The bros exit the dungeon through the pipe to the Twinsy Tropics, a tropical paradise where there are many Koopas. One Toad doesn't know where they are and wants to return to Peach's Castle. The Toads agree to scope out the area in the meanwhile as thanks for saving them. There's a Toad Village to the west, but many Toads are too scared to venture out there, due to the Koopas. Go east and you'll find a dead end with a Grab Pole. Use the Trio Grab to grab the pole across the gap to reach a new area. Walk to the south and you'll see a rock formation with a gap. Send Paper Mario through for an item block with an accessory for him. There's a donut-shaped area to the east with coins and Supersyrup Jars. Walk around for more item blocks with coins. Return to previous area.
Battle the Koopas and head west. Send Paper Mario through the gap for another accessory, this time for Mario and Luigi. Nearby is a Toad with a quiz. He's pondering the other side of the ocean, so he'll quiz you later. Go north to the Toad Village. There are more Koopas here. Walk to the west to the dock and you'll find a sad Paper Toad who wants to fold up into a boat and sail home. He notices the bros and is startled, as that soliloquy was private. Mario expresses interest in crossing the sea and the Paper Toads says he could make a boat. He needs more Toads and there's a Lakitu Info Center to the east. In the red Toad House, talk to the pensive Toad and he'll say some Toads didn't make it out of the dungeon. Offer to save them and you'll be warped there.
The Toads are freaking out. They must be corralled into the safe zone within the time limit of three minutes. There are blocks you can hit to add time. Clear out the ores and build bridges to herd the Toads. It can be a little tricky, but you'll need to clear out most of the ore, as Toads are hiding behind it. Back in the village, there are three shops. The green shop sells Battle Cards. Go east and you'll find Cheep-Cheeps and Urchins to battle. The Urchins won't attack, but if you do, they'll explode. Guard with (X). At the Lakitu Info Center, which is brand new, there are a couple of missions.
The first one is Tropical Paper Toad Hunt. Some are held by enemies, some must be chased, and others are trapped in bubbles. Approach the bubbles to make them lift in the air, then activated the orange spring platform to pop them. If they don't lift into the air, use Trio Grab. Sometimes, just being in Trio Grab's tower formation is enough. Others are hiding past the gaps in rocks. Flip over rocks with Trio Hammer to find more. For the ones in bubbles on the east side, dash when the bubble is close to the ground. Fly Guy Patrol involves rescuing the Paper Toads without being spotted by Fly Guys. You can be spotted twice without failing, but you'll be placed back at the start. Just follow the path. Once you save them all, there are enough to make a boat.
I decided to go east first, but you can't go very far. Meet the Paper Toads at the dock. They've built an impressive ship and are thrilled to get off the island. They won't be riding in the boat; the Lakitu will take them to Peach's Castle. Before they set sail, Luigi invites on the Toads from the dungeon. Paper Mario becomes the sail and they get underway. Unfortunately, one Toad is left behind. They dock in Sunbeam Plains. The Toads notice the changes and say to check out Peach's Castle.
Use the Trio Grab to cross the water. There are Monty Moles here. They throw rocks while getting closer to the bros. Keep going west and you'll find a Lakitu Info Center. The Lakitu the bros met outside Peach's Castle is here. He says the pipe in the Info Center is open. It leads to an arcade. You can redo boss and papercraft battles, or put your Bros./Trio Attack skills to the test for points to use in the gear shops. Go west when you're ready. A Toad will appear when you cross the river. Something's happened at Peach's Castle. The bros should go see for themselves.

