More Victories!

I finally beat Super Paper Mario. It was a fun game and I look forward to doing the Sammer Guy Challenge. Chapter 7 was somewhat difficult in that in certain areas, I got lost in Count Bleck's Castle, which has somewhat of a Phantom of the Opera thing going with the cracks in the doors. The team of four heroes is picked off one-by-one as they have to do battle with Count Bleck's three minions, and the castle starts to be destroyed by the Void. Bowser is the first to go (the player has no say in the matter). After the battle is over, the ceiling collapses. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Tippi wonder what has become of Bowser and if they should move on. Luigi and Peach provide some comic relief saying that Bowser has survived worse and he's not that easy to get rid of. Peach is the next to go, as Mimi taunts her for always having Mario and Luigi come to her rescue. Luigi takes on Dimentio, leaving Mario and Tippi alone to battle Count Bleck. At first, he is invincible, but his barrier is shattered by the Pure Hearts. After beating him, he realizes his error, but Dimentio steps in at the last minute to control the destruction of all worlds. He, too, is initially invincible, but the love between Count Bleck and Tippi creates another set of Pure Hearts to counteract his barrier. He is then defeated, and the Void disappears with the Pure Hearts counteracting the Chaos Heart.

I got a little bored with collecting the Star Coins, so I started this game's prequel, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I will blog about this one, and play it until Super Mario Galaxy 2 gets here (it's in cataloging). I am not watching any playthroughs or walkthroughs so nothing will be spoiled for me.
