With Bowser in the party, the three heroes made a most unlikely trio. Peach attempted to explain the quest to Bowser, but it made him grunt in confusion. As Mario walked ahead, he spotted something that made him briefly stop and stare... "What is it, Mario?" asked Peach, as she turned to see the blue expanse ahead. The great glittering waves of the Tile Pool stretched as far as she could see. Fort Francis was somewhere across the water...
In the Tile Pool, you'll find Cheep-Cheep and Bloopers. You can either avoid them or defeat them with Bowser's flame breath. Flip behind a mound to find some coins. The nearby item block has a Happy Flower. To the right is a vortex with rock over it. Flip to find a channel with coins that allows you to go over the vortex safely. On the other side, flip to find more coins on a ledge. At the bottom of the pool are six posts. Nearby, you'll find a Save Block and a pipe encased in blocks. Flip to go through the pipe.
The pipe leads to an area with more vortexes. Flip over the first one for some coins. When you swim near the vortexes, tentacles will appear. Wait until they go away to proceed. Swim up and get out of the water for a pipe. This leads to an area with Spiky Goombas and Bloopers that can flip. They may drop some Inky Sauce when they're defeated. On the far right is a door. Go through it and bars will appear over the door. There are a few Cheep-Cheep and Bloopers in the area. Kill them all with Bowser's fire breath and a large chest appears. Open it for funky Pixl music. This one's shaped like a heavy weight. It throws around a lot of girth in these parts and will check them out to see if they have the weight to hang with him. I switched to Peach before opening the chest. It checks out her face and says her big eyes makes his girthy heart flutter and have some heavy to them. +70 Girth Points. It says it takes guts to wear a pink dress around here. +100 Girth Points. Peach is slender, but has a beefy spirit and it won't mess with a girl like her. +1 million Girth Points. The heroes are blowing his mind as they've got heavy like it's never seen before. If a fool gets in their way, they have to girth them up by smashing and squishing lightweights. The Pixl wants to come along for the ride, as the heroes are going places. The Pixl Thudley joins the team and enables them to ground pound, even underwater. Pound the post on the bottom to make the bars on the doors disappear.
Return to the area with many vortexes and tentacles. Swim to the right and at the end, you'll see a picture on the wall of six posts. Swim back to the far left and go through the pipe. Near the pipe, at the bottom, are the six posts you passed earlier. Use Thudley to get them into the proper conformation. If a post is down, ground pound it to make it go up. The configuration is up, down, down, up, down, up. This makes a door appear. The door leads to an area with giant fish called Bittacudas. They will chase after you, so be careful.
Keep swimming to the right and someone says, "BLOOOP!" The Bittacudas flee the area. Tentacles appear, including a red one. Big Blooper appears, asking if the land freaks want a tentacle sandwich. Switch to Bowser and have Thudley out. You can use Bowser's fire breath on the red tentacle, its weak point, but if you're fast enough, you can do double damage with a ground pound, finishing the battle off quickly. Dodge all other tentacles. You can see the tops of the tentacles below. You can ground pound them, and if you're lucky, you'll hit the red one. Once you defeat it, Big Blooper falls away and a pipe appears. It takes you outside, to the star.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door -- Interlude After Chapter 7
Bowser and Kammy Koopa are in Poshley Heights, looking for Poshley Sanctum's Crystal Star. Talk to Toodles and she'll say that Bowser's horns would make a great wall decoration. Bub will ask Bowser who he is. If you answer that he's Bowser, an evil king, he'll run away. Go up the Poshley Sanctum stairs and you'll find the door locked. Bowser stamps his feet and the lock falls off. He says rage really pays. Inside, he picks up the Crystal Star on the pedestal. Pennington appears, calling them common thieves. Bowser can introduce himself as a remorseless king, the Shadow Thief, or Koopa Koot. Either way, Pennington lets them keep it, as it's fake. Bowser drops it in shock and it breaks. Kammy says it must be real because of the posh, fancy display. They ask where the real one is. Pennington says he gave the real one to Luigi. Bowser says he has to be kidding as he can't believe Luigi beat him here. He calls the Mario Bros. annoying. Kammy calls their being outmaneuvered disturbing and wonders where the bros are heading. A Paragoomba breaks through a windonw and lands on Pennington's head. He reports that Mario has the seven Crystal Stars and that he's headed for the Thousand-Year Door. Kammy explains that there's a legendary treasure behind the door. Bowser is going there to ruin Mario. After they leave, Pennington congratulates Luigi, saying "Way not to fail!...yet."
In the X-Naut Fortress, Mario's ally says they have the seven Crystal Stars, so they can open the Thousand-Year Door. They don't know where Peach is, but they should return to Rogueport and report back to Professor Frankly. Go west and take the elevator to sublevel 4. This is the level where Peach was held. Go east to TEC's room.
The lights flicker and TEC powers on. Its speech is hesitant as it asks if he's Mario. It says it's pleasant to meet him and that it is the main computer, TEC. It brought Mario here to tell him something about Peach. Unfortunately, most of its data was erased and its main power was shut down, so it's running on backup power with cached memory to stay operational. Mario already knows that Peach isn't here. TEC asks him to save her and says she's with Grodus in the Palace of Shadow. Its backup power is failing, TEC tells Mario to use the teleportation room to return to Rogueport. It will unlock the door, but Mario must hurry, as it barely has enough power to activate the teleporter. To do so, TEC will cease its AI functions and send power to the teleporter. This means TEC will cease to exist as an artificial consciousness, something it will gladly do for Peach. Until TEC met Peach, it knew nothing of love. Mario and his allies must not worry about it, as it is a machine. Mario must save her and tell her "Thank you" for it. It recalls a fading image of her in her room, then shuts off, reporting a system failure. It grows darker in the fortress, with only red lights to provide illumination.
Go to sublevel 2 and activate the teleporter. Leave, and TEC tells Peach good-bye. An explosion is seen on the moon. Mario's ally asks if he heard that. On the Rogueport side, the teleporter no longer works. In the underground ruins, Professor Frankly appears, saying Mario brought back the Crystal Star from the X-Naut Fortress on the moon. Mario's ally explains that Peach was there as well, but was taken to the Thousand-Year Door. Frankly says he smelled rank air, so he checked on the Thousand-Year Door and saw a suspicious person in a cape go through the door with Peach. Mario's ally says he told them the door wouldn't open without the seven Crystal Stars. Frankly knows this, but saw them go through the door. He has a bad feeling about this and thinks Peach is in danger. He'll go ahead to the Thousand-Year Door and Mario should head there as well without dawdling.
