New Super Mario Bros.: 7-Castle

This level involves riding around on snake platforms. The platform will snake around the level and double back on itself, so pay attention. At first, you'll have to dodge the Amps in the area. The first Star Coin is past two of them. After a while, the platform will take you past some Thwomps. Trigger them to fall early so they won't fall on you. The platform stops at a lone stone platform, which is the midpoint. Get off the snaking platform before it falls. There's another snake platform waiting for you. This one will initially take you through an area with spike balls on chains. The second Star Coin is above the anchor point for a ball and chain. Take the platform past it, then drop down onto the Star Coin and the anchor point, then get back on before the platform goes over you. It will then take you to an area with periodically firing jet engines. It will stall in front of the boss door, so let it start to drop, then run and jump to get the third Star Coin before you fall with it. The door will take you outside, where you'll have to climb platforms up to the roof. The boss here is Lakithunder, a Lakitu with bat wings on a gray storm cloud. He throws Spinies, sends down bolts of lightning, and swoops down periodically. When he swoops down, stomp him. Stomp him three times for the key. Bowser Jr. will take Peach to World 8 if you haven't defeated the boss of World 6.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-A

Oddly enough, this is a pipeworks world. The pipe takes you into an area where almost all of the platforms are pipes. Some of the pipes make small white "Wigglers" appear. They can crawl over all surfaces. There are invisible blocks to the right of the magenta platform, which allow you to go through the pipe leading to the first Star Coin. Go into the pipe cannon on the right side, then wall jump up to the pipe to reach the second Star Coin. Once you come back through that pipe, go up a pipe a white Wiggler came out of, then up the middle pipe over the teal platform. There are invisible blocks that will prevent you from going up a gap, so go to the right, then wall jump up the pipe to stand on top of it. There is a Piranha in this pipe, so be careful. Hop up the pipes going left, and go up the pipe in the corner. Go right and get a Mini Mushroom from an item block on the right, then go back left and wall jump up to reach a mini pipe next to a pipe with a Piranha Plant. This will lead to an area with coins and the third Star Coin. Leave that area and avoid Piranha Plants to reach a pipe on the right wall. Hit the stack blocks so you can go through it. This leads to the flag opens a path to the castle.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-7

This is an automatic sidescroller. Making life more interesting are the numerous donut lifts. The first Star Coin is near a ferris wheel platform. There are platforms moving left and right, and will pass past walls, so you might fall off. Jump over the wall to avoid falling. Soon, the level will start moving up. Here, you'll find a set of Red Coins. Past them is the second Star Coin, under some donut lifts. Let them drop down to get it, then quickly wall jump back up. Next is a pyramid of donut lifts. Be careful about jumping up off screen, as Koopas are walking around here. The third Star Coin is a little to the left, so jump up to reach it carefully. The level will start moving to the right after the pyramid. Koopas are on some of the platforms, so be careful. There is an item block between the pipes if you need some extra health. Take the ferris wheel platform to the flag. The path to the castle will open up.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-6

Time for more mushroom platforming. You'll be dealing with mostly Koopas and Piranhas here. After the midpoint, you'll find two rows of brick blocks. Clear out the middle ones on the top row first, then hit the middle ones of the lower row, one which has a vine. Take it up to Coin Heaven, where there is a tilting mushroom to convey you to the first Star Coin. Take the red pipe up to reach the red goal to 7-7. If you bypass the vine, the second Star Coin will be nearby. There are two Parakoopas here, so you can defeat them and use the shell to get it. Go down the yellow pipe and hope over the three Parakoopas to reach the red pipe to the third Star Coin. There will be lots of Parakoopas over here. Go up and over and reach the regular goal to 7-4.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-5

