the later drawbridges is a pipe covered with stone blocks. Carefully drop a Bob-omb down there, then enter the pipe. It will take you to the third Star Coin. In the last part of the level, there will be Spinies crawling on the ceiling, so watch out for them. At the end is a pipe to the flagpole, which opens the way to 4-6.

Super Mario 3D Land: 4-5
It's time to deal more with the green tile bridges! We need them to cross gaps, so don't rush ahead. We use the set of four to reach a level with a Boomerang Bro. We hop in a purple Mystery Box to get Coins. I fell trying to get the first Star Coin.
Take 2- We reach the Boomerang Bro and hit both switches to make a bridge to the next platform and the first Star Coin to the right. We take the orange Mystery Box to the midpoint. I make another bridge, where we have to avoid spike blocks. I missed the second Star Coin because I reached the orange Mystery Box on the platform first. I died from a boomerang.
Take 3- We get the second Star Coin by staying on the edge of the moving yellow platform while it passes the Mystery Box. We warp. The bridges in the left corner take us to the third Star Coin. We are hit by a boomerang.
Take 4- We fell.
Take 5- We get the last two Star Coins and take out the Boomerang Bro. The bridges to the right lead to some clocks and the other set lead to an orange Mystery Box to the flagpole. Wall jump from the left bridge onto the right bridge to the flagpole.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii: 4-5 -- Stop, Collaborate, and Listen
Yoshi's back! Just when I started thinking I'd never see him again and that he was a one-time only character, he finally shows up again. We haven't see him in two entire worlds, but maybe deserts and ice lands are not his habitat. Either way, it's good to see him again. We see a cloud block above a palm tree. I hit it, and release a Lakitu, with another one on the way. We now know never to do that again. We get Yoshi, and while standing on palm trees, my Yoshi eats a Lakitu, so I take off in his cloud. I get a lot of coins, while Yellow Toad continues on the ground, negotiating with the Spinies. We frequently lose our Yoshis to enemies, and swap them when they are recovered. I make sure to feed my Yoshi lots of fruit so I can get items from the eggs he lays. We enter a pipe above a palm tree, where we see the third Star Coin. We continue on to the end of the level.