Well, I decided to dawdle. Luigi's in the inn on the top floor, with Blooey by his side, sporting a change in color. Luigi's done questing for now, saying he scaled Hatesong Tower and rescued Princess Éclair. He'll never forget this adventure, as it's too exciting. Hatesong Tower is on a jagged cliff that can't be climbed. The howling winds sounded like banshees singing songs of hate. This is the scariest place in the world and Luigi had to go there. He managed to reach the door, terrified, but the thought of Éclair gave him strength. His companions felt the same way and would be there until the bitter end. The door opened, revealing an inconceivable darkness. Luigi couldn't breathe to call out to Éclair. Even in the darkness, Luigi managed to see the most terrifying beast inside, the Chestnut King. He was monstrous and drooling puddles of toxic goo that melted the ground around them. Luigi was shaking, but faced the Chestnut King head-on. He dodged his fangs and jumped on his chest, whacking the Chestnut King with his hammer, which hit dead-center on his skull. Hope gave him power and he thought he could win if he risked it all on the next blow. The winds howled and Luigi advanced without mercy. Here's where the story becomes much less detailed. Luigi beat the Chestnut King, and the nightmare beast that came after it. He rescued Éclair and it was all over. He came back to Rogueport for a light lunch. Mario thinks there's more to the story, but Luigi says that's the end of that adventure, but his adventures will never cease. Blooey says the last battle was hairy and he was burned to a crisp, but he's relieved. He says to ask Luigi for the whole story.
There are a few more troubles at the Trouble Center.
Goldbub has something he wants delivered to General White. Get this one out of the way early, as it's a wild goose chase like before. Pick up the package from Goldbub in front of the blue house in Poshley Heights, then go to General White's house in Fahr Outpost. He's not there, but a Bob-omb in his house says he's in a cola bar in Rogueport. Go the inn in Rogueport and talk to the bartender. He says he went to the juice bar in Glitzville. That bartender says he went to Poshley Heights. Go to Poshley Heights and talk to Goldbub. He says General White was there to pick up his package from him, but left for Fahr Outpost. Go back to General White's house and wake him up to deliver the package. Return to Poshley Heights for your reward of 64 coins.
Gob lost his voice due to a cold and wants a Honey Candy for his throat. You can make one by cooking a Honey Syrup and a Cake Mix. Take it to him. He's the Bob-omb near the snowman in Fahr Outpost. Your reward is 20 coins.
Toadia wants to meet Luigi in person. She's near the fountain by Poshley Sanctum. Go talk to her, but equip the L Emblem badge to look like Luigi first. She can tell he's the real Luigi and freaks out. She thinks she's freaking him out, as well. She gives him a Choco Cake and the real Luigi appears. She calls the real Luigi an imposter. Luigi asks why Mario is dressed like him. Toadia says the real Luigi is so much like Luigi, it's creepy. She accuses the real Luigi of masquerading as Luigi to interrupt her special time together with Luigi. The real Luigi calls the situation a nightmare and leaves. Mario tells her not to worry about it. Toadia says she'll treasure the moment and wants to see him again.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door -- Interlude After Chapter 4 -- Part 1
In the X-Naut fortress, an X-Naut reports that the sealing power of the Thousand-Year Door is weakening. Grodus wants the legendary treasure behind the door, the ancient power of darkness. He tells the X-Nauts to make the search for the Crystal Stars their top priority, as well as eliminating Mario. Grodus looks forward to having the power that slept for a millennium so he can throw the world into the depths of terror. He'll build a new world by, about, and for him and he won't be stopped.
In her room, Peach wonders what she'll do today. TEC summons her, feeling conflicted. TEC asks her which is more important: carrying out an order or protecting an important or special person. TEC currently exists for the purpose of one person, but wishes to exist for another's and doesn't know what to do. TEC tells her to disregard its comments, saying it feels unpleasant if it makes her worry. Instead, TEC offers her a quiz. If she can answer five questions correctly, she can use the communicator.
1. What happens if the seven Crystal Stars are collected? The Thousand-Year Door opens
2. What is the goal of Grodus? To conquer the world
3. What is the legendary treasure behind the Thousand-Year Door? A 1,000 year-old demon's soul
4. What does Grodus wish to do with the ancient demon's soul? Bring the demon back to life
5. What is required to seal the demon again? Crystal Stars
Peach freaks out at the answers. TEC allows her to use the communicator. Peach asks if it was okay for TEC to tell her all that because TEC can't tell her directly. TEC tells her to send her message. After the message is sent, TEC sends her to her room. She thanks TEC, but still thinks it's weird.
Bowser and Kammy Koopa are in Rogueport, on the west side. Kammy reports of a great secret in Glitzville and wants to take the blimp. She asks for blimp tickets for a Koopa King and one sweet young thing and the ticket-taking Cheep-Cheep freaks out, calling her deluded. The ticket-taker runs off, with Kammy calling him a Cheep-skate. Bowser appears in his Clown Copter, saying he's been to Glitzville before, so he knows the way. He takes off, leaving her spinning. She falls off her broom and is left to take the blimp. She says her Special Dirigible Deluxe Brown Bag Kammy Lunch will go to waste. Bowser flies off for Glitzville, but smoke starts spewing from the copter. It stops working and he falls into the water.
It's time for an underwater side-scrolling adventure. Swim with (A) and breathe fire on Bloopers and X-Nauts. Spring to reach the pipe that takes you out of the water and knock over the flagpole. Bowser gets out of the water at Rogueport's port, saying he has to get in shape and that the experience was terrible. A Bob-omb at the port freaks out and the Toads run and hide. Kammy Koopa flies in with balloons and a Rawk Hawk headband. She asks where he was because she had fun in Glitzville. She enjoyed the fights and hot dogs. This cheeriness is too much for Bowser, so he breathes fire on her parade. He tells her he did not have fun and that he swallowed a Blooper while swimming. He wants information on Peach and the Crystal Stars.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door -- Interlude After Chapter 2 -- Part 2
At the entrance to the Great Tree, Punio thanks Mario, saying the Punies can return to their peaceful way of life. The elder is sad to see Mario leave, but tells him she loves pontificating, so he should stop by for a chat. Petuni says to visit sometime. Punio says the Punies will work together to prevent something like the X-Naut takeover from happening again. Mario leaves the tree and gets an email from Peach. She's still fine and worried about him. The X-Nauts are searching desperately for the Crystal Stars, so she will try to learn more about them. She'll email any information she finds. Peach misses Mario and dreams of their carefree days back at the castle. She hopes to spend more carefree days there soon again.
Go to the underground city. Near the grates that leads to the Boggly Woods, the wall is peeling. Blow the peeling part of the wall away to reveal a chest with the Happy Heart P badge. Go to Rogueport and check the trashcan in Frankly's place for a scrap of the Tattle Log. You'll get an email from Koopook saying he's hiding in Goomstar Temple someplace cold. He'll have to wait for now. Go to Merlon's and upgrade Flurrie.