The main enemies you'll have to deal with here are Bob-ombs and Bullet Bills. The first Star Coin is overhead, blocked by bricks. Break some bricks as Super Mario or hit the Bob-omb to break some bricks, then bounce off of a Bullet Bill to reach it. If you're Mini Mario, use a Bob-omb to break a stone block over a mini pipe. Take it down to a room with Micro Goombas. The second Star Coin is blocked by a pipe. The item block contains a Mega Mushroom, so get it and use it to push back the pipe and get the Star Coin. You can't leave until the power wears off, so take out the Micro Goombas, then pound the ground to make Goombas appear from the ceiling. Take the pipe back up and you'll reach the midpoint near a few Bill Blasters and item blocks. Go past some more Bill Blasters and blocks and you'll find the third Star Coin between two Bill Blasters. At the end is a Banzai Blaster in front of the regular goal. This takes you to 7-6. Just in front of the Banzai Blaster is a pipe covered with stones. You'll need two Bob-ombs to break through them. Place them where the stones form corners. The pipe will take you to an underground area with coins, then you'll go up another pipe to thre red goal to 7-A.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-Fort

This fort has moving spike walls to make the level interesting. Take the red pipe up, climb up, then drop down to the right to the get the first Star Coin. To avoid spikes, duck while jumping up the spiked stones. There will be a stone moving left to right. Go into the alcove above while it's moving, then drop down between the spikes so it will take you to the other side. There are retracting stairs with spikes which lead to a door to the midpoint. The door will take to the next area. Here, you'll have to dodge moving spikes and crushing stones. Hop over the vertically-moving stones, to reach the second Star Coin. There are four moving spiked stones above. They will either move into the formation of a diamond or square. Move when they're a square to avoid being crushed. Just above, a series of stones will move into place to block you from reaching the boss door and third Star Coin. Move quickly and get out of the way, or into the boss door to avoid being crushed. Bowser Jr.'s wearing his mask and the battle takes place on a moving stone slab. Use either the shell he throws or fireballs to take him out. He'll run off with Peach to the castle after you defeat him.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-3

This level starts off on a grassy plain with a couple of Wigglers wandering around. Pick up and item and head down the green pipe on the right. This will lead to a new area, where a giant Wiggler is the level. He'll be taking you to the pipe at the end. I recommend standing near the middle of the Wiggler. He'll periodically hop so you can reach higher places. There's some Red Coins to get, as well as platforms to hop on. Soon, you'll come across an overhead pipe that spews an infinite amount of Goombas. The first Star Coin is over a Boomerang Bro. The next item block you come across will be a Starman. This is no ordinary Starman: this will make a trail of Silver Coins wherever you go. All other item blocks will also contain Starman as long as you're invincible when you hit the block, allowing you to have a ton of fun. The second Star Coin is over a high platform. Eventually, you'll reach the pipe at the end, which is guarded by another Boomerang Bro. Don't try to follow the Wigger offscreen. There will be stairs made of bricks down to the flag. Before you go to the flagpole, pound the top brick to send a vine down, break the lower brick blocks, walk under the stairs, and drop down the gap. The third Star Coin is in an alcove to the right. Use the vine to reach it, then go to the goal.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-2

This is a narrow level that wraps around, so if you go off screen to the left, you'll appear on the right. Go up the pipe and get on a platform with three arrows. Stand either on the left or right sides to make the platform go in that direction as it continually ascends. To make life interesting, you'll have to contend with Parakoopas, who will walk on the platform if you stomp them once. There are narrow gaps throughout the level, and after the first one, you'll find the first Star Coin encased in brick. Break the bricks to get it. There are some Red Coins to collect before the midpoint. You'll want to stay to the right until the stairs appear, then move towards the center. Use a Koopa shell at the top of the stairs to reach the second Star Coin, so you can keep going. Towards the top, you'll find Parakoopas flanking the center of the level. The third Star Coin is over on the left side, so be careful as you try to get it. Take the pipe at the top to the goal.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7- Ghost House