Super Princess Peach: Ladida Plains -- 1-9
There are Angry Goombas and Koopas in the first area. Jump over the gaps and go through the pipe at the end. This leads to a Subrella course. There are Urchins and Bloopers, as well as fire bars and Blurps.
The pipe at the end leads to a hazy area. Use a cyclone to increase visibility, but the haze will not harm you. Drop down the pipe the Piranha Plant to get some coins. Near the pipe on the far right is a puzzle piece under some blocks. Pound the blocks to get it. The pipe leads to a few Thwomps and the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Bowser's Villa -- 8-3
Get the Vibe Crystal and start running using the Gloom Vibe. There are Boos that will chase you over the donut lifts over the lava. They'll disappear once they run into the light. Go through the pipe.
There are Bob-ombs and walking cannons, as well as platforms with spikes on the side. Be careful when trying to use them. Beware of the many Thwomps in the area. Past the second spiked platform, to the right, is a set of purple platforms. Climb up them, then walk left for a Toad. Drop down and run left, dodging Thwomps, to reach a pipe.
The pipe leads to a rope course. Jump over the enemies so they do not bump you off the course.
Go through the pipe at the end of the rope course and you'll drop down in front of a Toad. Go up, then drop down near the Spinies, then use the Gloom Vibe to push the metal ball. Take the spiked platforms to the top, then pound the blocks in front of the door to reach a puzzle piece. Go through the door.
Through the door is a Thwomp in the background and some Peach statues. Duck when it wakes up to avoid damage. The door leads to a dark room with many crystals and Angry Boos. Use the Rage Vibe to create some light. Go through the pipe to the upper left.
This leads to a Subrella course with fire bars, Torpedo Teds, Bloopers, Blurps, and Urchins. Take the pipe on the right.
Go to the right, across the blue donut lifts to find a Toad. Drop down to the door. (The door on the left leads to some coins, hearts, and crystals.)
Use the Podoboos to light the torches and open the door. It leads to fire bars, lava, and the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Gleam Glacier -- 6-5
There are lots of spikes in the first area, some below the cracked blocks under some large blocks. The spring leads to blocks with lots of coins. Do not try to fly near the spring. Drop down near the ladder to reach the pipe.
The pipe leads to a Subrella course. There are Blurps, Urchins, and lots of spikes. The pipe at the end leads to dry land, but with slippery slopes. Pound the purple blocks to find a pipe below. Use the giant springs, then pound through the blocks. Burn the icicles above to find a puzzle piece. Take the pipe to the right. It takes you back to the previous area. Use the springs to reach the pipe on the right.
That pipe takes you to an automatically scrolling area. Past the Hammer Bro are falling icicles and cracked blocks. Cross the spikes and you'll find a door.
In this area, drop down and burn some icicles to find a Toad. Drop down on the right side and go through the pipe.
Drop down and freeze the floor. Hit both pink blocks to reach a Toad past a Hammer Bro. Above the Toad is a Paragoomba dropping Microgoombas. Slide to the pipe.
The pipe takes you to the previous area, but in a place you couldn't reach before. Melt the icicles, then go through the door.
After you go through the door, two giant seals will appear nearby. Use fire to beat them. Use the giant spring to reach a yellow ball of fluff. Use the cyclone on the fluff to reach a Toad. Run and duck. Drop down and go past another seal to find the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Wavy Beach -- 5-3
This level is a bit of a maze. There are two dark blue waterfalls at the start of the first area, so use the giant spring to reach the blue ! Switches above them. You must hit both. Drop down, dodge the Walking Piranha Plant, and jump up to the pipe on the right.
There are Spinies here. Hit the ! Switch on the ground, then walk to the right to the wall with arrows. Ride the top arrow to the left to reach a Toad, then ride another farther left to two pipes. Stand close to the arrow and duck to reach the pipes. The left pipe will take you to a puzzle piece. The right pipe will take you to an area with a Lakitu and an Angry Pokey.
There is quicksand in this area. Go through the pipe on the far left. There are Bullet Bills in this area. There's a heart and a crystal above past a windmill and Angry Pokey. Go through the pipe on the left.
Drop down to the water spout and use the cyclone to save a Toad. Go back through the pipe you came through. Back track to the area with the Angry Pokey, Nippers, and quicksand.
Go past the Nippers to the right and go through the pipe. Drop down and you'll find a Toad guarded by sand. Remove the sand with the Gloom Vibe. The pipe below will take you to an automatically scrolling Subrella level.
Here, there are Bloopers, Blurps, Angry Blurps, and Torpedo Teds. There's a section of Urchins as well. The pipe will take you to dry land near the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Wavy Beach -- 5-2
Slide down the hill partway, then fly up, so you can reach a few pipes with Koopas walking around between them. Use the shell to get lots of coins, hearts, and crystals. Drop down, then run and duck to an area with a pipe spewing beach balls. Hit the beach balls around to get rid of the blocks in front of you. You can now reach some coins. You can go over where the Koopas are and drop down to the pipe.
There's a sleeping Hammer Bro. Walk quietly with [L] or [R] so you can sneak around. There are more Hammer Bros in this area, along with quicksand. When you reach the water, fly up, then use the giant spring to reach a water spout. Use the cyclone to make the water spout drop down and you can reach a Toad. Jump into the spout to get back to dry land. Drop down to the water and you'll find a new ability under a pipe. It's called Subrella, turning Perry into a submarine. Float higher with (A), and blow into the mic to spew bubbles to attack enemies. Go through the pipe on the right.
This will take you underwater. Bubbles work on the green fish called Blurps, but not the Urchins. Collect coins, then go through the pipe on the right.
This part of the level can be a little challenging. There are several alcoves in the ground which allow you to get out of the way of the endless stream of Chomps. There is a pipe at the end.
That pipe leads to an area with quicksand and Pokeys. Burn the bridge ahead to find a Toad. Use the cyclone on the water spout, then jump up the platforms to the pipe, dealing with the Volcano Plant.
In this area, some pools of quicksand have areas underneath them. The first one leads to a puzzle piece. The second one leads to a pipe. The third one leads to a Toad. Go through the pipe below the sand to go to the next area.
There are moving pink clouds here that will bump you in the direction you hit it. Fly if you need to. The goal is at the end.