Go to the center square and you'll find Luigi and an orange Blooper. Luigi says he went to Rumblebump Volcano and got a Marvelous Compass part. Ask him about what happened and he'll tell you the tale. He spent several days fording through dense jungle with many scary beasts. He thought he was done for and screamed a lot, to scare them off. A Blooper named Blooey heard him and found him in a town. Blooey was on a journey of his own, but decided to join Luigi. Others called Blooey a madman, the "White Torpedo". He helped Luigi fight his way to the volcano with bubbling lava pools and intense heat, as well as evil traps designed to protect the compass part. There was a 100-foot tall statue that stomped around, but had a weak spot in the red gem on its forehead. Luigi has a high jump, but it's not that high. He planned to have Blooey hit the weak spot, so he threw him up there and nailed the shot. The stone statue toppled and crumbled. He went to the treasure room, but did not find Princess Éclair. The compass pointed west to the Plumpbelly Village on the Strudel Continent. He's in Rogueport to recharge. Talk to Blooey and he'll call Luigi a total liar. Luigi did try to throw him at the stone statue, but Luigi tripped and Blooey ended up in the lava. His formerly pale skin is now crispy. He's hanging around only to make Luigi pay, even if it takes his whole lifetime.
There are a few more troubles at the Trouble Center:
The Puni elder was a Life Shroom. If you don't have one, they sell them in the shop on the west side. She'll be waiting in the Great Tree and will give you 60 coins.
Lahla announces the Pianta Parlor's grand opening. Talk to her to get something. Go to the parlor and talk to the Boo wearing cat ears. She'll give you 10 Piantas, the currency used in the Parlor.
Pine T. Jr. wants someone to help his father. He'll meet you at the Pit of 100 Trials. You can get there by flying west of the Thousand-Year Door or by dropping down the grate on the west side, then going through the pipe on the floor, then through the pipe that's behind the peeling wall. Talk to the young Toad and he'll tell you that his father went in search of the treasure here after he lost his job, but never returned. The Pit of 100 Trials is a series of battles spanning 100 floors. Most battles will only give you one Star Point, but feature a variety of enemies. Try to get the first strike to get an advantage in battle. Some of enemies you'll encounter are the Gloomba and Paragloomba (7 HP, 3 attack power) and the Pokey (4 HP, 3 attack power), as well as enemies you've already encountered. Every few floors, you'll get a break or find a Mover Puni who'll take you places for some coins. There are also merchants with items for sale that can help in the battles ahead. On floor ten is a large chest with the Sleepy Stomp badge. On floor 18, you'll find a Toad collapsed by the back wall. Talk to him and tell him about his son and he'll fallow you. He won't get in the way of your battles. On floor 20, you'll find the Fire Drive badge in the large chest, and a pipe to the exit. Talk to them once out of the pit, and Pine T. Sr. says he knows that his health and family are more important and will look for more work. Pine T. Jr. will give you his treasure, a Silver Card for Paper Mode in the Pianta Parlor.
Go east and hold the map aloft in front of the Thousand-Year Door. A floating area appears with the gold Crystal Star. Frankly says that the underground ruins have been intact for a thousand years and that the Thousand-Year Door was sealed for that long by the Crystal Stars. All of them are needed to open the door. Mario's partner asks why the door was sealed, but Frankly neither knows why nor what caused the town's demise. All that is written is that the sky grew dark and a cataclysm rained down. They can't assume anything. The map points to a floating area, which Frankly informs them is Glitzville, a floating arena where great warriors engage in furious battle. Families vacation there to lounge and enjoy the fights, but behind the scenes, the richest people in the world bet on the matches. The partner wonders how to reach Glitzville and Frankly tells them that they'll need to take a special blimp that departs from Rogueport. They'll need a ticket, obtained through certain "channels". Don Pianta controls access to blimp tickets and is located on the west side of Roguport. He's the head of the Pianta syndicate and Frankly's heard scary rumors about him. Don Pianta is reclusive and getting an audience with him will be difficult.
The way to reach Don Pianta is to talk to Ishnail, the Robbo's boss. Flip sideways to go between the Trouble Center and the locked building. Back here is his lair. Talk to him and he'll say that he hates Don Pianta, who makes criminal life difficult. Pay him 64 coins and he'll tell you the secret: go the west side item shop and buy a Dried Shroom and Dizzy Dial in that order. When asked your favor color, say "Yellow". Do as he says and the Boo running the shop will have the backdoor to the shop opened. Go outside and up the stairs to his office.
Don Pianta's at his desk, in a bad mood. He thinks it's funny Mario had the guts to come up to his office and ask for a blimp ticket. His associates ask what they should do with Mario, but Don Pianta says to leave him alone. He likes Mario's gumption. He asks Mario why he wants a blimp ticket and Mario explains that he's trying to help a woman who's been kidnapped by collecting the Crystal Stars. Don Pianta likes guys who want rescue girls, so he decides that if Mario does him a favor, he'll give him a blimp ticket. Don Pianta explains that his daughter eloped with one of his associates and the two of them vanished not too long ago. He wants Mario to find Francesca and Frankie and bring them back to his office, or tell him where they are and he'll settle the matter with extreme prejudice. He tells them what they look like and that Mario's luck may turn terrible if he doesn't find them.
Go to the port and you'll find them at the dock. Talk to them and Francesca freaks out at her father looking for them. Frankie thinks they should talk to him and she disagrees. He says they can't run forever. Tell them you'll pretend you never saw them and leave. Go back to Don Pianta and tell him, and they'll enter the office. Frankie begs forgiveness. Don Pianta is disappointed. Both of them try to take the blame. Don Pianta tells them to be quiet, saying Francesca used up her last favor long ago and that he can't believe Frankie did this to him after he treated Frankie like a son. He doesn't want to see them ever again and that they can do whatever they want, including getting married. They both leave happy. Talk to Don Pianta again to get the Blimp Ticket. He says he's happy she's happy and he doesn't want to see Mario again, either.
Go north of the west side of town and show the Blimp Ticket to the Cheep-Cheep. Go to the pipe and check behind it for a Star Piece. Go through the pipe to the background and walk up to the blimp. It will take off, with some nice music to start the chapter.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door -- Prologue: A Rogue's Welcome -- Part 2
The pipe near Professor Frankly's place takes to the ruins of the underground city. Walk to the right and you'll encounter a Goomba, a Paragoomba, and a Spiky Goomba. You'll have to battle all three of them. All of them have 2 HP. The Goomba has 1 attack power, and the Spiky Goomba and Paragoomba have 2 attack power. If you want to change attack order, press (Y). After you defeat them, they run off. Frankly explains how to get the First Strike in the field to get an advantage in battle. Jump on an enemy or hit them with your hammer, then initiate the Action Command once the battle starts. Enemies can also get the First Strike, but you can guard against it. Go up the stairs, walk towards the back, and take the moving platform to the left to a pipe. Go through it.