This Ghost House is a bit of a maze, so keep track of where you're going. The orange ? Switch makes five doors permanently appear. The lower left door leads to a room with coins and Boos and a ? Switch that makes a door appear. This takes you back to the room with five doors. The upper left door leads to a room with a undulating gelatinous floor with some pumpkins and the first Star Coin. You'll return back to the first room. The top door leads to a room with a gelatinous floor. Pound the floor repeatedly on the left side of the room to reach the second Star Coin trapped in the floor. Pound the floor on the right side to hit a ? Switch to make a door to the first room appear. The upper right door leads to a confusing room where you'll see some gloved hands floating near the ceiling. They're pointing to a moving invisible block, so hit it for a ? Switch to make a door to the first room. The lower right door leads to the third Star Coin and both goals. There are hands pointing to another invisible block here. The ? Switch in it makes a couple of platforms appear, which lead to a door high up. The door takes you to a room with coins and a P-Switch. Hit the P-Switch to turn the coins into brick blocks. If you run to the right, run quickly, avoiding Boos and hop up the brick blocks over to the high floor. If you make it in time, run over to the right for the third Star Coin. Eitherway, keep going right on the lower level to reach a door to the regular goal, which leads to 7-2. If, at the P-Switch, you decide to go to the left, you'll run a short way before coming across a single brick block that shimmers while the others do not. This block has a vine that takes you to a door to the red goal. It will open the path to 7-Fort.

New Super Mario Bros.: 7-1

World 7 is a cloud world. In this level, we'll find platforms on paths. Take the first platform to the right, then transfer to the higher platform. The platform will fall off its track and drop to the lower one so you can get the 1st Star Coin. It will go to the end of the line at the left and go back right, then fall into the void. Jump to the clouds to before it falls off. Here, you'll need to move quickly to get on the flying item block. Get on it before you reach the winding path of the platforms and don't hit it. It will take you over the void to a pipe. The pipe takes you to an area where you'll find lots of coins and ropes on gears. The ropes on gears will take you to the 2nd Star Coin and a green pipe back to the main level. There are more platforms on paths, but this time you'll have to contend with a respawning Fire Chomp. Fire Chomps have a tail of fire which represents how many flames they can shoot at you. If you don't stomp it before the tail runs out, it will explode. There are Red Coins in the area. Transfer to another platform which takes you to the pipe to the flag. To reach the 3rd Star Coin, take the platforms instead of taking a ride on the flying item block. Go up the pipe at the end of the path, then take the higher path to the 3rd Star Coin.

Super Mario 3D Land: 7- Airship

What will happen on the last Airship? Let's see! Something tells me that we may have to duke it out with both Boom Boom and Pom Pom. We launch from the cannon. This Airship is an Auto-sidescroller. We have to cross rotating platforms. On the edge towards the screen of the first platform is the first Star Coin. We walk to the edge to get it, then walk back up to safety. We cross three rotating platforms and get a Boomerang Flower. I fell off the platform with the Goomba cutout.
Take 2- We make it to the Goomba cutout and a Magikoopa appears. We dodge the magic. Past that is another Magikoopa and three red rotating platforms. The second Star Coin is on the far one. After that are red rotating platforms with spike blocks. I fell off. I recommend collecting lots of coins.
Take 3- We get the Boomerang Flower and use boomerangs to take out the Magikoopas. At then end is a purple Airship. We pass the pipe with a Rocky Wrench and hop up to the Airship above. There's a red rotating platform with the third Star Coin and a Goomba cutout. We go into the green pipe. Yes, we have to battle both of them, at the same time. I got in two hits to Boom Boom and one to Pom Pom. To make the battle a little easier, Pom Pom stays on the red stage, while Boom Boom stays on the floor. I died from a boomerang.
Take 4- I got the first two Star Coins, the Boomerang Flower, and fell.
Take 5- I got the first Star Coin and the Boomerang Flower and fell.
Take 6- The gold block appears. See Take 5.
Take 7- We get all three Star Coins and a 1-up in an invisible block above the purple part next to the rotating platform with the third Star Coin. I got in one hit each before dying from a boomerang.
Take 8- See Take 4.
Take 9- All three Star Coins. I got in two hits each and died from running into Pom Pom.
Take 10- I got all three Star Coins and took out Pom Pom. The stage dropped, and I got two hits into Boom Boom until he hit me.
Take 11- The P-Wing appeared. See Take 5.
Take 12- See Take 4.
Take 13- All three Star Coins. I hit Boom Boom and hit Pom Pom's boomerang.
Take 14- See Take 4.
Take 15- See Take 4.
Take 16- I got all three Star Coins and beat them both. A good strategy is to hit one, then the other soon after. As one goes into their shell cycle, the other should be coming out of theirs. Pom Pom was defeated first and makes a lot of coins. The stage drops and we get in the last hit to Boom Boom. He makes coins and a green pipe appears. We go through the green pipe, get a clock, and reach the flagpole. Glad that's over.