New Super Luigi U: Sparkling Waters-5 -- Dragoneel Depths
It's time to deal with Dragoneels again. Take the pipe underwater. The first Dragoneel will appear from the left. It will not follow you as closely. To the right, on the shelf on the rocks are a group of Urchins guarding the first Star Coin. Kill them to get is. Fireballs will work. Swim up and you'll see blocks and crates moving in circles. The second Star Coin is in the center of some circling crates with Urchins. Swim carefully to get it. Swim to the upper right and you'll see a green pipe. Ignore the green pipe and let the Dragoneel kill the giant Urchin to the left. This will let you take a pipe to the third Star Coin and the flag. The green pipe leads only to the flag.

New Super Luigi U: Sparkling Waters-2 -- Urchin Reef Romp
The main part of the level is underwater, but before you take the pipe underwater, run past the pipe, wall jump up, then run to the left for the first Star Coin. Go through the pipe to go underwater. You'll find giant and small Urchins, as well as Cheep-Cheeps. There are lots of currents in this level. The second Star Coin is in a current, under a giant Urchin. The third Star Coin is guarded by Urchins, so use a Fire Flower to kill them, then get it. Hit the P-Switch for Silver Coins through the series of giant Urchins to the pipe that leads to the flag.

New Super Mario Bros. U: Superstar Road-3 -- Swim for Your Life!
This level is not as fast-paced as Superstar Road-2, but it is still hectic. It's an underwater level with a giant, man-eating Cheep-Cheep chasing you the entire way. You'll want a Fire Flower here to keep it in check. The giant Cheep-Cheep will knock Urchins and all other enemies out of its path, and try to eat Mario. You'll want to keep firing a few fireballs to the left every few seconds to keep it away. The first Star Coin is guarded by Urchins. Either use fireballs, or lure the giant Cheep-Cheep into knocking them out of the way for you. Same goes for the wall of Urchins to the right. Past the wall of Urchins is a set of currents. Some Urchins are floating in the currents, as well as the second Star Coin. It will hang out near the ceiling or the floor, out of reach, then move periodically to the other side. Be in the currents when it moves to collect it. Past it is a wall of Cheep-Cheep and an item block between two pipes. Homing blue Cheep-Cheep will appear and swim behind you, so don't stop swimming. Now you can leave the giant Cheep-Cheep alone for a while, as it will get rid of the blue Cheep-Cheep for you. At the end, feel free to use fireballs to get rid of it. The third Star Coin is just below the pipe at the end, guarded by Urchins. Use fireballs to get rid of them or have the giant Cheep-Cheep do that for you. Once you have the Star Coin, swim through the pipe and go to the flagpole.

New Super Mario Bros. U: Rock-Candy Mines-2 -- Porcupuffer Falls
To access this level, hit the red switch for the blocks that make a path to it. Take the pipe to part of the level which is underwater. The Porcupuffer will appear soon to make your life miserable. If you've got a Fire Flower, you can get rid of it for a few seconds. Swim up and get out of the water. There's a sign with an arrow pointing down. There's an invisble block on the right wall nearby. Use it to go up and over, and drop to the first Star Coin. Make sure the Porcupuffer's not directly below you. Go past the Cheep-Cheep and the pipes with currents. There's a Red Coin Ring before the midpoint. Between two red pipes are Urchins and the second Star Coin. Get it carefully. Above the random item block is an invisible block with a vine. It leads to some coins and allows you to drop down to the third Star Coin. The pipe nearby, at the end, will take you to the flagpole. This opens the path to the Fort and a set of two switches.