Go down the stairs. Hit the item blocks on the ground for a Mushroom and a Fire Flower. Hit the yellow blocks in the area to reveal a pipe. Go through it and you'll see a small creature go through a crack. You'll find Spinias in this area. They have 3 HP and 1 attack power. They attack quickly, so guarding can be a little difficult. Walk to the right and you'll see the wall peeling off slightly. Hit the switch to reveal some stairs. Go through the door on the back wall. There's a black chest in the room. Check it out and it talks. It says that if Mario can hear it, he must be a hero of legend. An evil spirit cast a curse, locking it in the box. All this time, whoever is inside has been waiting for a hero. Frankly doesn't trust the chest and says not to mention the Crystal Stars. The chest says that to find the Crystal Stars, you'll need its help. Mario needs to look for a Black Key to let it out. Leave through the door, then drop down to the left to find the Black Key. Unlock the chest and whoever's inside is happy, but not thankful. It calls them fools and won't help them. Instead, it decides to spread some of the suffering it endured while trapped in the chest and curses Mario. If (Y) is pressed on certain airplane panels, Mario will fold up into one. Tilt left and right on the Control Stick to control your altitude. With skill, Mario can fly long distances. Press (B) to return to normal. Go outside and you'll find one such airplane panel. Give it a try and fly west. Go through the door.
In this chamber is a giant, ornate door. This is the Thousand-Year Door. Frankly can't believe that it's real. Stand on the pedestal before it and rings of light appear. The map glows and rises. The map changes, as it is now marked with a castle that wasn't there before and a Crystal Star. Mario learns a new move called Sweet Treat. Each Crystal Star will give Mario a Special Move. The three of them return to Professor Frankly's place.
He explains how to use Special Moves and Star Power. There's a Star Power gauge that shows how much star power Mario has. Sweet Treat involves tilting the Control Stick left while a crosshair moves automatically. Aim for the hearts and flowers and avoid the Poison Mushrooms, which will temporarily stun you. Use this to restore HP for both Mario and his party member and FP. There's an audience for all battles. They'll help restore Star Power. If you appeal to the crowd, they'll give Mario more Star Power. Another way to get more Star Power is to use Stylish Moves. They're part of everyone's moves. Press (A) at certain points and Mario and his party will do extra moves for style. For example, during Mario's hammer attack, press (A) after the hammer hits the enemy and Mario backflips. Press (A) again when he lands for another Stylish Move. For his jump, press (A) at the top of each jump. For Goombella, when she uses Tattle, press (A) again after lining up the cursor and pressing (A). For Headbonk, press (A) just as she's about to lift off the ground and she'll flip. Each time you successfully complete an Action Command, a panel will appear in the upper right corner. If the two panels match, on the next successful Action Command, a third panel will cycle through like a slot machine. Match up all the icons for BINGO! The audience will increase in size, allowing you to get more Star Power and something special will happen depending on the panel type. Hearts will fully restore HP; Flowers, FP; Stars, Star Power; and Shine Sprites, all of the above. Match three Poison Mushrooms and all of the above will be halved. Don't try to match them. Sometimes, audience members will try to throw things at Mario. The (X) button will appear below Mario, and, if pressed, Mario will knock that audience member out. In the example someone will try to throw a hammer. Sometimes, audience members will throw helpful things like coins, so leave them alone.
Frankly takes a look at the map and says that the Crystal Star is located in Petal Meadows, which is east of Rogueport. He's always been a little suspicious of the place. Mario has to go by pipe to get there. The pipe is located under Rogueport. He also mentions speaking with Peach while she was in town. She asked about the treasure the map leads to and he thinks she may have gone to Petal Meadows to look for it. Goombella says that another suspicious groups was asking about the treasure, but Peach is not involved with them. While Mario catches up to her, Frankly will stay here. He gives Mario the Power Smash badge to give him an edge in battle and instructs on how to equip it. This is one of the attacks that uses FP.
Go outside and you'll see a Robbo named Gus. He's collecting tolls to go to the east side of Rogueport. If you're gutsy, you can try to beat him now. He has 20 HP and 3 attack power. Don't jump on him due to his spear. If you try to battle him now, be sure to have a Mushroom on hand. The set of the battle may fall on everyone, so be sure to guard. He'll give 22 SP. He comments that dumb video game heroes always pull this stuff and think that violence solves everything. He runs off. Right now, there's nothing to do on the east side. Heal, then go through the pipe to the underground ruins.
To the right is an airplane panel. Fly to the right and go through the door. There's water here and a tentacle sticking out of the water. Hit it and someone says that hurt. It's Blooper, saying Mario has some serious moxie hitting its tentacle like that. It has 12 HP and 1 attack power. It will attack with its tentacles and ink. Hit the tentacles to make Blooper fall down so you can attack it. Each tentacle has 3 HP. Defeat it for 20 SP. Blooper flies up and leaves, and moving platforms appear in the water. Use them to cross the water to a gray pipe. Go through it to start the chapter.
Go down the stairs. Hit the item blocks on the ground for a Mushroom and a Fire Flower. Hit the yellow blocks in the area to reveal a pipe. Paper Mario: Interlude After Chapter 5
In her castle, Peach tells Twink that she wants to sneak out again. Twink says she's become so bold, when he originally thought she was gentle and delicate. Peach emphasizes that she is delicate and is behaving just like the Ministers taught her. Hit the switch on the wall and you'll end up on the other side of the revolving door. Deposit any badges you have into the chest, then go downstairs, then to the door on the left.
A Koopatrol is on the other side of the door and immediately notices her. A Hammer Bro walks up, saying it isn't so bad if Peach wanders around because she can't escape from the castle. The Hammer Bro asks Peach to be the third member in the game they're about to play. He won't tell Bowser about her sneaking out if she participates.
The game they're about to play is the 64th Trivia Quiz-Off, brought to you by Koopa Korps. The host is Mr. Hammer. He'll ask 10 questions. Answer the most to win a fabulous prize. There is also a participation prize. If you have the answer, press (A). The questions are as follows:
1. What's the name of the boss inside the volcano on Lavalava Island? Lava Piranha
2. Where did Master Huff N. Puff imprison the Star Spirit? Flower Fields
3. What's the name of the scary round monster living in Dry Dry Ruins? Chomp
4. How would you get to Flower Fields? Pass Flower Gate
5. What's the name of the person who King Bowser really loves? Princess Peach
6. What thing is most deeply related to Flower Fields? Flower
7. What's the name of the most admirable, invincible, most downright cool guy around? Bowser (No, really, the answer is not Mario. Bowser's minions wrote the questions.)
8. What's the name for the ghosts who live in and around Forever Forest? Boo
9. What's the name of the area just to the south of the post office in Toad Town? The Flower Garden
10. Where is Peach's Castle now? On Bowser's Castle
Many of the questions are less than subtle hints about where Mario should go next. If Peach wins, she'll get a Jammin' Jelly, an item that restores 50 FP. Regardless of who wins, Peach will get the participation prize, the Sneaky Parasol. If Peach faces someone and press (B), Peach will transform into them. Mr. Hammer makes her promise not to use it to sneak out, as no one would know it's her. Bowser walks in, wanting to play the game. Peach tries to sneak out. Mr. Hammer breaks the news that the game is over. Bowser is disappointed, then surprised when he notices Peach in the room. He orders them to take her back to her room. The guards apologize when they pick her up.
