This Star is also accessible to the left of the hub. We take the same path as in Swingin' in the Breeze up until the path forks and we can go to thge left to the steps or straight ahead. This time we go straight ahead. There is a triangular platform between two sets of dropaway platforms. After you climb one side, you may slide down the other. Slow down to avoid falling off, which is really easy to do here. You don't have much room to stop. There is another flame spewing rock to pass and we end up on a large platform with several pyramids and a switch. Stepping on the switch will cause the pyramids to invert, revealing a flat surface to walk on. There is a time limit, so move quickly. The path towards the hub is the path you want to take for the Star. The other path leads to a 1-up. Quickly backflip from the fourth pyramid and you'll find the Star on a stone at the end of the path.

The pyramids are in the same location as in the N64 version, so go left from the hub. Go straight when the path forks near the steps. We survived the triangular platform and jumped over the flames spewing from the rock. We land on an area with a switch and pyramids. As in the N64 version, it's fastest to backflip from the fourth pyramid to the path to the Star. There still is a time limit, so move quickly. The Star is on a keyhole-shaped rock.
