Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
The Purple Coins are scattered all over the main planet; underwater, in the air, and on top of the planet. Check the tops of all of the palm trees; some of the less obvious coins are there. We can reach some coins using the swing and the vine. In the middle of the water is a rock with a Purple Coin, so we wall-jump and spin to reach it. There's a Spring Shroom on the planet, so we can reach the coin high behind the waterfall and spring to the top parts of the planet for more coins. There is a white circular rock with coins high above it. We need to spring to reach them. There are more Purple Coins at the very top of the planet. The Star appears by the coach.

Matter Splatter Galaxy - Watch Your Step
Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
We land in a galaxy with a green background, where the Space Fantasy music plays. There are lines bouncing off the floor, temporarily making it visible. This is like Matter Splatter Mansion. We reach the end of the path, dodging Magikoopas, and reach a green pipe. It takes us to an area with a "spotlight" moving side to side. We move to the right and wall-jump up. The "spotlight" moves to the left and takes us to another green pipe. Here, we get the Spring Suit and the ? Coin, which moves the "spotlight" vertically. We have to keep up by springing. We can go through the pink grates. There's a 1-up on one of the swings. At the top, there's a Sling Star on the swing which takes us automatically to a green pipe. The green pipe leads us to a dark area with the Star far in the distance. The "spotlight" will make parts of a branched path visible. Some areas will dead end, not leaving you with much room to backtrack. Magikoopas will appear, so be prepared to deal with them. The path you should take is left, left, right, and left to the Star. This took five takes.

We land in the galaxy and wall-jump up the first pair of pillars for a 1-up. We reach the first two green pipes. We spring up to the Sling Star, getting a 1-up on the way. We sling to the green pipe and reach the Star using the same path.

Toy Time Galaxy - Bouncing Down Cake Lane
Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
When we land, the train is going in the opposite direction. We launch to the food-based side of Toy Time, which is somewhat like Sweet Mystery Galaxy. We land on a swirled pastry and get the Spring Suit. With it, we automatically wall-jump up between the cakes. Unfortunately, I fell off here.
Take 2- From the top of the cakes, we drop down to a conveyor belt with chocolate bars as obstacles we have to spring over. The ? Coin makes lots of Star Bits that direct us to drop down to a couple of cakes, one of which has holes and is spinning. We go around it to the Sling Star, with its shadow the only immediately visible part of it.
We land on an ice cream cone where the ice-themed Freezeflame music plays. It's snowing here. We climb up and jump to popsicle sticks. We land on a lollipop spinning around a spiked laser. On the other side are stairs made of ice with blue Octoombas. Beyond that is another set of lollipops spinning around a spiked laser. We end up on another ice platform. There is a cannon, but behind it is a Life Shroom. From the cannon, we can aim for Pull Stars with Star Bits or the Launch Star.
The Launch Star leads us to a cake planet with forks sticking out of it, making stairs. If we go down the stairs, we find a spoon with a green pipe. The ? Coin makes musical notes that play a sped-up version of the underground theme for a 1-up. I fell of the stairs.
Take 3- The cake is a 3-layer cake. We have to blow out the candles by spinning them. Once all of them are extinguished, a Launch Star appears.
We land on another cake with a Monty Mole in a tall turret that fires balls of electricity. We get a Spring Suit so we can reach him and pound the turret. After the second hit, the turret will periodically electrify. We get in the third hit, when the turret is not electrified. The turret explodes and the Star appears on top of the jar, with a 1-up much higher.
Star Get #79, 4 Coins, 3400 Star Bits, 16 Lives
Luigi
This also took me three attempts. We launch and get the Spring Suit to reach the Sling Star and Launch Star. Near one of the cakes is a hiding Gearmo, saying "Wah! you found me!" We go to the ice area and get the Life Shroom. We use the cannon and two more Launch Stars to reach the cake with the Monty Mole. We get in all three hits and the Star.