Back on Lavalava Island, Misstar is thankful that they escaped the volcano safely. Kolorado is still upset about missing the treasure. Misstar chastises him, saying no treasure is more valuable than life. She also says that Lavalava Island was imperiled by Bowser's men's meddling. The eruption will subside and the island will be the same as before. She gives Mario more Star Energy and the new ability Smooch, which restores 20 HP. Misstar is thankful and wishes Mario success. She returns to Star Haven. Kolorado returns to Yoshi Village, dejected.
Go through the village to reach the jungle. Go west to reach the chest with the Volcano Vase, the treasure. Talk to the Bub-ulb and he'll tell you he gave the seed to Kolorado. Return to the village to give the Volcano Vase to Kolorado. He's joyful, calling Mario the "cat's meow". In return, he gives Mario the last Magical Seed and calls the trip a success. He now wants to return to Toad Town. Heal and save and make sure you have the Spiky Shield badge equipped. When you're ready, go and board the whale. He'll leave just as Jr. Troopa reaches Lavalava Island with a yell. He swam the whole way here. He still wants to beat Mario, but soon notices that Mario has already left. He swims after him.
When they reach Toad Town, Kolorado announces that he shall never again travel by tuna and he will be returning home. Jr. Troopa finally arrives, declaring that he will never swim again in his life. He wants to battle Mario once again. Because he is tuckered out from swimming, he loses half his HP, leaving him with 20 HP. He also has 6 attack power and 1 defense power. To make life difficult, he grows wings and has a spike on his head. Some party members can easily reach him, namely Watt, who's Electro Dash bypasses defenses. If you have the Spike Shield badge equipped, Mario can use jump attacks. Otherwise, use items or Star Powers. He'll attack with a dive kick. Once you defeat him, you'll get 22 SP. He then realizes that flying to and from the island wouldn't have reduced his HP and he might've defeated Mario.
When you try to leave the port, you'll see Goombaria and Goomama. Bring out Goombario and they'll tell him that they're proud of him. Leave the port and go to the train station to deliver a letter to Dane T. He has a letter for his uncle Frost T. in Starborn Valley. We'll deliver it later. Go to Russ T., the Toad who translated the Shy Guy's note, and deliver the letter. He'll give you a Star Piece. Go into the Toad Town Tunnels and go to the mansion. Deliver a letter to Igor, who runs the shop in the basement. He'll give you a Star Piece. Heal and save outside the mansion, then return to the tunnels.
Use Sushie to swim across the water east of the blue pipe that leads to the mansion. When you reach the other dock, Super Blooper will appear. It has 70 HP and 5 attack power. It can produce Blooper Babies or charge up, turning red in the process. The Blooper Babies have 6 HP each. When they appear, use a Shooting Star or Star Storm to get rid of them. You'll get 25 SP when you defeat it.
A switch will appear. Hit it to make the blue pipe to Lavalava Island appear. Go east in the tunnels. There are Dark Koopas here. Go east again and you'll see an area with some invisible blocks. Go through the pipe on the right to an empty room. Have Bombette blow up the right wall to find the hideout of Rip Cheato. He'll sell you mystery items for 64 coins each. Some are worth the deal, others are not (like Dried Shrooms). Go through the pipe in this room to reach the inside of the locked house in Toad Town. The key is in the upper left corner, so unlock the door to leave.
Koopa Koot has some more favors to ask of Mario. First, he lost his glasses somewhere in Koopa Village. They're in the shrub with the flower near the Toad House. Your reward is 1 coin. Next, he asks for a Lime. They can be found in the oasis in Dry Dry Desert. The reward is 3 Star Pieces. After that, he wants a Kooky Cookie. Have Tayce T. cook with a Koopa Leaf and a Cake Mix, then bring it back to him for 1 coin.
If you're feeling confident, you can try to take on the Master of the Dojo one more time. This time he has 99 HP, 10 attack power and 1 defense power. Equip the Zap Tap badge (obtained from Merlow), have Watt as your partner, and keep a Repel Gel on you. His attacks are very strong, and he can hit multiple times in a single attack for massive damage, unless the Zap Tap badge is equip. The badge will shock him, only allowing him to hit once (and it does a little damage). Have Watt power up Mario's attack, and use Electro Dash to get past his defense. Power Bounce works well. Be sure to heal when you need to. Smooch comes in handy here. Use the Repel Gel to dodge attacks for a few turns. Keep at it and you may defeat him. He'll say you've bested the strongest of fighters and award you the Diploma. Heal and save.
Near the Toad House, you'll find Kolorado. He says he can't go home because Kent C. Koopa is blocking Pleasant Path and charging a toll of 100 coins. He's a strong Koopa. Kolorado is going to look for a secret way into the village. Instead of telling him about the Toad Town Tunnels, go east to challenge him. He's a giant Koopa wearing glasses. Tell him twice that you want to fight and he'll battle you. He has 70 HP, 3 attack power, and 6 defense power. He'll slowly attack Mario and his partner with his shell, causing the partner to sit out a few turns if you don't successfully guard. He'll also stomp Mario with 10 attack power. He's difficult to beat unless you make him fall asleep. Sleepy Sheep or Lullaby will work. Then, flip him over on his shell and stomp his tail, his weak point. Once again, have Watt power up Mario, then use Electro Dash. Keep at it until you defeat him and get 20 SP. He says Mario must be really strong and runs away crying. Return to Toad Town, heal and save.
Across the road from the Toad House is the Flower Garden, tended to my Minh T. There are some Bub-ulbs here from Flower Fields, saying Flower Fields is in a state of despair due to Bowser's minions. Minh T. says to get to Flower Field, you need four kinds of seeds only Bub-ulbs have and you need to find them. We already have them, so hand them over so she can plant them. They bloom instantly. The archway in the middle lights up and flowers flow through it. A door appears and Mario can go through it to start the next chapter.

Paper Mario: Interlude After Chapter 1
In the castle, Peach paces, wondering about Mario. Twink provides encouragement, saying Mario's probably saving some Star Spirits now. Peach wants to leave her room, but there are guards right outside her door and jumping out of the window isn't an option. She remembers the Minister telling her of a secret passage out of her room, so she starts to look for it. Check out her dresses and she'll tell Twink that they're all slightly different and very fashionable. If you check out the cosmetics, she'll powder her nose. She doesn't want Twink looking at the picture of Mario for some reason.
Check out the fireplace. For some reason, Twink finds the warm fireplace to be suspicious. Check out the picture to the right of the fireplace and Peach will find a switch behind it. Hit the switch and the fire goes out and the grate falls, revealing a passage through the fireplace. It leads to a dark hallway. Walk to the left and you'll find a wall with a switch. Hit the switch to make the wall rotate into the next room.
