New Super Mario Bros. Wii: 4- Ghost House -- First Ghostly Encounter

Darn. I actually have to go through a Ghost House level. I never liked these on the New Super Mario Bros (DS) because the map on the touch screen that shows your position relative to the goal is blocked by Boos. That was a relatively good idea for some non-linear levels, but it made knowing the goal's location difficult. This level has lots of Boos and some rats. The item blocks also swing along slowly, making them harder to hit. There are also platforms early in the level that either raise or lower when you stand on them. We frequently hit Boos because they were in the way and avoiding them was difficult on the moving platforms. We had difficulty moving past the first area because the door was blocked off by blocks that could not be ground-pounded. I stood on the nearby platform and it rose. I jumped, and the screen lit up the area that I thought was the ceiling. There is a P-switch up there, which I activated to get rid of the blocks so we could continue. An arrow of silver coins points to the door. Gathering all silver coins also earns applause. After that, there are several rats and some coins and item blocks. Yellow Toad slid down the slopes to kill off some rats, but was hit by one while sliding up. We ran to the goal, but made it out alive.