New Super Mario Bros. U: Sparkling Waters-4 -- Urchin Shoals
This level is filled with Urchins. Making things challenging is the fact that some of the Urchins are on waterspouts. Take some donut lifts down to the level of the Urchins and hit the brick block for a Mini Mushroom. Run along the water for the first Star Coin, then keep running up a waterspout to a mini pipe overhead. This leads to the second Star Coin. Just run to get it. Return to the main level and go a short distance to reach the midpoint. There are a series of Urchins over waterspouts that are under a platform. Use the Koopa shell to clear the Urchins for a 1-up. When the waterspouts appear, run over them to the left for a pipe. This leads to an underwater area where three giant Urchins guard the third Star Coin. There are more waterspouts with Urchins, as well as Red Coins. Jump over the Urchins at the end to reach the flag. This opens the path to Sparkling Waters-5.

New Super Mario Bros. U: Sparkling Waters-2 -- Tropical Refresher
This level starts outside, but you'll take the pipe to an underwater level. There are Cheep-Cheep and Bloopers here, as well as Urchins. Many of the pipes have currents, and some of the pipes move. Arcs of coins appear from some red pipes, then disappear. Under the first Urchin is a Red Coin Ring in an invisible area. The first Star Coin appears along a set of three pipes. It will appear along the pipes, then disappear into the void, then reappear. Past the giant Urchin is the midpoint. There are two giant Urchins over a vortex with a rock in it. Between them is an invisible ? Switch which makes coins appear from above, including the second Star Coin. There's a green pipe under an Urchin, which leads to a Starman. Quickly return to the main level and go down the next green pipe. While you still have the power, drop down and kill the giant Urchin. Below it is the third Star Coin over a vortex. Follow the Cheep-Cheep to the pipe to the flagpole. This opens the path to a 1-up Mushroom House and the Fort.

New Super Mario Bros. 2: Mushroom-2
It's time to go swimming again. Go through the green pipe and start the level. It's an automatic sidescroller with Urchins and rock that will move out of the way rather slowly. A Fire Flower is great here to destroy the Urchins. The path will briefly fork near the floor, so drop down to reach the first Star Coin. You will be temporarily trapped until the rock in front of you moves. Next, the rocks in the floor will rise to alter the path the Urchins will take. This will lead to the midpoint and a random item block with a Gold Flower. There are some Red Coins nearby, but you need to deal with Urchins to get them. As you progress, you'll find Urchins trapped by rocks that are released from above and below. Be careful here. Swim up into the second alcove once the Urchin descends to get the second Star Coin. Immediately after that area, go through the green pipe above. Quickly swim up to avoid giant green Cheep-Cheep and get the third Star Coin at the top before rocks close in over it. Go through the green pipe to reach the flagpole. If you have a Gold Flower and do not go through the green pipe to the third Star Coin, you'll find a blue pipe blocked by brick blocks. It will take you to an area with brick blocks so you can make lots of coils. It will lead you to the same flagpole.

New Super Mario Bros. 2: 3-A
This level costs 5 Star Coins to unlock. The item block has a powerup. Going into the water will make coins appear over the log. Hop out of the water with the strong current and land on the pipe, then go get them. Take the pipe underwater. There are strong currents in the water, so there's no going back. The P-Switch makes Silver Coins. Follow the arrows to avoid the Cheep-Cheep, especially those in a diagonal line. Rocks will split the path. Stay towards the top to get the first Star Coin, then immediately go down to avoid Cheep-Cheep. Take the red pipe at the end down. Go down the small vortext in the gap to the left for the second Star Coin. Use the ? Switch to stop the currents and get the Starman. Otherwise, you'll find a maze of currents. Go down, up the center to the top, right, down to the middle, and right. You'll reach the midpoint and an item block with a powerup. Go up the red pipe. The current will push you upward past some Urchins, then right. If you have a Gold Flower (and you can get on in the random item block just before the current changes directions), you can reach the blue pipe overhead for coins. Otherwise, steer carefully, especially if you want to get the Red Coins. The path ahead is littered with Urchins. The ceiling level will change, which is where you'll find the third Star Coin. It is at a point where the ceiling is lower. Urchins guard it on either side. When Urchins line both the floor and ceiling in one area, you're near the pipe to the flag pole. That was nerve-wracking.