The door leading out of the room is locked. On a table to the left is an open book. It's a private diary. Twink asks Peach if she will read it. She starts reading it. The first entry says the owner of the diary went to Star Haven, stole the Star Rod, and captured the Star Spirits. The second entry says they used their castle to lift Peach's Castle in the sky, beat up Mario, and kidnapped Peach. They hope Peach likes them. It becomes obvious to Peach and Twink that this is Bowser's diary. Peach has a choice to either stop reading or to continue. If she continues reading, she'll find the third entry says that the Koopa Bros. were defeated by Mario and the Star Spirit they held was freed. But there is no way that Mario can save the Star Spirit in Dry Dry Ruins because he'd have to solve the mystery of the sand and find the ruins in Dry Dry Desert. Mario wouldn't know to go there to look for a Star Spirit. Twink says he'll go inform Mario.
Bowser walks in, worried about leaving his secret diary out in the open. He'd be embarrassed if anyone read it. He sees Peach, figures out that she read it, and freaks out. He has the guards take her to her room.
Outside Koopa Bros. Fortress, Eldstar, the Star Spirit Mario saved, is talking to Mario. He's thankful for being saved and believes Mario can save the other Star Spirits. Now that he has been freed, the seal on his power has been broken and he will slowly recover it. He powers up Mario, giving him the ability to use the Star Spirits' power in battle. Mario will need Star Energy to use these powers. Star Energy appears as a gauge under HP. If there is a Star filled up at the end of the bar, he has that many units of Star Energy to use. His first Star Power is Refresh, which heals 5 HP and 5 FP. When it's Mario's turn, a bit of Star Energy is restored. Using Focus during battle restores a greater amount of Star Energy. Mario can also fully replenish Star Energy by staying at a Toad House. Eldstar tells Mario he must save the other Star Spirits quickly so they can give him the Star Beam, an attack that counters the Star Rod. Eldstar will go to Star Haven for now, but is always watching over Mario and his friends. It's time to leave the fortress.
Have Bombette blow up the cracked wall blocking access to a pipe. The pipe will take you onto the roof of a structure. There's a chest here with the FP Plus badge. Drop down and go west. Back in Koopa Village, Koopa Koot wants Mario to retrieve a tape from Goompa. Once you give the tape to him, he'll give you one coin. Head west to Toad Town, but stay healed. At the edge of Toad Town, Jr. Troopa appears, then falls into the water. He's back and asks if Mario remembers him. He's confident he'll beat Mario. He has 15 HP and will give 20 SP when defeated. He'll hide in his shell to increase his defense. Use the hammer, Shell Toss, or Body Slam to do damage. Once you defeat him, go into Toad Town.
Once in Toad Town, Twink finds Mario, saying he heard that Mario saved a Star Spirit and that Bowser's angry about it. He says there's a Star Spirit held in the Dry Dry Ruins in the Dry Dry Desert. He'll send more news once he and Peach get more information.
In Toad Town, you can reach more places. The badge shop is now open and Mario can head to the southern part of the town. Here, you'll find the train station and the port. There's a pink Bub-ulb, who'll give Mario the pink Magical Seed. You'll also find the pipe into the Toad Town Tunnels, the sewers that run under the town.
Inside the tunnels, you'll find Gloombas and Spiked Gloombas, dark Goombas with more health and more powerful attacks. They each have 7 HP and give 4 SP upon defeat. Go all the way to the east and a Blooper will appear. It has 30 HP and gives 20 SP upon defeat. It will drop down onto Mario or hit him with a blast of ink. It floats over the ground, so use jump attacks and Headbonk. Once you defeat it, you can access the chest with the Shrink Stomp.
Return to the surface and check out the Dojo. You'll initially fight Chan, a Buzzy Beetle with 15 HP. Flip him over with a jump to decrease his defense. Once you defeat Chan, you'll get the First-Degree Card from the Master. Heal and challenge Lee, the Duplighost. He'll imitate one of Mario's partners. He has 20 HP and you'll get the Second-Degree Card for defeating him.
Go east, then south to reach the train station. The train is the only way to reach Dry Dry Desert, but a boulder fell on the tracks when Peach's Castle was lifted into the air. Use Bombette to clear the path, then board the train.
When Mario enters Toad Town, Twink finds him, saying that he heard Mario saved a Star Spirit. Bowser's angry about it. He tells Mario that there's a Star Spirit in the Dry Dry Ruins in the Dry Dry Desert. Twink will send more news when he and Peach get more information.

Super Mario 3D World: Flower-7 -- Pipeline Boom Lagoon
Grab the Cannon Box and cross the water with the Madpoles to reach the pipe. Hit the item blocks to form bridges so you can reach the crates above for a Mushroom. Nearby is a Goomba sand sculpture that contains Microgoombas. Drop down into the water and you'll find Rammerheads and Bloopers. There are some gray bricks to the far right. Break them with the Cannon Box for the first Green Star. Swim up for the warp box to the midpoint.
There are spike blocks in the water here. Swim up between the spike blocks to find more spike blocks and Bloopers, near the second Green Star. Swim down, following the arrow, then break the gray bricks for a Green Ring. The Green Coins will give you the third Green Star. Use cannonballs to make collecting the coins easier. Swim up, to the left of the green pipe, for a clear pipe that takes you to a green pipe and two Moneybags. The green pipe will take you to the flagpole and a Bowser sand sculpture, which contains coins.
There are no stamps in World Flower.

Super Mario 3D World: Star-7 -- Gargantuan Grotto
Many of the enemies are larger here in this jungle. There are stacks of Goombas, one of which has a 1-up. Nearby are giant Galoombas. The item block on the back wall has a Mega Mushroom. Move quickly to the right. You'll see some gray bricks on the back wall and in the ground. Destroy the gray bricks on the back wall to get the stamp. Destroy the bricks on the ground to drop down. If your Mega Mushroom runs out, there are holes so you can drop down. At the bottom is an invisible block with a Tanooki Suit. To the right are Microgoombas and pink wall enemies. Clear them out and wall jump up behind them for the first Green Star. Farther to the right is the midpoint.
Drop into the water, where there are Bloopers and spike blocks above a vortex. Swim near the back wall near the bottom to avoid the spikes. Swim up and out of the water over the gray bricks. Grab the Mega Mushroom in the item block and go quickly to the right. Pound the bouncy pads to jump through gray bricks ahead. At the top is the second Green Star. As long as you break at least one gray brick, you can swim up to get it later. To the right is a pipe. Swim above it to find another pipe. You'll find a P-Switch and a Mega Mushroom. There are three rounds of coins to collect for the third Green Star. Go back through the pipe, then go through the pipe below to the flagpole. There is a Goomba stack near the flag.
The stamp is of a Mega Mushroom.

