I skipped the Thwomp mission to get an easier mission. As the title suggests, stopping time is a good idea. Doing this with the parts moving would be frustrating. The Red Coins are located behind where you started, past the Bob-ombs. They are above some rectangular platforms that would be flipping if time was in. I found it was best that I backflipped at an angle to get to the next level and the Red Coin. The platforms are on an angle due to the corner where they're located, so we have to backflip on an angle. The Star appears on the grate below. There is a heart in case you fall a lot.

We stopped time for this mission. The Red Coins are behind where we started, but there are no Bob-ombs. There is also a heart in case you fall. The Star is on the grate, to the left of the platform.