Time to go swimming! Take the pipe underwater. In this level, you'll find a periodic vortex here and there. The level is also crawling with Urchins, so take them out with fireballs. Making your life difficult are some snake platforms that get in your way, and can possibly crush you. The first Star Coin is in the second vortex. Wait until the vortex goes away to get it. If you have a Fire Flower, there's a fire pipe that will make coins in bubbles, as well as a Starman, if you give it enough fireballs. Avoid the giant Cheep-Cheep and reach the midpoint. If, by chance, you have a Gold Flower, destroy the brick blocks over the magenta pipe. It will take you to an area with lots of brick blocks so you can make lots of coins. Go down the yellow pipe with one vortex on the left and another on the right. It will lead to several snake platforms, blue Cheep-Cheep and the second Star Coin. The P-Switch gives you several Silver Coins. Take out the blue Cheep-Cheep if you can; they'll chase you through the final part of the level, where you'll be dealing with snake platforms and Urchins floating up and down. The third Star Coin is in this area. The pipe at the end takes you to the flag.

Deep Dark Galaxy - Boo in a Box
Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
We land on a beach where the Ghostly Galaxy music plays. There is a Starshroom with a 1-up on top on the beach. In the center of the beach is a cannon. We hop in and aim at the Rainbow Star. We get it and land on a spherical plant crawling with pink Octoombas, run around and take them out, getting lots of Star Bits. Once the power runs out, we grab the Fire Flower and sling back down to the beach, landing on a palm tree and jumping down.
At one end of the beach is a gate flanked by two torches we must light. You may want to long-jump so you can light the torches before the power runs out. You can always use the cannon to go back to that planet to get another Fire Flower should you run out of power. Once we light the torches, the gate drops, giving us access to a pool in the back. The music changes. We dive into the pool, seeing Bloopers as we dive. There is a shelf with a Star Bit arrow, but we ignore is and dive to the bottom. We grab a shell and see a split shipwreck. We take the shell to the half that is surrounded by bombs. We fire the shell at the shipwreck and the bombs and wreck explode. This reveals a Launch Star. We must use the Launch Star before the bombs regenerate.
The Launch Star takes us out from under the planet into a purple box in space. The music played in Ghostly Galaxy's mansion plays here. There are a Boo and an Urchin inside. The Star is inside the Boo. We have no way to get the Star at this point, so we approach the wall with the pegs and use them to reach and spin the gravity arrow. The gravity switches and the Urchin and Boo follow. The Urchin will follow us around, trying to hit us. We use the spring to reach the gravity arrow and spin it again. Then, we use the water blaster to reach the gravity arrow and spin it. We land on the side of the box with a crystal. We break it to let in a beam of light and lead the Boo into it. The Boo explodes and the Star flies to the side of the cube we started on. We use the water blaster to shoot a water bubble to take us near the gravity arrow and spin it once more. We get the Star.
Star Get #85, 4 Coins, 1537 Star Bits, 11 Lives
Luigi
We land in the galaxy and talk to the Toad Brigade. Red Toad says, "We're currently on vaca... er... I mean, galactic survey duty! Please be patient with us." Green Toad says, "Cannon! Get all you can in the cannon!" We use the cannon, get the Rainbow Star, and take out the pink Octoombas. We get the Fire Flower and sling back to the beach. We light the torches and dive to the bottom of the pool. After getting the shell, we aim it at the half of the shipwreck surrounded by bombs. We launch into the box. We keep flipping around the box with the gravity arrows, until we break the crystal and let the light shine in. We lure the Boo into the light and flip to reach the Star. This took three tries because the Urchin kept killing me.

Freezeflame Galaxy - Hot and Cold Collide
Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
Noelle continues as my Co-Star. The ring planet is now a combination of ice and lava with solar flares flying over the planet. We go to the other side of the planet to find the Launch Star in crystal. We launch to an icy planet where the icy water level shifts like a tide. There are Urchins here. We can find a Life Shroom under one of the ice platforms. There are torches to light and a gear to spin on the opposite side. Spinning it lowers a door, giving us access to the other side of the planet, which is covered in lava, that also shifts like a tide. We walk around a grate to find more Urchins and a gear in the lava. We died from the lava.
Take 2- We spin the gear to lower the door, revealing a Fire Flower. We quickly go to the other side of the planet to light the torches for the Launch Star. This takes us to the path used to race Cosmic Mario, but some of the squares have lava on them. Fortunately, we have the Ice Flower, which freezes even lava, albeit temporarily. We skate our way to the Star, recharging the Ice Flower at every opportunity.