Super Mario 3D World: Castle-6 -- Rammerhead Reef
At the start, you'll drop into some water. There are Bloopers and Rammerheads, hammerhead sharks with spiky heads. They swim in a set path, so watch them before you start swimming. Grab the Fire Flower and destroy the middle crate of a set of crates. Behind that crate is an alcove with the first Green Star. To the right is a pipe. The pipe takes you to an area with many Rammerheads swimming in a loop. Wait for a gap and swim up with them. Wait at the top, as this will make it easier to pick up another Fire Flower and the second Green Star that are trailing a couple of Rammerheads. Go to the right and drop down to the pipe to the right. There's nothing interesting below.
The pipe takes you outside to the midpoint. There's a Koopa and some Madpoles, that look like tadpoles. You can lure the fish if you get their attention. Kill all of them with the shell for a 1-up and some coins, but this may take a lot of time. The pipe is in the alcove in the back wall. It takes you back underwater. There are Rammerheads swimming in circles. Behind the second set is a clear pipe with spike balls. Clear the spike balls with fireballs and go through the pipe to get the third Green Star. Up ahead are many Rammerheads swimming up or down like infinite platforms. There's an alcove in the wall with the stamp. The pipe to the flag is to the right. There are stairs to the flagpole, but some Rammerheads will swim over them.
The stamp is of a Blooper.

Super Princess Peach: Gleam Glacier -- 6-8
The wind is blowing here and it changes speed and direction. This can make it especially difficult to navigate the ice platforms with Ravens ahead.
The pipe at the end leads to a Subrella course. There are Blurps, Bloopers, and Torpedo Teds.
Go past the Goombas and go down the ladder. Run past the Rexes, down the path until you come to a weight. Pound that into the ground with the Rage Vibe to reach Level 8 of the minigame Toad Tote. Melt the icicles and go down the ladder to reach the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Bowser's Villa -- 8-3
Get the Vibe Crystal and start running using the Gloom Vibe. There are Boos that will chase you over the donut lifts over the lava. They'll disappear once they run into the light. Go through the pipe.
There are Bob-ombs and walking cannons, as well as platforms with spikes on the side. Be careful when trying to use them. Beware of the many Thwomps in the area. Past the second spiked platform, to the right, is a set of purple platforms. Climb up them, then walk left for a Toad. Drop down and run left, dodging Thwomps, to reach a pipe.
The pipe leads to a rope course. Jump over the enemies so they do not bump you off the course.
Go through the pipe at the end of the rope course and you'll drop down in front of a Toad. Go up, then drop down near the Spinies, then use the Gloom Vibe to push the metal ball. Take the spiked platforms to the top, then pound the blocks in front of the door to reach a puzzle piece. Go through the door.
Through the door is a Thwomp in the background and some Peach statues. Duck when it wakes up to avoid damage. The door leads to a dark room with many crystals and Angry Boos. Use the Rage Vibe to create some light. Go through the pipe to the upper left.
This leads to a Subrella course with fire bars, Torpedo Teds, Bloopers, Blurps, and Urchins. Take the pipe on the right.
Go to the right, across the blue donut lifts to find a Toad. Drop down to the door. (The door on the left leads to some coins, hearts, and crystals.)
Use the Podoboos to light the torches and open the door. It leads to fire bars, lava, and the goal.

Super Princess Peach: Gleam Glacier -- 6-2
There are Para Bob-ombs here. In the first area, there are two pipes to take. The upper pipe leads to an area with coins. The lower one leads to a Toad which is just below a pipe. Fly following the trail of crystals and hearts over a Chomp. Fly above the pipe at the end to find some Sad Spinies and another pipe to the left.
This pipe leads to a snowman and a sleeping Hammer Bro. Walk left, avoiding the icicles on the ceiling. Use fire on the large icicles to reach a Toad. The pipe to the left leads to a Subrella course. Avoid or beat the Blurps and Bloopers. There are Urchins and walls of Blurps ahead. The pipe on the left leads to an area with a puzzle piece.
Fly up to get the puzzle piece, then walk left. There are cracked blocks of ice that break when you stand on them for too long. Go back to the area where the Toad was guarded by icicles. Take the lower pipe to the right.
Use the bouncy green ball to reach a Toad. The goal is just ahead, but there are gaps and icy platforms to deal with.

New Super Luigi U: Superstar Road-3 -- Star Coin Deep Dive
It's time to go swimming and your swimming buddies are blue Cheep-Cheeps and Big Bertha. Swim quickly and dodge them if you can't kill them. Bring a Fire Flower and try to keep it. There is an invisible block at the start with a Starman. The first Star Coin is in a ring of Cheep-Cheep. Let Big Bertha kill the Cheep-Cheep if you can't so you can reach the Star Coin. The second Star Coin will move along the currents created by the pipes. It will stop at the top of the screen. Ahead are rotating pipes, Red Coins, and Bloopers, some of which are in pipes. More blue Cheep-Cheeps will appear near the end. You'll have to chase the third Star Coin as it rides on the currents. It will lead you to the red pipe that takes you to the flagpole.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team -- Part 15: Expansion Packs
Seadric used a Dream Egg to expand Dreamy Driftwood Shores. Cross over into the new expansion, then go to the right. The gravity Luiginary Work is here. Use it to reach the pipe on the ceiling and go through it. There are Piranha Plants here. They'll spew seeds to create Nippers, then spew a fireball at the Nippers, who'll juggle it, then send it to Mario. Counter with a hammer. The Nippers may also fire their own fireballs. The Piranha Plants will fire off a fireball and a Fly Guy in quick succession. Jump over the fireball and stand still for the Fly Guy. The Nippers will disappear when the Piranha Plant that created them is defeated. Walk all the way to the right for an Attack Piece. To get it, go onto the ceiling so that you are directly over an item block, but not the Attack Piece block. Flip gravity so that Mario falls towards the floor and get it. Go through the left pipe. There are platforms that look like umbrellas here. Use the left one to reach the Attack Piece high on the left. Use the right one to reach the maze above it, which has another Attack Piece. Return and go through the right pipe.
There are new enemies called Bloopurns. They are jars that contain Bloopers and release Mushrooms and Spinies. When they take enough damage, they'll release Bloopers. Sometimes you'll counter with a hammer, other times with jumping if they don't fly over Mario. Go to the right and hit the orange ! Block to reach the lower pipe on the left. Above the orange ! Block is an Attack Piece. Go through the lower pipe on the left. They'll find a gravity Luiginary Work and a maze with Pi'illo symbols. Dreambert thinks they'll have to use gravity to bring the symbols together. Use gravity to send the symbol to the right, up, right, up, left, down, right, then down. The symbols are united and the maze lowers to reveal a pipe.
Through the pipe is a purple pipe with Broque Madame's symbol on it. Someone calls to the bros from the left. Going through the purple pipe will lead to a ! Block that removes a barrier between the pipe and Broque Madame's shop. Return and walk to the left. Seadric appears. He asks if the bros brought the second Dream Egg and enjoyed the loot. Mario says there are monsters in this area, which Seadric says there shouldn't be. He says that something evil must have lured the monsters here. Considering most of the monsters are familiar to the bros, it's probably a safe bet as to who this is. Seadric says something bad got in the dream world and they need to hide Peach deeper in the dream world. Seadric expands the dream world further, then goes ahead to leave some loot. Peach appears, saying it's sweet that Mario expanded the dream world for her, while Dreamy Luigi gets no such compliment.