Mario runs into the night, but this time, there are dragons flying around. There are volcanos in the background. The envelope has a picture of Bowser sitting on his throne with Peach beside him in a cage with pink ribbon. Shaking makes Bowser's head nod and tilting makes Peach's cage swing. Mario nodes and runs into the next world.

Super Mario 3D Land: 7-4

We find ourselves inside a clock where a remix of the Super Mario 3D Land music plays. There are spinning gears everywhere. We miss our jump to the swing.
Take 2- See Take 1.
Take 3- See Take 1.
Take 4- We jump to the swing and a pole. We jump off the pole to the left for the first Star Coin, timing it so we land on the swing. We take a green ferris wheel and go into the wall. There are Monty Moles walking around. We need to go through the doorway on the right. I fell off near the second Star Coin.
Take 5- We get a Tanooki Suit and the first Star Coin. We wall jump off the wall near the orange Mystery Block for the second Star Coin. We warp to the midpoint. We hop onto a partial gear, then some clock hands. Beware of falling Tanooki Bob-ombs. I got the Red Coins, but fell off.
Take 6- The gold block appears. The clock hands with the blue clock also has the third Star Coin. Wait for a hand to rotate under it to get it. We hop from hand to hand to the left, then forward to a ferris wheel to the flagpole.

Super Mario 3D Land: 7-3

We need 70 Star Coins to unlock this level, which isn't a problem, as we have 113 Star Coins. It's a nighttime level with tightropes and Super Mario 3 music. We hop up the tightropes, dodging Fuzzies, but dying from a fireball from a Fire Piranha.
Take 2- We climb up, dropping down from a high tightrope down to a lower one, collecting the first Star Coin on the way. It is to the right. We warp using the orange Mystery Box. We died trying to reach Coin Heaven using the purple blocks by a fireball.
Take 3- We fell off.
Take 4- We reach Coin Heaven. We get a Starman and run through enemies for a 1-up. The second Star Coin is at the end. We land at the midpoint and use the binoculars to find five Toads who drop a couple of Super Shrooms. We warp to more tightrope climbing. We jump up from a short tightrope for the third Star Coin. Here, the Fuzzies are moving along a white track, so be aware of where they are. We carefully climb up, avoiding enemies flying around the tightropes. We warp and hit purple blocks for a 1-up at the flagpole.

Super Mario 3D Land: 7-2

We start in a room of stone with rolling spikes on chains. We die from a Chomp.
Take 2- We take a hit from a Chomp and hit the red ! block above its post. It forms stairs to the alcove with the first Star Coin. We dodge more rolling spikes to a door to the midpoint. We have to dodge rolling spikes on blue and pink platforms that tilt, making the spikes roll. On dropping platforms is the second Star Coin. We reach the end of the tilting bridge and walk up the stairs and around the corner. There are two Chomps, as well as more rolling spikes, and regular spikes. Over the spikes is the third Star Coin. We reach the stairs to the door. Behind the stairs are some coins. Beyond the door are tilting platforms to the flagpole, one of which has a rolling spike.