Once again, we launch to the icy planet and spin the gear to access the lava side. This time, I decided to backflip over the wall with the Fire Flower, but getting back over with the Fire Flower was a lot more difficult, because my spin merely shot fireballs. I made it over and lit the torches. I launched to the ice/ lava path and fell off a couple of times, and died from a Goomba. I long-jumped to the Star on Take 4.

Freezeflame Galaxy - Freezeflame's Blistering Core
Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
Once again, Noelle is our Co-Star. We land on the ring planet and get the Launch Star Chips in the crystals. We long-jump to the Launch Star once we have all five, but we can use the Pull Stars as well. We launch into a lava planet where the Freezeflame lava music plays. It looks like a bunch of ruins surrounded by lava. We backflip, wall-jump, and spin over the tall wall ahead of us. We could walk around it, but this way is a little faster. We get the ? Coin to make a Fire Flower appear. We light the torches on our side of the wall to make it go down. Then we light the torches to our left, dodging the urchins. We can set them on fire for Star Bits. If we get injured, we can't spin out the flames for coins. The area is so hot that the torch will relight itself. We get the Life Shroom under the tower near the other torch. We climb the tower and gravity flips us to the planet's "ceiling". The camera flips as well, so we see things right side up. We walk around platforms that will rotate us into the lava. We walk to an area where urchins come out of holes infinitely. Nearby is a door and some torches. We must use a nearby Fire Flower to light the torches, bouncing our fireballs off the lava. This is a little tricky and will take some practice to line up our shots correctly. Once we do, the door will lower and we'll flip once again.
This time, we see the Star behind a wall on the other side of a river of lava. The lava has a current that pushes platforms to the right. Also to the right, we'll find yet another Fire Flower. On either side of the Star are torches we have to light by bouncing fireballs off the lava again. We can use the floating platforms to allow us to hit it more easily. I died from the lava enemies in the area.
Take 2- I got the Star after lighting the torches and falling in repeatedly. Once the torches are lit, a platform extends and the door blocking the Star lowers. We hop on a moving platform and jump to the new platform to reach the Star.
Star Get #54, 2 Coins, 2313 Star Bits, 5 Lives

This took me two attempts without a Co-Star. We get the Launch Star Chips, launch, lower gates with the Fire Flower, and flip twice. We use fireballs to light the torches so we can reach the Star.

Beach Bowl Galaxy - Sunken Treasure
Welcome to the Galaxy!
Mario
We land on a bowl-shaped beach planet, where tropical music plays. There are lots of penguins here. We dive underwater and the music changes slgihtly. There are Launch Star Chips to collect: near the waterfall, over a rock, in a clamshell, in front of an eel, and in a crate. We launch to the top of the planet where there are Piranha Plants and Wigglers. The ? Coin makes musical notes that will give a 1-up if collected. We walk around the top of the planet and pound a switch to make a bridge to the 1-up and a higher level on the planet. We backflip and spin to the top of the planet, where we find the Star in crystal. There is also another switch so we can walk-jump up to the top of the planet.
Star Get #28, 4 Coins, 1375 Star Bits, 12 Lives
Interlude
We get a message: "Rosalina's library has opened! Now you can read the story book!" There is a hungry Luma.
Luigi
Once again, we land on the beach and dive for Star Chips. We launch to the top area of the planet. We got a 1-up from the musical notes. Unfortunately, we died from an Urchin.
Take 2- We get a 1-up from the musical notes and wall-jump to the Star, breaking the crystal.
Star Get #28, 4 Coins, 1236 Star Bits, 29 Lives
The library has opened and a hungry Luma appears.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii 4-1 QSC
I got the 1st Star Coin by freezing the Piranha Plant underneath it and rode the ice block and jumped from it to get it. I got the second Star Coin by freezing the second urchin after the midgate and using it as a platform to jump off of. I got the third Star Coin by freezing the last urchin before the end pipe so I could jump off it onto the ground and get the Star Coin at the end of the area.