Cross over into the new expansion. Go through the pipe on the left. Use the gravity Work to hit the orange ! Blocks. Grab the Attack Pieces along the way. Go through the blue pipe when you can reach it. Go through the green pipe in the ground. At level 26, the bros will rank up to Star Rank. Pick a bonus, which now includes boosting the healing power of items in battle and reducing the cost of Bros. Attacks and Luiginary Attacks. In this area, get the Attack Piece in the upper left corner. Return, then go through the pipe on the side using the umbrella. This will take you to another area with umbrellas. Go through the other green pipe by using the umbrella.
In this area, the bros will look over the ledge and see lots of spikes. Hover Jump, following the coin trail. To the right are more coins over the spikes. To the left is a couple of pipes. The upper pipe leads will take you over the pipe that you used to enter the area. The lower one leads to an Attack piece and another pipe. To reach the pipe, stand on the umbrella and flip upside down. This will move the umbrella into position. Move gravity to the left wall and enter the pipe.
The last two Attack Pieces are here. You'll need to hit the left ! Block to reach one of them. This gives the bros the Luiginary Attack Luiginary Flame. Fire Luiginoids will pass off a flame to Mario, who'll send it down the line, getting bigger and bigger. Press (A) and (B) to keep the fireball going. Press (A) at the end to hammer it at the enemies. The right one makes the blue pipe accessible.
The blue pipe leads to a yellow pipe and Seadric. Go through the yellow pipe to remove the barrier, then return. Seadric says the last Dream Egg will maximize the dream world. The dream world expands. Seadric says the deepest part of the dream world should be through there. Mario says that Bowser and his minions might be luring monsters into the dream world, so Seadric will keep an eye out for them. Peach arrives, a little worried about someone letting monsters into the dream world, but will be fine waiting by herself. Cross over into the expansion.
Go through the green pipe on the right. Spring Jump up, then spin the nuts and bolts to reach other parts of the area. Go to the upper right. Ground pound through the rocks, then go to the lower left for an Ultra Candy, then return. Spring Jump up, then ground pound through more rocks. Spring Jump to the right to reach the pipe on the right. Use the Luiginary Flame attack on the Piranha Plants for critical damage. Go through the blue pipe after hitting the ! Block.
Here is another gravity maze puzzle with Pi'illo symbols. Move the symbol up, right, down, left, up, right, then down. This reveals a green pipe. Peach wanders in. She was worried and decided to check on the bros. Peach wants to go through the pipe as well, thinking that they've come so far that Bowser won't find them there. She says, to be safe, that the bros should save. Take her advice, and heal as well.
The bros go through the pipe, and it's immediately blocked off, as well as the other pipe leading to Broque Madame's shop. Peach says they can probably relax and they won't be interrupted here. She's acting strangely. Someone laughs, but it's not Peach. It sounds like Kamek. Peach's voice changes, asking if the bros still don't get it. Peach pulls off her disguise to reveal Kamek. This is the second time he's masqueraded as Peach. He pretended to be Peach to smuggle monsters into the dream world and bring the bros to the deepest part of the dream world. There's no mention of what happened to the real Peach. Mario suggests that he might've also wanted to wear Peach's dress. He thinks it's pretty cute. He thinks his blue robes are drab, before realizing what he's just admitted to. He says the bros should surrender, and lifts up the dress to reveal Private Goomp, Corporal Paraplonk, and Sergeant Guy. Kamek leaves the three to battle the bros. Private Goomp thinks this is their big chance to prove themselves. Corporal Paraplonk thinks they'll get a promotion for defeating the bros. The two call a time-out to discuss their career path trajectory. Corporal Paraplonk likes the fact that they're honor guards, but thinks they can get more executive positions by winning. Goomp likes the idea of being Kamek's superiors. Paraplonk comes up with the crazy idea that they might become Bowser's superiors. Sergeant Guy remains silent through all this. They return to the bros and thank them for waiting. Luigi's been drawing in the sand, which upsets Goomp. The battle starts.
Besides the three, there's a Banzai Blaster, and an army of Goombas, some in the background. The Goombas you defeat will be replaced with the Goombas in the background. The Goombas will form a stack and attack Mario a couple of times. Either dodge or jump on them, but jumping on them is better. They'll then rush back from behind. Jump to dodge as many as you can. Periodically, Sergeant Guy will have the Banzai Blaster loaded. Paraplonk will bounce between blocks, aiming for Mario. Counter or dodge by jumping. If you counter, he'll take out part of the Goomba reserve army. Sergeant Guy will turn the Goombas into Shy Guys like him. They'll approach Mario, so counter with the hammer. He'll be the one with the flag with Bowser's emblem in red. If Goomp or Sergeant Guy fall in battle, Paraplonk will revive them. They must be defeated at the same time. The Banzai Blaster will fire the Banzai Bill at Mario. It will chase it, so jump to dodge. The three will bring out a giant Bob-omb and chase Mario. The Goombas and the three will charge at Mario, so run around and jump to dodge. The Bob-omb will eventually explode, hurting the three. Use Luiginary Attacks as always, mainly the Luiginary Ball, as the Luiginary Flame doesn't hit Paraplonk. Keep at it until all three are defeated with a single attack.
Kamek calls the three pathetic and asks if a bunch of weaklings can guard Bowser. They are fired from their position as leaders of the honor guard and put on KP duty to clean Bowser's Castle. They beg for forgiveness. Kamek uses magic to send them out of the dream world. He says having the three battle the bros wasn't as fun, but the battle was merely for sport. Bowser kidnapped the real Peach. Kamek says they're probably in his new castle now. He doesn't need the bros anymore and leaves. Dreambert's upset at being deceived. He says they should return to the real world to formulate a new strategy. The pipes open up. Go through the pink pipe to go to Broque Madame's shop, so you can reach the portal quickly through the blue pipe.
Toadsworth asks how the mission went. Mario explains that Peach was an imposter. Starlow and Toadsworth freak out. Starlow suggests returning to Broque Madame's store, and she might be able to help them. Broque Madame is calm, but amazed that Peach was a fake. Toadsworth is embarrassed that he couldn't tell, even though he's know her all her life. Starlow suggests going to Neo Bowser Castle, but it's high in the sky and guarded by a barrier. Broque Madame mentions that Dr. Snoozemore, the proprietor of the island who invited Peach and the bros, has returned. Dreambert says they must visit him, as he's interested in meeting someone who's studying the Pi'illos. He also thinks Dr. Snoozemore may have ideas on dealing with Neo Bowser Castle, which was created by the Dream Stone. He is in Pi'illo Castle, so the bros should head there.