Super Mario 3D Land: 7-1

We start off on dry land and can see the goal across a river. The flagpole is fenced in, so we can't just jump over the river. The green pipe on our side is fake, but breaking it reveals coins that lead the coins over the water. We jump in and sink to the bottom. There are Cheep-Cheep swimming around. We go right, then double back to the left. Behind the six crates is the first Star Coin. Hitting the P-Switch lowers a rock, allowing us to progress. We pass two Porcu-Puffers to a green pipe. The room has lots of coins. We swim up after leaving the green pipe and reach the midpoint. Instead of moving forward, we find the third Star Coin by diving down past the three eels, moving to the right, swimming up, and finding it in a tunnel. The area has a current. We swim up to a green pipe to the flagpole.
Take 2- We take the same path to the third Star Coin and find the second Star Coin in an alcove over the tail of the lowest eel. Wait until the eel swims forwards, then swim behind it, then up. The alcove is between two eels, so swim carefully. We reach the flagpole.

Super Mario 3D Land: 6-4 -- Step to the Beep Part 2

We hear a familiar whistle when we start this level. Ahead of us are three platforms: blue, yellow, and pink. They appear with the higher-pitched beep and disappear with the lower-pitched one in the above order. We cross them, hop over a walking Thwomp, and hop over some more forming stairs. I died from the spiky enemies.
Take 2- We reach the door, but jump from the top of a walking Thwomp to a ledge with the first Star Coin. We go through the door to find more blocks and walking Thwomps. At the top of the stairs is another door with the second Star Coin above it. Outside is the midpoint. We get a Tanooki Suit from Red Coins. The third Star Coin is above the block with the spike bar. It hit me and I fell off.
Take 3- I fell after getting the third Star Coin.
Take 4- See Take 3.
Take 5- See Take 3.
Take 6- The gold block appeared. We get the third Star Coin and a Tanooki Suit. We then have to dodge swinging spike bars with the platforms as a safety net. We get a 1-up at the flagpole.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii 7-Castle QSC

The 2nd Star Coin is found in a pipe between two pillars after the midgate. The room is covered in fog and pillars will cut through periodically. The Star Coin is to the right in the corner near the pipe. The 3rd Star Coin is above an item block. I wall-jumped to get it. It's close to the boss door.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii 7-6 -- Beetle Hopping with Yoshi

This is somewhat like 5-5, but giant Parabuzzy Beetles replace the manta rays and you get Yoshi to help you. It's also an automatic sidescroller. The larger Beetles will descend when you stand on them and the smaller Beetles will ascend. All of them will squeak when you land on them and they can hurt you. Soon after you get Yoshi, who's in block hidden in the fog, there will be no ground to stand on and you have to platform using the Beetles. I got the 1st Star Coin by standing on one of the larger Buzzy Beetle and waiting for it to descend onto the Star Coin. I gotthe 2nd Star Coin by standing on the 4th smaller Beetle in a row of 6. It will ascend so you can reach the Star Coin. Afterwards, 1-ups will fall out of the sky. Catch them if you can. I got the 3rd Star Coin by riding the last larger Beetle down to the Star Coin. I went down the green pipe to reach the goal, which opens up a secret path to the Castle, that takes you in just before the boss door.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii 7-5 QSC

In the area past the midgate with 3 Foos standing on parts of rock, a Paragoomba with Microgoombas, and a red Koopa, I got the 3rd Star Coin. I just walked through the rock wall where the first Foo was and found the Star Coin there.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii 7-4 QSC

I got the 1st Star Coin by bouncing off a Banzai Bill at the end of the first part of the level. When near the 2nd Star Coin, I tilted left to make all of the platforms line up. I jumped to the Star Coin and landed on the tilt platform below. At the end of the 3rd part of the level, I bounced off of a Bullet Bill into the red pipe above. The 3rd Star Coin is at the top of a staircase of Bill Blasters. I got it, took damage, and made it to the goal after going through the next red pipe.
