This mission is unique to the Nintendo DS.
You'll want to be Mario for this mission. As the title suggests, this Star is in the big house, so we go right at the hub and right when the carpet's path forks. After the carpet enters and exits the house once, get off on the balcony. There will be a long platform made of wood with a Star Switch at its end. The Star appears on the roof. Inside the house is a Power Flower that will make Mario into a balloon. I just missed it, so I dropped down to step on the switch again. I got it the second time, long-jumping to reach the house faster. Follow the ascending rainbow that makes up the carpet's path so you can line yourself up to go through the roof.

We are now done with the last course in the game! All we have to do is get a few more secret Stars, and then, we'll tackle Bowser!