Toy Time Galaxy - Heavy Metal Mecha-Bowser
Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
We land in a galaxy that looks like a children's playroom with toys floating in space. A remix of the original Super Mario Bros. theme plays. We take a train to a Launch Star. We land on a bunch of blocks crawling with Mecha-Bowsers that breath fire. We can kill them with a ground pound. We find a panicking Gearmo, who says his friends have been kidnapped. To the right, we see pink patches on the walls with their own gravity, so we can walk on the walls. We use the gravity to reach screws on the walls that make Star Bits and give us access to new areas. We then go to the back of the planet, and remove the screws so we could reach the lower level and walk up to the Launch Star hidden by the grate that we just unscrewed. We launch through the chimney and fly past pencils.
We land on another block planet and get the nearby ? Coin, which makes the Spring Mushroom appear. Getting it wraps a spring around Mario and we get a message: "You transformed into Spring Mario! Press (A) at the right moment to bounce high. BOOOOING!" With the Spring Suit, we are always bouncing, so bouncing off is a real possibility. That's what happened in Take 1. We get the Spring Suit and bounce along the nearby path to the right. Under a green block, we'll find an Easter Egg: a small train just like the one at the start of the galaxy. Nearby is a green pipe that with a ? Coin at the top of several blocks, which will turn those blocks into Star Bits. We leave through the green pipe and continue on the long conveyor belt path with the laser. The blocks lead to the Launch Star, which will cause us to lose the Spring Suit. We land on a plate with a fork and spoon, with a Launch Star in a jar. We spring to the top of the jar and pound our way through the rock to reach the Launch Star.
This will take us to the base of Mecha-Bowser, which more like a toy robot than Bowser. The Mecha-Bowser music plays. We wall jump up its feet and spin the screws for a Sling Star. (After the first screw, take the orange pipe to the other foot.) We land on the chestplate with circling fire bars. We have to remove the screws while avoiding being burned. The panel will fall away, so duck into the alcoves. The lower alcove has a pipe a platform near its right arm. There is a platform that goes down to the base back here, in case we fall off. We climb on the arm, which has its own gravity and walk to the shoulder, killing the bats, as they may knock you off. At the shoulder is a screw. We spin the screw, which removes it and the arm slowly falls off. The Launch Star appears, so launch quickly. We land in front of the mouth, which spews fire balls. Magikoopas are also in the area, so I recommend taking them out as well. We get the Spring Suit to reach the top of the robot. Unfortunately, I died from fireballs. Towards the top of the head is a laser, some Gearmos in a cage, and a tall stack of rocks. We have to spring to the top of the rocks and pound them, which shuts off Mecha-Bowser and makes him explode. We land at the base where the Star appears, as well as the Gearmos, with their head smoking.

Once again, it takes three attempts to reach the Star. We take the train to the Launch Star and remove the screws blocking access to the second Launch Star. We become Spring Luigi and reach Mecha-Bowser, dealing with the screws and springing to the top of the robot's head. We pound the rocks to shut it down for the Star.

Chompworks Galaxy - Green Star 3
Welcome Back to the Galaxy!
This Star can be annoying to get. I launched to the midgate and got a 1-up. I died from the lava after being knocked in by Chomps. I gave up to pursue other Stars.
Take 2- I missed the Launch Star due to a bad spring jump.
Take 3- I launched to the midgate and got a 1-up. A Chomp knocked me into the lava, but I made it to the Launch Star. I tripped the midgate with only one health bar remaining. I saw the Star above the right turret. I went up the second moving platform and spring-jumped to the right ontothe turret, then spring-jumped to the Star, which can be a little tricky to line up. This is a Type 1 Star.

Chompworks Galaxy - Spring into the Chompworks
Welcome Back to the Galaxy!
This is another Star I don't like. The Spring Mushroom appears, which makes a spring coil around Mario so he can bounce high. It disappears when we try to launch, but after we trip the midgate, we get another. We find a Gearmo standing in the way of the Chomp assembly line, breaking up Chomps that roll into him. We must use the Spring Suit to bounce over and in between the Chomps to reach the other side and progress. I take 3 hits from Chomps and die. I could really use a Life Shroom here! I think the problem is that I am not used to the timing of this Spring Suit or I am out of practice from Galaxy. (The Spring Suit does not get used a lot.)
Take 2- I found a 1-up right above the midgate. I took too many hits from Chomps.
Take 3- I got a 100 Star Bit 1-up, the 1-up from the midgate, and died in the lava.
Take 4- I got the midgate 1-up, and was knocked into the lava by a Chomp and died.
Take 5- I got another 100 Star Bit 1-up and the midgate 1-up. I made it past the Chomps and had to cross a smaller bridge with Mini Chomps rolling out. I died from a Mini Chomp.
Take 6- I got the midgate 1-up, was hit by a Chomp, knocked into the lava, got out, and died from a hit from another Chomp. This is aggravating!
Take 7- See Take 6. I gave up at this point to pursue the Grand Star from Bowser's Gravity Gauntlet.
Take 8- I got the Spring Suit and launched to the midgate. I got the 1-up above the midgate and died from Chomps.
Take 9- I got the midgate 1-up, a 100 Star Bit 1-up, and died from hitting a Chomp, the lava, and then made a bad jump and died.
Take 10- See Take 6.
Take 11- I got the midgate 1-up. I reached the end of the assembly line after taking a hit from a Chomp and falling into the lava. I backflip up to the Mini Chomp ledge and launch to another midgate. Finally some progress! This new planet is a tower. We spring jump up the platforms and gears of the tower to reach the Star. Another Star I don't want to do again. That took way too long.

Interlude
Chee? We land in the Engine Room, which means we mysteriously brought back an item from our travels. Lubba asks, "Wait, this is a spring, so you wear that?" Yes, you bet we do. "Does is make a big Boing sound when poked?" I bet it does. Try it. All of the domes in the Engine Room have been filled! Yay! Wait, that means no more new power-ups. Drat! The Luma in the Engine Room says he'll have to brag to everyone now that we've filled all of the domes. Now that we're done collecting items, let's continue collecting Stars!
